He frowned a little. There was a bucket of water beside him, ready to throw if she needed it.

She cursed in frustration, instead focusing on extinguishing her hands and arms enterly. She waited a few moments, before trying again.

He kept watching, shifting on his feet.

She held the flame at her hands for a few moments, breaking into a grin when she realized it wasn't spreading.

He narrowed his eyes faintly as he watched.

She took a deep breath, bending down to light a dried leaf on fire.

He shifted, keeping a close eye on the flames.

The leaf caught, burning out a few moments later. She smiled softly as the remains smoldered.

He tipped his head, wondering if there was a way he could give her some advice without being rude.

She straightened up again, letting her hands go out.

Valentin clear his throat faintly.

She looked over at him. "Yes?"

"Nothing. Only, how are you controlling it?"

"I'm… not quite sure." She admitted. "I just tried focusing on just my hands, and it seems to be working."

"Mm." He glanced at Lord Kantner for a moment. "I have…done mine own research on this? And from what I have read, it may be easier to focus on the…the power itself, rather than where you are channeling it? I do not know, though." He frowned faintly, uncertain.

Alcesta nodded slightly, closing her eyes as she tried to focus more on the fire- the flickering and the warmth- feeling her hands catch again.

He was quiet, glancing again at Lord Kantner, who was frowning faintly as he studied the young guard.

Lord Kantner cleared his throat. "You may continue to practice out here. I am going back to the house. Cosmo will take you back when you're done for today." He said, and made his way back towards the coach.
