Charlotte rolled her eyes. "I am leaving after this dance. I've better things to do than dance with you."

"Oh, like what?" He cocked an eyebrow. "Got a boyfriend I didn't know about?" He teased, smirking.

Charlotte rolled her eyes. "No, but you are completely insufferable."

"Love, I'm a king." He replied, as if that answered everything.

Charlotte narrowed her eyes and raised her eyebrows. "That - that makes no difference. Whatsoever. At all. Ever."

He winked. "Okay."

Charlotte rolled her eyes. "You are the single most obnoxious person in the world."

Smirking, he gave a mock bow. "Why thank you."

"It's not a compliment, idiot," Charlotte shook her head and looked down to hide a reluctant smile.

He smirked again. "What?" He said in mock surprise.

"Shut up," she muttered, keeping her gaze on the floor.

"Why?" He challenged.

"Because you're - you're being annoying," she managed. She had no idea why she was suddenly nervous, and it was, in fact, incredibly annoying.

He bent, mouth by her ear. "Annoying?" He murmured. "Or are you just embarrassed?"

"I'm not embarrassed," she muttered.

"Then why are you being so quiet?," He challenged.

"Because I'm exhausted from being around you for so long," Charlotte muttered.

He laughed, and spun her around. "Oh but sweetheart, you haven't even seen my bed yet!"

"Can you not shut up for two seconds?" Charlotte snapped.

He smirked. "Nope." He said sassily.

Charlotte scowled. "Whatever."

He laughed softly, looking down at her.

The music stopped and Charlotte immediately walked away, taking a small snack from one of the tables before sitting down. Christ, what was happening to her?

Quinn found a new dance partner, after casting one last glance after Charlotte.

Charlotte stared hard at the ground for several moments before snapping back to reality and realising she had crushed her cookie. Sighing, she stood up to throw it away and walked over near the ballroom doors, debating whether to leave.
