(Okay, so my reply apparently didn't go through- Anyways, let's fix that!)

Kaito smiled at the response. "Great! I'm glad that you slept well! Hopefully now you have some energy!"

“Yeah, I never noticed how tired I really was “

"Well, I could tell that you were tired, but it's alright! You're energized now!" Kaito grinned. "So, wanna get some breakfast?"

“Sure love,”

Kaito smiled as he got up. "Then let's go! We may as go to our favorite little restaurant one last time!"

Shuichi got up, wobbling a little bit. He didn't wanna tell kaito why he was really home. He was avoiding the idea that he was dying

(I- Well, back to our favorite thing: ruining Saimota's lives- We seriously cannot rp these two without them getting close to dying, huh?)

Kaito quickly noticed that Shuichi was a bit unsteady, despite his best attempts at hiding it, which concerned him. "Are you alright, shining star? You seem to be a bit unsteady this morning…"

“I'm fine love, just stood up too quick”

(laughs I am definitely adding stuff on Kaito's end, too. We're going for maximum drama here!)

"If you say so. You appear a bit pale this morning…" Kaito sighed softly. "I'm worried about you… Are you feeling alright…?"

“I'm alright I promi-” shuichi started coughing, the blood spattered around the floor

A complete panic filled Kaito's mind as he watched the blood hit the ground. He knew about his own health issues, but he wasn't expecting something similar to be happening with Shuichi. He had always been fine, and now he was suddenly dying? That couldn't have been very good. Kaito knew what to do from his experiences with his own issues, but that only added to the panic. He was aware that his boyfriend could easily die.

"Shuichi…!" he exclaimed as he rushed to his lover's side. "Look, you're not protesting this. I'm getting you to the hospital. This isn't okay!"

He picked Shuichi up without even giving him a moment to respond. His mind was quickly slipping into panic mode, so he had to get Shuichi to the hospital quickly. Things would only get worse if he did nothing about it, and he was already scared. How could both of them have life-threatening conditions? It was so sudden, not to mention concerning. Kaito couldn't help but worry that there wouldn't be much of a future for him and Shuichi. The thought that one of them could spontaneously die so soon scared him, and it showed. His expression showed nothing but panic as he ran out of the house, his boyfriend in his arms.

Shuichi had this condition since childhood, though he wasn't supposed to live past five.. So eighteen was pushing it

Kaito didn't say anything as he rushed Shuichi to the hospital. He was terrified, and it truly showed. He figured that there was a chance that Shuichi would die that day, and he even doubted that he had much longer left at times. In the months that Shuichi had been gone, his condition had gotten worse, but he kept it hidden. He had been having a good week without complications, so he was hoping that it would stay that way. He'd just have to hope that Shuichi would have days where he's okay, too.

Even after arriving at the hospital, aside from getting Shuichi checked in, Kaito said absolutely nothing. He just let a doctor take his lover back as he stood there. After a moment, he began to pace, his thoughts slowly consuming his mind. He had to text someone to express his fears, but he wasn't sure who. He just grabbed his phone and texted the first person who showed up.

Alright, I'll explain more later, but please meet me at the hospital. Shuichi's not doing well…

Rantaro got the text and his heart dropped, he knew shuichi didn't have much time left if he was in the hospital. “have they checked how far the cancer has spread?” he texted without a second thought of whether kaito knew or not

Looks like you've got some explaining to do once you get here… I mean, it makes sense that it would be cancer, but he never even told me…! Just…explain when you get here…! I can't handle this right now…!

His message conveyed his worried and frantic tone well. He was close to panicking the more that he thought about everything that could happen. Shuichi was dying, he was possibly dying, too, and it was all becoming too much. All he wanted to do was live a happy life with his boyfriend, free of the worries that came with his condition, but now there was even more to worry about.

Once Kaito saw Rantaro, he rushed over to him. "Okay, explain!" he requested. His tone was almost pleading. "Just tell me what's been going on with my lover! Why'd he hide this from me? He knew about my condition and lied about his? Why? I'd be able to handle it! Now he's dying and I feel like it's my fault because I didn't do anything sooner!"

“He didn't tell you because he was supposed to die at five. Not eighteen..” he said softly “shuichi has a rare blood cancer “

"I…?! I, um, just…" Kaito stammered. He didn't know how to process all of that. "You know what…?! I…I dunno… He's dying, I'm probably dying, and it's all fucking over I guess…! I thought we could have a happy life together, but nope, it's all fucking over…! Just let me see him…! If he's dying, I need to be with him…!"

“Kaito, make it happy while you are with him..” rantaro mumbled,

Shuichi was hooked up to a bunch of machines. A breathing tube down his throat

"I already planned on it! Just come with me! I figured that he'd want to see you one last time, too!" Kaito exclaimed as he rushed to Shuichi's room. His heart sank when he saw his boyfriend's condition, but he quickly went to the other's side and held his hand. "Hey, hey, I'm here now! You're gonna be alright somehow! I promise! I love you! I always will!"

Kaito held Shuichi's hand and gave him a reassuring smile. He had to make these moments happy, although he was finding it difficult. From the concern about his lover to his own issues, he wasn't sure how long he could remain happy. As he started to feel a bit of chest pain, he knew that his own condition was going to act up again, but he kept a smile through it all. Despite how he felt, he had to smile. He had to make his final moments with Shuichi happy ones. If one of them were to die that day, then things needed to end on a happy note. Kaito didn't care. Nothing would stop him from smiling.

Shuichi's heart monitor dropped, flatlining quickly

"Shu…!" Kaito exclaimed before sighing softly. Now wasn't the time to get upset. Maybe he could be saved? "Just…hang in there. You'll be alright, promise! I love you so much,shining star…"

Rantaro watched with caught breath before he rushed out to grab a nurse “help!”

Once it was clear what was going on, Kaito and Rantaro were taken out of the room. Shuichi was likely going to die, but there was still a small chance that he'd survive. Kaito held onto that possibility as he looked at Rantaro, waiting for an update.

"Maybe…maybe we'll die together…" he admitted. It was out of nowhere, but he was thinking that he may die that day.

“Kaito!”
Rantsro yelped “don't think like that!”

Kaito sighed softly. That was a strange comment coming from him, especially in that context. Rantaro knew that he had been fine for a while, so it was sudden for him to suggest that he would die that day. Adding in the possibility that Shuichi would die as well turned it into something almost completely out of character for him. He knew that, so he had to do something.

"Sorry, the stress got to me for a moment," he explained before giving Rantaro an optimistic grin. In a matter of seconds, his optimism returned. "He'll be alright! And sorry if you questioned what I said. I'm fine, too, don't worry!"
