Nathaniel gasped and rushed towards the man, adrenaline pumping through his veins. He tried desperately to pull the man off of Joan, but he wasn't strong enough, even with adrenaline on his side.
Nathaniel gasped and rushed towards the man, adrenaline pumping through his veins. He tried desperately to pull the man off of Joan, but he wasn't strong enough, even with adrenaline on his side.
Joan tried to tell Nash to go get someone; to get away. But she couldn't. And blackness had started to creep into the sides of her vision, she was ten more minutes away from fainting.
"Stop! Let… her… go..!" Nathaniel kept pulling on the man until he let go and turned to Nathaniel instead. "Someone help!" He walked backwards, running into a wall and trapping himself.
Joan made a splint second decision to try and pull the man away. She started to yell, but the thick walls muffled it. Her black spots made walking difficult and even trying to fly over the fallen was hard. However, hitting him with a lamp knocked him over.
The man groaned from the floor and Nathaniel looked down at him, his eyes wide with fear. He scooted back into a corner, leaning on the walls and trying to get far away from the aggressive Fallen.
Joan grabbed Nash's hand and pulled out the door. Smashing into the main hall again, she composed herself. Walking to her dad, she whispered, "The fallen named Mr. Fedrick attempted to kill me," before turning to sit in her seat.
How was Joan so calm? Nathaniel was doing everything is his power not to panic, closing his eyes and forcing himself to take full breaths. He started fidgeting with his wings subconsciously, looking around anxiously to make sure the Fallen hadn't followed them out.
It happened again, Joan struck her father's mind with the words. Each more painful then the last. Joan had to call upon all of her will power to stand up and go look for Will-no longer wanting to be near so many untrustworthy men.
Nathaniel realized that he was fidgeting and quickly pulled his hands away, tapping his foot instead. I've almost died so many times… Is there something wrong with me? Why do people want me dead?
Joan didn't go to the kitchen, where she knew he would be. She went to her bedroom, and curled up into a ball in the closet. No tears came, but her heart and soul ached terribly.
"Joan?" Nathaniel saw her leaving. "J-Joan where are you going?" He stood up and followed her nervously, knocking on the door once he came to her room. "Joan? M-may I come in? It's Nathaniel."
Joan denied an answer. He can come in, he can stay out. I don't care. Was her last thought before she passed out from the days strain.
"Joan?! Are you okay? S-should I get your dad?" Nathaniel knocked again, getting worried when she didn't respond. "Joan?" He contemplated just going in, but that would be rude, wouldn't it? Well, Joan had said that he could do what he wanted while he was here… He cautiously opened the door, calling out Joan's name again.
(I'm back for my 1 post.)
Will barged in to see Joan unconscious on her bed, pieces of hair missing from her head. I hope you sleep well, He thought towards her.
(Only one?)
(Yeah…… Well this makes it two, but I won't be back… I don't think.)
"Joan!" Nathaniel wasn't sure whether she had fainted or whether she was just asleep, so he stood awkwardly, unsure what to do. He looked up at Will, hoping he had some idea.
(Okay)
Will gently placed his hand on Nash's shoulder. "It looks like she's hurt, but she'll be fine."
"A-are you sure? That man was mean… but, I got him away from her! I think…" Nathaniel seemed confused. "I mean, he went after me once I distracted him, so… yes? Or…? No?" The events were a bit muddled in his head.
Will let out a chuckle, "yeah. I'm sure she'll be fine, little dude."
Nathaniel nodded and followed Will back to the meeting room, casting a glance back at Joan before they left her room.
Joan slept through the whole dinner. It took twenty minutes of panicking before she remembered where she was. Once she did however, she searched for Will and Nash.
Lucifer was bored out of him mind during the dinner, wanting to be done. He was worried about Joan, and once it was done he ran into Will in the hallway. "Where's my daughter?" He growled out.
Nathaniel decided to answer nervously. "Er, she's in her room, sir. I-I think she's tired from the… encounter…" 'Encounter' obviously referring to them being attacked by the Fallen.
Joan was around the corner as she heard the conversation. "Where. Was. Will," Lucifer glared at Nash as he said it, thoroughly pissed.
