"Can I safely translate that, 'uh' into a later?"
(Lunch? Like for you, or in the rp?)
Nathaniel just slowly backed out of the room and quietly closed the door. He sat outside in the hallway, deciding he'd just wait there until he was called for whatever he was invited to.
(IN the rp) "N-no," Joan was a nervous wreak, having never had approached something like this before. Men hadn't been allowed near her sense she was thirteen.
Will raised an eyebrow and stood up, walking to the other side of the room and sat down cross-legged. "What kind of officials does your dad know?"
Nathaniel hummed to himself in the hallway whilst tapping his fingers. He wasn't humming any song in particular, just distracting himself. He hoped that this whole 'meeting with officials' thing came soon, he was pretty bored at this point.
"Um, the people in his inner ring. Some angels he's trying to make peace with. Every fallen ever-although not many will be there." Joan continued to run off a list of ten or so names and their species, language, and a bit more. "He is the king of a the most popular realm after all," She finished.
"I will be there." Will muttered. "Cool. That sounds fun."
Joan started to tuck her wings in closer to her, turning her head down and nodding. "I have to go help set the table. Help me?" She asked.
Nathaniel was dozing off again, having sat outside for a while. And by a while, that's about five to ten minutes. But it felt like ages to him.
"Yeah sure." Will stood back up and opened the door for Joan.
Joan walked out the door to find Nash, "Hey Nash!" She called, "Help me set the table for my dad?"
"Hmm..?" Nathaniel looked up from where he was sitting. "Oh, are we going somewhere now?" He stood up and made to follow Joan and Will.
"No," Joan waved her hand around, "Just down to the kitchen. I like making the food myself before hand and I can't set the table while I do that."
"Okay." Nathaniel pushed up his sleeves again and followed Joan down to the kitchen.
"The kitchen is a place.. So yes, Nash.. We are going somewhere now." Will laughed at his 'not funny' joke.
"Okay, so I need you to set the table." Joan handed Nash fifteen plates with silverware and napkins on top, "And you to get the wine out," She handed Will a list of the officials different wines and a map of their castle, "And I'll start cooking." And she did, expecting them to handle it on their own.
Nathaniel set out the plates and other utensils neatly, making sure they were all evenly spaced. He liked things to look orderly, it was relaxing. He was glad that he wasn't asked to retrieve wine, as he had little to no knowledge on it at all.
Joan cooked for the next two hours. Making everything between bread rolls to yam. She had blasting music and a distracted mind. She occasionally brought something out, but mostly stayed in her kitchen of solitude. (Will?)
Will wandered through the castle thinking about Joan. How she looked shy and unsure of herself when he was hitting on her. Maybe I'm doing it wrong.
"Is there anything else you need me to do, Joan?" Nathaniel had followed Joan into the kitchen, having already finished his assigned task.
"No," Joan was done just as the bell rung. She dashed to get it and found Sir Fedrick, the fallen. "Hello," She spoke curtly. "Third seat on the left of the yam." Before closing the door and looking for Will.
(GTG!)
(Will you be back?)
Nathaniel politely greeted the fallen, who seemed confused to see him but went to his seat anyways.
Joan walked over to Nash after not finding Will, "Can you go find will as I talk to the quest? Please?"
