She rested her cheek against the glass, playing with her fingers.
He ran his hands through his hair, shaking his head a little.
She tapped out a rhythm on the window sill, humming along.
He sighed, closing his eyes.
Alcesta watched a few birds fly around outside, smiling.
He sat down on the bed, rubbing his forehead.
She yawned, closing her eyes for a few moments.
He didn't know what to do right now. Not when he didn't need to be watching her.
She blinked sleepily a few times, half-dozing.
He looked tired, quiet.
She eventually dozed off next to the window, breath fogging up the glass.
He got up, opening his door and slipping out of his room, then out of her rooms, out into the hallway.
Alcesta was fast asleep, soft snores escaping her.
He made his way through the halls, quiet.
She woke back up a little while later, blinking her way back to consciousness before getting up and stretching.
He was down in the servant's hall, getting a tray of food to bring up to her.
A bookshelf on the far wall caught her eye. Alcesta walked over, looking over the titles.
He took the tray up, humming quietly to himself.
She carefully pulled out a thin volume, opening the cover and delicately tracing her fingers over the title page.
He opened the door. "Are you dressed?" He called down their small corridor, not wanting to scandalize her.
Alcesta looked up, having been skimming a few pages. "Yes, I am!" She called back.
He came down the corridor, setting the tray down. "I've brought you a late dinner. Supper will be in a few hours."
"Thank you." She said, smiling softly. She closed the book, sliding it back on the shelf.
He nodded, stepping back so she could take the food if or when she wanted to.
She went to take a piece of food, picking up a second piece and offering it to him.
