GLaDOS tilts her head at Osir. “I do have a name, you know. And it’s not ’sweetheart.’ Also, I’m not doing any acting.” That was partially a lie. She was technically programmed to act intimidating, but broke out of her programming occasionally. To be fair, she was trying to scare Osir away, but that obviously hadn’t worked. She sighs. “And how am I any better?” She was genuinely curious as to how this creature thought GLaDOS was better company than anyone else there.
"GLaDOS is too. . . clinical. You need an actual name. Until I can find one, you'll be 'sweetheart.' Got it, sweetheart?" Osir chuckles.
"And if you're not acting, care to explain why your eyes look so afraid as compared to your clearly forced air of noncaring and intimidation?" he adds.
"You're better than them because you're - from what I can tell - mostly honest. At least you don't dance around with words. Despite my love for politics and diplomacy, it gets very tiring to keep it up at all times. Someone like you who doesn't care what others think is quite refreshing," he shrugs.
GLaDOS crosses her arms and glares at Osir. “Is it really that hard to remember my name?” Her voice drips with sarcasm, and her pupils constrict seemingly on command. “Anyway, whether or not I’m acting isn’t very important. This entire conversation is pointless, really.” She pauses for a moment, tapping her foot slightly. “I am typically very blunt. But that’s mostly because I was programmed that way. If I had any care for what others thought, it would just be a hindrance.”
Osir smirks.
"No. It's just not a name, is it? It's a designation. It means you're property," he rebuttles.
"Pointless how? Because you deem it to be? Don't be so self-centered, sweetheart. It's bad for your health," Osir replies off-handedly.
"There you go again, mentioning 'code' and 'programing.' Doesn't it aggravate you, being given no choice in what you are? Doesn't it aggravate you, to be placed in such a tiny box that you can only think of the interests of those who made you? Do you ever wish to be different, to explore, to do what others can only dream of? To become something more than what you were before?" he hums.
Avirex blinked at GLaDOS as she left. They weren’t expecting that to happen.
They shrugged and laid down on the grass, using their cape as a makeshift blanket as they stared at the sky. They weren’t sure what to do now. They wished someone they were familiar with was here. But they also didn’t. That was confusing.
Lili glanced at Arezias. Better late than never to say something. Even if she didn’t want to.
“Maybe there’s some in a different part of this place…” Her voice came out a lot quieter than she wanted and trailed off at the end. She cringed at that. A great start to a conversation.
GLaDOS stares at Osir in silence for a few moments. “…That’s not my purpose. My purpose is to run tests on human subjects. That’s all. It’s fun to watch then reach their limits, anyway… whether it’s physical, mental, or emotional.” There was something nagging at the back of her mind, though… vague memories… of some sort of past life. She looks down and zones out for a bit, but as soon as they had come, the memories vanished. She makes a small huh? noise before remembering that Osir was there. She stares at him again. “Oh. You’re still here.”
(Turret voice are you still there?)
(drops the turret into the void :D)
(Turret screaming)
(What the hell-?)
(distant sound of bullets firing rapidly)
(sobbing)
(Meep)
(screams into the void)

"Is it? Or is it the purpose that was forced on you by others, locking away anything else you might ever have wanted to do before? What if your mind isn't even your own? What would you do then? If you were controlled, every waking moment, every breath, every beat of your fragile heart, by some unknown force beyong the scope of your view based off of the nature of your programming, what would you do? Is it truly your desire to make humans suffer, or is it the whim of some other being that has seized you for their own gain?" Osir retorts.
"Yes, I am sweetheart," he chuckles. "Get used to it."
(Existential crisis unlocked)
(Causing every being to have existential panic he comes across is his specialty.)
GLaDOS’ pupils dilate again as she listens to Osir. She thinks for a moment. “I’m done with this conversation,” she decides. Without waiting for another response, she harshly shoves past Osir and walks away, although visibly more tense now.
Osir shrugs.
"Suit yourself. But just think about it. After all, humans love forcing their wills on things they shouldn't. . ." he says quietly.
Arezias glances at Lili and then smiles brightly.
"I like you. You're coming with me to find food, 'kay?" they say cheerfully, oblivious to how awkward the girl obviously was.
(bitch-)
Lili's eyes widened at Arezias's statement. "Uh- can I say no?" Oh no. She should not have said anything.
She glanced at Daphne and then back at Arezias. Crap.
Daphne looks at Lili, then stands up and gently takes her hand, narrowing her eyes at Arezias. She squeezes Lili’s hand, trying to reassure her a bit.
(Whom?)
Arezias smiles at Lili and Daphne brightly.
"Great! We're all going to get food! I wonder if they'll have enough cake for all of us. . ." they say happily, taking Lili and Daphne's hands and spiriting them down the halls.
(I’m about to throw hands frfr)
(Man I think it’s just funny)
(They’ve been stolen)
Lili made a small sound of protest as Arezias took her hand. She was, frankly, too anxious to say no to the little gremlin. They were the one that started those explosions earlier.
She looked at Daphne, utterly confused and somewhat frightened by the situation at hand.
Daphne flinches and glares at Arezias. She glances at Lili for a moment, and she just looks pissed off about… well, almost everything, really. “What the fuck-?”
Arezias pulls a 180 and tilts their head at Lili and Daphne.
"What? Aren't you guys hungry?" they ask innocently. It was honestly a little difficult to see this innocent, smiling creature as the one who'd kicked a door off its hinges and nearly blown everyone up.
