Joan laughs, unguarded. "No, you definitely should not," She spoke with absolute clarity as she pressed buttons over the wine.

They grab all the different types of wine and walk back. "Thanks again. You're the best, half-breed that I've ever met." Will says.

"Hey! You found him!" Nathaniel said to Joan as she walked in with Will. "And you brought… this is wine, right?"

Joan went stiff at the half-breed comment. "Yes, it's wine," She murmured, setting it on a tray in silence. She proceeded to hand it to the guests. Slipping a happy mask easily. (Sorry I disappeared)

"Um, I… I don't have to drink it, do I?" Nathaniel was a bit nervous that it would be mandatory, or it would be polite, to drink the wine. But he'd really rather not if it wasn't necessary.

Joan walked to Nash and said, "Do you want juice instead?"

He nodded politely, relieved. "Yes, thank you."

Joan walked toward the kitchen as one of the Fallen reached to grab her. (And that is where we are going to leave it for now, that okay Nash?)

Will heard the clang of pot and pans in the kitchen. "Excuse me," he said nodding towards the guests at the table. He got up and walked calmly into the kitchen. He saw a Fallen holding Joan in a choke-hold.

Nathaniel could hear something going on in the kitchen and stood up quietly, going to investigate.

Joan was struggling to get away. Here her father could do nothing. She was breathing too shallow to scream and was too far away to be seen. The man started yanking her hair, ripping pieces out painfully.
