A few hours later, Valentin stepped forward. "Alcesta, we should head back now. It is beginning to get late, and you are tired."
Alcesta put her hands back out, sighing. "I suppose you're right."
Valentin dipped his head, picking up the water bucket.
She held her hands in front of her, quickly straightening her skirt.
He studied her for a moment, cocking his head.
She smiled softly. "Shall we head in?"
"Yes. This way." he led her along the path, back towards the main house.
Alcesta trailed after him, humming quietly to herself.
He was quiet, carrying the water bucket.
She looked around, smiling a little.
"You have made some progress today." he commented after a moment.
"Thank you." She said, giving him a slight nod.
He nodded a little in return. "You're welcome."
She tucked a stray piece of hair behind her ear, smiling.
He sighed faintly, still heading back towards the main house.
Alcesta continued to trail after him, humming.
He glanced back at her for a moment, quiet.
She gave him a quick smile, before turning to look at a bird that few by.
He kept walking, biting his lip for a moment.
She watched the raven land on a tree, the bird letting out a short caw.
He glanced up at the sound, eyes landing on the crow. "So you have these abilities because you have a…god for a parent, ja?"
"That's what it's supposed to be, isn't it? It's not like I know who my parents are, so I can't exactly confirm." She admitted, biting her lip. "I suppose one of them must be."
He nodded slightly. "Right. You've no idea who your parent is? The godly one, I mean."
"No, I don't know." She said, looking down. Or the human one…
