Lili laughed nervously and glanced around the hall. They were close to the stairwell now, so it was a bit late to turn back.

“Uh- no- it’s okay,” she said quickly. Despite not knowing them, she didn’t want to disappoint them. Or make them sad. Or angry. Oh no, what if she did already?

Avirex suddenly sat up from the grass. They startled a bird that was pecking at the grass several feet away from them.

They tilted their head as they watched it fly away. They must be more like griffins here, they thought. Strange.

They walked back to the house and went inside, yet again not closing the door behind them. They glanced around, noting who was down there.

(Me who forgot if Osir and GLaDOS were there still or not-)

Arezias smiles brightly.

"Let's go then!" they say cheerfully.

Osir slumps back against the hallway wall, like a puppet with its strings cut.

He was very, very bored.

And tired.

And stressed.

And a lot of other things.

Really, above all else, Osir was feeling. . . conflicted.

He didn't even know GLaDOS. He'd just met her, as a matter of fact.

So why was he trying so hard to. . . to. . . try and make her think? Why did he feel so obliged to make her remember her own purpose? He was a demon, for fuck's sake. He took people's purposes daily, with little to no regard of how they might feel later. Just for the sake of amusement.

He really had no right to lecture anyone.

Yet, he was still trying with GLaDOS.

Daphne rolls her eyes. “Ugh- are you deaf?” She huffs at Arezias. “Just leave us alone-

GLaDOS ventures back up the stairs. She was curious to see if anything else had appeared since she and the others got here.

Arezias blinks, then sighs.

"I don't think I heard you say 'leave us alone' in the first place, sweetheart. Care to enlighten me when the fuck you said that?" they glare.

(debates whether or not to give GLaDOS a discovery)

Lili coughs and gives Daphne another look. She turns to Arezias. “I’m sorry. Let’s just all continue on until we get where you’re going-“

Avirex wandered around for a bit, looking at all the things in the building before settling in the sitting area. They sat cross-legged in the middle of a sofa with their cape draping over most of their body.

(👀☕️)

Daphne ignores Lili and crosses her arms. “Well, I’m telling you now. Leave us alone.” She really didn’t have the energy or the patience to deal with Arezias, and she made that very clear.

Arezias sighs.

"Fine. Fuck it, be rude, hit me, whatever. Couldn't care any fucking less honestly mate. I got enough of it when I was alive that it doesn't fuck with me now that I'm dead, least of all from some goddamn idiot lady like you who can't get her head far enough out of the trauma she's shoved up her ass to talk to others like they might be actual people," they growl. They let go of Lili and Dapne's hands abruptly, storming off, muttering.

Daphne stares at Arezias, her expression now a mix of hurt and guilt. She looks down and stares at the floor as he walks away. “…Sorry,“ She mumbles, although saying anything was pointless by now.
