He cannot be Rush. We're enemies, but… Revil is my friend…
"So, how have you been lately?" Skylar asked, keeping the smile on her face.
He cannot be Rush. We're enemies, but… Revil is my friend…
"So, how have you been lately?" Skylar asked, keeping the smile on her face.
Revil smiled a bit. “I’m ah… fine. How are you?”
"I'm actually doing really well," Skylar said with a genuine smile. "How has work been?"
“That’s good. Work’s been… something.” He sighed.
Skylar hummed and nodded. "Well, I suppose that's one way to put it… Hey, I don't think I remember ever actually knowing what you do."
“I work at a school down the road,” Revil told her truthfully.
"Oh, really? What do you do?" Skylar asked, her smile turning genuine once more.
“I teach Chemistry.” He smiled back.
"That's really cool! I didn't know you liked Chemistry. What grade?" Skylar wondered.
Revil tilted his head. “I like doing seinors, but I’ll teach any.”
"Oh, I bet the senior girls are just all over you, huh?" Skylar giggled. She blushed deeply when she realized what she'd said, and her eyes widened slightly. "I mean, because you're young and stuff. Not that you aren't attractive. You totally are. I mean– Um… Uh…"
With each word she stumbled out, the redder her face grew.
Revil paused when she spoke, wishing she hadn’t said it at all. Yes, he did get questions, but he also got after school meetings that had… different intentions for him.
“N-no, I get it. It’s okay.” He smiled a bit.
“Sorry,” Skylar squeaked out. “I, um— In going to go get a glass of water. I’ll be right back.”
Revil nodded and smiled a bit. “You do that.”
Skylar hurried into the kitchen, where he wouldn’t be able to see her, and she filled a glass with water. With a sigh, she drank it in about three sips.
Why hadn’t he said anything about what she’d said? She’d literally just called him attractive to his face and he didn’t even react. Maybe he hadn’t realized what she’d meant? That would be good, right?
Revil rubbed his face and sighed softly. He really disliked being called handsome to his face. He got it so often that when it came from Sky, it had no effect.
Skylar shook herself out and drank another glass of water before she walked back to Revil. This time, she gave him a fully composed smile.
“So anyway, how long have you been teaching?” she asked, moving back to the subject.
Revil glanced up when she came back in and returned the smile with a slightly confused one.
“I’ve been teaching for ten years.”
“Wow, really? You must have gotten your degree pretty young, then,” Skylar mused.
Revil shrugged. He wasn’t up for telling her he was nearing his forties. He had entered college really young, though…
(He’s 24, though, I thought?)
(I just changed it. He’s 34.)
(…He’s 13 years older than Sky… wow…)
(Yep)
(Okay. Um… I don’t usually do that large of an age gap, but okay.)
“So… Um…” Skylar hummed and chewed on her lip awkwardly. What was she supposed to say?
(Do you want me to change it back? His age is a lot more convenient for his past so)
Revil cleared his throat softly. “So, when’s the locksmith supposed to come?”
(I mean, yes? But it’s fine.)
“Any minute now, I think,” Skylar said, glancing at the time.
(Wait ye or ne?)
Revil shifted his weight around. “Should we go wait?”
(Um… Er… It’s up to you…)
“Sure. That’s probably a good idea,” Skylar nodded.
(… it’s your RP)
Revil nodded too and opened the apartment door. He peered out before walking over to his apartment door.
