“Alrighty,” Addie said. “Do you want to unpack now, or…. You know what, procrastination is key. Unpacking is overrated.”
“Alrighty,” Addie said. “Do you want to unpack now, or…. You know what, procrastination is key. Unpacking is overrated.”
Archer laughed and tugged her closer. "Come on, let's get some rest."
“Works for me,” Addie smiled.
//time skip?
(Sure, to when?)
//the next morning? If that works? I can start if you want
(Sure! Go ahead!)
//alrighty here goes lol
Addie was still very much tired. She padded downstairs in her warm fuzzy socks, her mind on only one thing: food.
//is that ok
Archer already sat at the table, a cup of black coffe in his hands. He'd come down a while ago and made himself coffee, and there was still some in the pot.
"Bonjour, beautiful," he greeted Addie when he saw her.
“Good morning,” Addie said groggily. “How are you awake? Also, is there any more coffee?”
"I was awake a while ago, and yes, there is some left," Archer answered with a smile.
“Yay! Sustenance!” Addie said, walking over to the coffee machine, getting herself a mug, and pouring the rest of the coffee into said mug.
Archer chuckled and stood up. He made his way over to her and placed his chin on her shoulder.
"How'd you sleep?" he asked, his voice rumbling in his chest.
“Eh,” Addie shrugged, chugging half of the mug of coffee. “I’m still alive, so…”
"What does that mean? You didn't sleep well?" Archer asked, turning to look at her face.
“I slept fine,” Addie said with a wave of her hand. Except for the hand she waved with was the hand that was holding her mug, and the coffee went nyooommm.
“Okay…. I guess I’m more tired than I thought. Sorry… lemme get some paper towels…”
Archer snorted a laugh, then cleared his throat as if to hide it. "You do that. I'll help you clean up."
“Mhmm… they should be over here….” Addie wandered over to the kitchen counter, where there was, in fact, a roll of paper towels.
"If you hand me a few, I'll wipe up the floor over here," Archer said, sticking his hand out.
“‘Kay. Thanks,” Addie said, picking up the roll, tearing off a couple towels, and handing them to Archer.
Archer took the towels with a smile and knelt down to wipe up the spill. When he was done, he straightened back up and faced Addie, hand full of sopping paper towels. "So… Where is your trash can?"
“It’s…” Addie walked over to the cupboard under the sink and opened it. “Here.”
"Wonderful. Thank you," Archer said, tossing them in.
“No problemo,” Addie nodded, closing the cupboard. “We have real food, too, if you’re hungry…. though I’m kinda hesitant to touch it now…”
Archer chuckled at her a bit. "Sure. What do you have?"
“Um… probably toast… cereal… yogurt, if mum went to the store….” Addie said, thinking aloud. “Orange juice, if you want that, though I refuse to pour it….”
"I'll pour myself some orange juice and have a piece of toast. Do you have strawberry jelly?" Archer asked, smiling over at her.
“I think so… that’s mum’s favorite, so probably. It’ll be in the fridge,” Addie said, walking over to the fridge and getting the jam. She set it on the counter. “Are you so proud of me? I didn’t drop it!”
Archer laughed and pecked her on the lips. "Very proud. Good job, babe. Now, if you can grab the orange juice without dropping it, I'll be even more impressed."
“Is that a challenge, good sir?” Addie teased, taking the orange juice from the fridge and setting it on the counter alongside the jam. “Because if so, I just won.”
"Amazing. I am thoroughly impressed," Archer laughed, kissing her cheek.
