"'Just trying. . .' what? To help the world?" Chrisy asks.
She looks over at Hex. "Sit down for a moment, kid."
"'Just trying. . .' what? To help the world?" Chrisy asks.
She looks over at Hex. "Sit down for a moment, kid."
He shrugs, looking at Hex and nodding as he takes his cup. He takes a sip and goes back to his phone.
What in the devil are they doing? They can't all know each other. Oliver sat in his seat, keenly studying the odd group of people.
She looks over at Hex. "Sit down for a moment, kid."
"Hm? Wait, me?" Hex asks, confused and surprised by the sudden remark. Also, wasn't she sitting by herself a moment ago?
"Yes, you." Chrisy grins. "Sit, sit."
Hex looks behind him towards the counter. Eh, no one was there at the moment, so… He sits down, having no idea what was happening, and going with the flow.
"I saw you appear outside the shop earlier." she says without preamble. "And I was just talking with this wonderful fellow about how I saw him do the same thing."
She pauses, then looks straight at Oliver. "You too, since you're keenly watching us. Come over here."
Zane tenses more, then stands and starts to walk away. not today. Absolutely not-
He sat up, startled. "Me??"
Hex nonchalantly responds, "Oh, yeah, I can teleport. Easier than walking! Didn't know anyone else that could do it though!" He grins innocently. He turns and waves hello to Oliver as Chrisy points him out.
Chrisy chuckles. "Yes, you. Who else has been intently staring at everyone since they walked in? Nobody."
"I think you can do a fair bit more than teleport, but that's besides the point." she snorts.
Zane walks away from the group, walking towards the door. hell no. He was not doing this today. He wasn’t in the mood.
Chrisy looks surprised.
"Where are you going?"
Oliver, deciding that he was apparently now talking to these people, stepped in front of Zane.
"Hello!! What's your name?" holds out right hand
Zane freezes, looking at him. “Zane.” He sighs and walks around him, walking to the glass doors of the cafe. nope. Not today. Absolutely not-
Oliver watched Zane rush past him and he frowned.
Chrisy sighs.
"Stop." she commands. Her voice was not kind, or happy. It was commanding, a voice calculated to literally force Zane to comply.
Zane pauses, looking at her. “What do you want?” He mutters.
"You will come back and sit down at this table until I am done talking." she says, her voice the exact same tone she'd used when she'd commanded him to stop.
He huffs, crossing his arms.
Chrisy does the exact eyebrow raise you'd expect from an annoyed mother.
"Zane." she says. "I won't ask you again."
He narrows his eyes at her, then turns and starts to walk away again.
Chrisy phases into existance in front of Zane, her wings extended to their full 14 foot length.
"I sai, sit back down." she growls, whipping the man back into his chair with a careless movement of her hand.
He yelps, staring at her in shock. “THE FUCK WAS THAT FOR?!”
"Look, I know your goal. I saw it in your eyes. You want to try and save the world, kid. Well, there's me, Oliver and Hex to help you out with that. But now that you have people to help, you're suddenly scared for your life and trying to run." she sighs, her wings furling back up again.
He huffs, rolling his eyes. “Can you just leave me be?” He snaps.
"No." she says shortly.
He growls, standing.
An invisible force pushes Zane back down again; Chrisy doesn't bat an eye.
"Look, kid. Either you let us - me - help, or you die alone trying to save everyone yourself."
He huffs, “I work alone.” He snaps.
