The woman glanced down at the gash on her lower leg. She had almost been caught by a soldier, but was lucky to get away with a minor injury. She set out a few different herbs into a small wooden bowl. After a few minutes, she ground it into a silver liquid. She poured the liquid into a tiny glass vial, setting it alongside three other vials, the same color liquid in them. She didn’t tend to test her own potions out, but she would have to this time. She took up one of the vials, drinking it quickly. “God, I need to work on the taste,” she said, grimacing.
There was a sharp pain in the gash on her leg and she bit back a whimper. Her hands covered the wound as the pain only increased. She thought she messed up. Maybe she used too much sage, or maybe not enough animal blood. But, the pain stoped suddenly. She hesitantly looked at her leg, and the gasp was gone, a faint scar the only evidence that it had actually happened. She gasped in delight, finally having mastered that spell. “Yes!” The woman exclaimed.
(How old is your character btw?) @urban
(just gonna hop in) A tall figure walked down a gravel pathway, trenchcoat pulled tight against the cold. He hated weather like this, but after being accidentally summoned he had killed the summoner and decided to take a stroll in this odd world
(How old is your character btw?) @urban
(She is 18.)
Lata heard a shout in the distance, and decided to head towards it. She had no idea who it could be, but she couldn't take any chances. She tried to be as quiet as she could without ruffling any of the leaves.
(Mine's 12 in this rp, just to clarify. She's very good at staying hidden, and usually her illusions are able to cover her tracks. Usually.)
The young woman made a small mark with a bit of ink on a page of the spell book. She tended to do that, as it made it easier to know which spells she accomplished. That spell had been one of the more difficult ones. She usually tested it on already injured men and women. She remembered an older man with terrible burns on his arms. She tried to heal him, but the potion ended up giving the poor man a heart attack instead.

(Alright, cool.)
Distantly, the figure heard shouting. Normally he wouldn't care for mortals, but he was curious to see what the commotion was. He made his way over to the noises, trying to keep hidden and out of sight
Lata came upon a large weeping willow. It was quite pretty actually. A girl sat at the base of it, looking a few years older than herself. She was actually quite pretty. Taking a few steps closer, she stepped on a small pile of fallen leaves, making a crunching noise. She quickly hid behind the tree before she could be seen. To cover up her misstep, she made a small squirrel with her illusions scamper over in the opposite direction she was hiding in.
The young woman moved from a crouch to a sit, flipping to a different page. Half of the spell books pages were white, meaning that they contained natural, good, spells. The other pages were black, meaning that they contained dark spells and hexes. She had never thought to even look at the black pages. Being gentle in nature, she wasn’t fond of the thought of hurting other people. She knew enough to protect herself, so why cast horrible spells and hexes on people? That wouldn’t
lead to good things, it would only get her executed like her mother.
Sam squinted. He must have heard wrong somehow. It was just one girl beneath a willow and another hiding behind it. He waved his hand, runes sparking to life along his arms. They burned orange before hiding him. Slowly he made his way over to the two
The younger woman glanced up. She could feel the presence of aura’s. There was one by a different tree, she guessed. But the other was much more difficult to place, and the crowded feel of it gave her a headache. She shut her spell book and stuffed it into her satchel, standing slowly. Her eyes glanced around her as she tried to decide what to do. The presences could be friendly, but they could also be hostile. She was torn on whether to run or confront the presences.
Lata had caught a peek at the black pages and it startled her. This girl had the ability to harm her if needs be. She began to try and sneak away when she bumped into something. When she turned around, she didn't see anything however.
"What the-" she whispered.
Sam took a step back after being run into. The spell flickered out of place before he could stop it. Damn his eyes, he should have paid more attention
"Uhhhh…" Lata was shocked. She wasn't expecting more than one person. If only she had denied that man who offered her help, she might have found a decent spot for the night rather than the chance of death she had now.
The woman spun quick, hearing the voice. She looked at the younger girl and the boy with surprise in her eyes. How did I not see them before? she thought. She thought that a bit of commotion would start. So she took a few steps away from the two, slinging her satchel over her shoulder. Her grip tightened on her spell book as she ran a few spells through her mind that could be helpful in a situation like this.
(Is there a basic character template to fill out? If so, please pull it up, thx!)
Sam's head whipped around. He may not be able to see the other person, but he could certainly hear them
(oh yeah templates would be useful)
(Yeah, I didn’t see a character template before…)
The woman slipped from the cover of the willow tree, her eyes still on the pair. How much had they seen? If they hadn’t seen anything, then she was fine, right?
Sam backed up from the person he had run into, runes that stretched all the way up his neck and one beneath his eye sparking to life. Gods, had he accidentally walked into an ambush?
(I would just use a link for the character you're using but I can make one
