“Is there somewhere you want me to put you so you won’t fall or get hurt?” He asked worriedly, his brow furrowing.
“Is there somewhere you want me to put you so you won’t fall or get hurt?” He asked worriedly, his brow furrowing.
I… It would be nice, but… I don't know if there is anywhere were you could. They definitely wouldn't want to bother Simon by asking to stay with him, and they couldn't really think of anywhere were Astral wouldn't do something that might hurt them.
“Well how about I just leave you in here for now, I don’t think Astral will be coming in here anymore today anyway. And he probably won’t break you on purpose unless I do something to upset him so you should be okay.” He offered.
I- yeah, that sounds reasonable. If the trinket coul have nodded, they would have.
Stay safe.
He nodded, smiling softly. “Thanks, I will, you stay safe too.” He said, gently setting them back down on the nightstand before going out into the kitchen.
Astral was humming as he cooked, looking up when Simon came in.
"Breakfast is almost ready!" he said, smiling.
“Okay!” He smiled at the other as he sat down at the counter. This was bad…he could almost feel himself getting used to this. He liked being around Astral.
Astral continued to hum as he finished up the french toast in the pan he was making. He slid it out of the pan, smiling. He had to admit, he enjoyed doing this to Simon- kind to him in the day, and his greatest torment at night. It was… new, and Astral enjoyed it. It reminded him of what happened with his boyfriend. He set the plates down, sitting.
"Enjoy!"
((Well now I wanna know that whole story))
He smiled softly. “Thank you.” He said, beginning to eat. The longer he stayed here, the less he wanted to go back. It was more than a little bit strange, and he hated himself for being this easily won over but…Astral made him feel like he wasn’t a burden. That wasn’t something a lot of people in his life did for him.
(Don't worry, he'll be showing up soon :)
Astral ate quietly for a moment, content for now. Eventually, though he looked up.
"When I came to wake you up," Astral said, "I saw your phone was going off. Is it alright if I ask who it is?"
((Well now I’m terrified :) ))
“Oh um yeah…” his face and mood instantly dropped. “Just the guy I was staying with before I came here…” he said quietly, not meeting Astral’s eyes.
Astral lightly set his fork down when he realized what was causing the drop in Simon's mood.
"I see," he said softly. On the outside, he was concerned- on the inside, he was enraged. No, no- he was the only one who got to hurt Simon. He'd torture and kill anyone who tried it. Astral slowly started getting an idea… but that was for tonight.
"I'm sorry for bringing it up, then."
He shook his head. “It’s okay. I am staying in your home so you have a right to know what’s going on.” He looked up at Astral, offering a weak smile. He had no idea what Astral had planned, but if he did…who knows if Simon would actually even try to stop him.
Astral let out a soft breath.
"So long as you're safe from him." He offered just a faint smile. He knew exactly what he wanted to do now, and he'd need Simon's help for it. It would also mean he'd need to know more about the relationship between the two, but for now Astral let it drop.
He nodded, glad that the subject was over with. But it still seemed to have put a significant damper on his mood. He tried not to let it phase him but didn’t really succeed.
Astral finished his food in silence, standing and going to wash it. He came back when he was done, putting one hand on Simon's shoulder.
"I truly am sorry for bringing it up," he said softly.
He shook his head. “No really, it’s fine. You don’t need to be sorry, you just wanted to know.” He said, looking up at the other.
Still, the god hugged Simon once.
"Still," he said softly, pulling away. "I should recognize when something would upset you. I don't like seeing you like this." He was supposed to feel like that after what Astral did, not because of memories of what someone else had.
He blushed softly, looking down at the counter. “That’s very thoughtful of you…thank you.” He didn’t understand how or why Astral was so kind to him. Especially when Astral hadn’t asked for anything yet in return.
Astral wasn't going to ask anything of Simon, not during the day- he wanted Simon to think he was just being kind, not toying with him. He had no idea what he and the trinket had talked about, after all. He didn't know Simon would theoretically be okay with whatever Astral put him through. He hugged Simon one more time.
"I'm going to be in my workroom," Astral said softly. "But if you need me for anything don't hesitate to come in." Today, he'd be perfectly fine with Simon coming in- there would only be a short moment when he wouldn't be there, when he was getting the other man…
Simon nodded, hesitating to let go of the other, but doing so nonetheless. He actually considered going into the workroom at some point that day, he was a little curious with what Astral did in there all day. “I’ll see you later.” He said, waving a bit at the other.
Astral patted Simon's shoulder as he pulled away.
"Later." He offered a small smile, waving back a bit before leaving. He had quite the thing to set up for the night, and this time it wouldn't be Simon getting hurt. Much.
Simon genuinely had no idea what was going to happen that night. He merely stood up, starting to wash off his plate after he’d completely finished eating. He figured he should probably shower at some point that day. It had been awhile, and with an actually flat chest, it would be less terrible than normal. He walked back into Astral’s bedroom, closing the door behind him.
The trinket spoke up once the door was finally closed.
Did he ask for anything yet? they asked, figuring the answer was no. Seeing how Simon wasn't screaming in pain at the moment in Astral's work area.
He shook his head. “Not yet.” He said, gently sitting down on the bed, putting his hands on his chest. The feeling of actually being flat was enough to make him feel at least a little bit better.
The trinket let out a soft breath.
This could be either really good… or really, really bad… Still, they didn't say anything more on it. Simon had already said he didn't want to know.
Did something happen? they asked instead.
“Well he asked about who was calling me so much but that was really it.” He said as nonchalantly as he could, looking over at the trinket.
The trinket was set by the phone on the table, looking down at it.
They have been calling quite a lot… They looked back up at Simon.
“Yeah and I’m still not going to answer. I’d just block him but I’m pretty sure he’d kill me for that.” He picked up his phone. 20 missed calls, 10 voicemails.
Well, it's not like you'll ever really have to see him again, the trinket pointed out. You're literally in a palace on the sun.
