"Because you were snooping." she shrugs.
"Because you were snooping." she shrugs.
"That's all?"
"Pretty much." she shrugs.
He studies her, trying to read her, but got nothing.
"I see."
Chrisy grins.
"Can't get a read on me, can you?" she asks.
Hex watches this exchange with an awkward curiosity, and finally asks, "So, uh- sorry to interrupt,- what exactly is this all about? Or, I guess why did you ask me to be here. I heard something about saving the world, but I think I need a bit more context. I don't think I was following the exchange too well."
"Oh, not like it matters now. We'll have to wait until Zane gets back, and I'm not sure he ever will." she snorts. "Though, from how it looked, he was troubled as to how I could see so much and, he had already shown an interest in leaving."
Oliver was not exactly following what Chrisy was saying
"Wait.. what do you mean until Zane gets back? What's happening??" He pauses. "Wait, you said earlier I want to save the world?"
Hex suddenly remembers Oliver had been patiently sitting alone before… whatever this thing was. Hex turns to him and asks, "Hey, did you want to order a coffee?"
Chrisy sighs.
"Well, either you want to save the world, you're snoopy, or you're crazy."
Looks at Hex questionably, then suddenly remembers where he is. "Oh! No, thank you."
He turns to Chrisy.
"If we were to try to save the world, how would we?"
"Oh. Tear down America, for starters." she snorts. "Keep the good parts and burn the rest."
"How would we do that?"
"Simple. Kill the government." Chrisy says simply.
Hex holds up a finger, and warily says, "How exactly would that save the world? Like, what problems does the world need saving from that bad?"
(I love how Zane’s just at home and letting the three talk-)
(Lol is he coming back?)
"Hunger. Poverty. War." Chrisy replies. "Corrupt men and women."
Hex feels out of his depth, and sighs deeply. "Ok…. So you want our help to do that?"
(Eh no- not unless someone finds him roaming around- which he will the next day-)
"Huh. I guess I want change.. but how am I supposed to help? I'm just… I'm just a…."
looks down at his feet
Chrisy smiles.
"You underestimate the power people like us hold over the masses, kid."
He looked at her, doubtful.
Chrisy chuckles, summoning black fire and letting it rest just above her palm. "Sure, there's people like me - people who don't really belong in this world. But then there's people like you, born human and raised human, who still have powers."
He looked at the fire, which was blazing quietly above Chrisy's hand.
He chuckled softly.
"I don't have any powers." He lied, tearing his gaze from the fire and looking back at Chrisy.
"Sure you don't, kid." Chrisy smirks, seeing through the lie immediately.
