Mikhail hugged him tighter, quickly pulling his head away when he realized he was going to stain Arthur's shirt with blood. "W-We can jump out the window, it's not that high." Richard burst into the room, pointing the gun at both of them again. "Get away from Mikhail."
Arthur was about to pull Mikhail back into his grasp when he heard Richard come back up. "That's it" he growled, unable to contain his fury anymore, auras flaring. He stood, a shield enveloping Mikhail. "I dare you to say that again he said, barely containing the chaos aura within him to keep from transforming.
"Get. Away. From. Mikhail." Richard replied, glaring heavily at Arthur. Mikhail also stood up and glared at Richard. "What do you even want from me? Money?"
Arthur growled, "I highly suggest backing off and letting us leave." he said, his tone dangerous. "I really don't wanna lose it on you."
Richard chuckled. "Lose what on me? Your fake bravery? Your fake confidence? Which one is it, boy?" He asked.
"Control over my own fury…." Said Arthur dangerously, power beginning to envelope him as his wings began to form.
Mikhail looked very confused as he instinctively backed away. "A-Arthur…?" He murmured quietly, not sure what to do. Richard laughed. "Haha, very funny, boy. Stop playing games and get to the real shit."
Arthur lost it, power flaring as the room around the man began to twist, Arthur's wings becoming clear. His wings were large and draconic, his scales glowing Silver and violet. Scales appeared in three lines on the left side of his face too, resembling the scars someone might have if a creature had clawed their face. More scales appeared all over his body, not all of them visible beneath his clothes.
Power flared about the man, seeming to turn gravity off and poisonous plants grew out of the floorboards and flaming ice spears grew from the walls.
Richard stood right where he was and looked at Arthur. "Fancy, indeed but that isn't enough to scare me off." Mikhail squeaked in surprise when the plants grew out of the floorboards and got into a tiny spot where there weren't any plants and flaming ice spears trying to kill him.
Arthur's shield spread around Mikhail, nothing went near him. Arthur glared at Richard. "Are you a complete idiot?" he growled "just touching one of those plants will make your flesh melt from your bones."
Richard looked a bit scared but covered it up with a grin. "You just want Mikhail, right? Fine, I'll let you take him with you." He suggested, holding his hands up. Mikhail immediately looked up, he had been watching the plant grow for some reason. "Don't kill Richard, please!"
Arthur didn't move, but the plants swayed away from Richard, eventually bursting into flames leaving a ring of fire around the man.
Richard quickly panicked, trying his best not to move or do anything. "Arthur!" Mikhail yelled, trying to get his attention.
"He's not going to get hurt." said Arthur, his voice too low for Richard to hear as the chaos disappeared. Arthur turned to Mikahil, pale and eyes full of pain. The scales jutting through his skin would leave no mark, but they still hurt.
Mikhail looked back, his blue eyes looking panicked as he kept looking at Arthur and Richard, going back and forth between the two. "Do you want me to help…?"
"We need to go…" said Arthur quietly, he could hear the screams in his ears. His screams. From years of torture. Arthur managed to hide his own emotions, and knelt next to Mikhail, hesitantly wrapping an arm around the other to help him up.
Mikhail quickly got up and looked at him worriedly. "Arthur, are you okay?"
"I'll be fine…" he said, starting to lead Mikhail out of the house, glaring at Richard as they left the room.
Mikhail still looked worried but let Arthur lead him out of the house.
Arthur led him further and further out into the woods, he was trying to hide tears of pain as he tried to force off a panick attack as they walked. Suddenly he fell, tripping on a tree root. His wings splayed out as he fell on an awkward angle.
Mikhail quickly bent down in front of Arthur, holding out of his hand. "You okay?"
Arthur recoiled into his wings, trembling. "No….." he said, barely audible.
"What's wrong?" Mikhail asked, putting a hand on his shoulder.
Arthur whimpered, trying to block out memories again. hands covering his ears as he lay trembling.
Mikhail quickly wrapped his arms around Arthur, pulling him in into a hug after he wiped off the blood on his lip.
