"It was perfectly fine for you to get stressed in that moment. I was pushing you to make a decision you obviously didn't want to make today." Ash reached up, gently running his fingers through Laura's hair once.
"It was perfectly fine for you to get stressed in that moment. I was pushing you to make a decision you obviously didn't want to make today." Ash reached up, gently running his fingers through Laura's hair once.
She nodded a little, keeping curled up.
"Alright sir… if you're sure." Laura mumbled a little, feeling really tired all of a sudden. "Is… is there anything I need to do? I-I'm kind of tired, but- but I can help if you need me."
"There's nothing you need to do. Go ahead and get some sleep. Do you want me to stay with you?" Ash gently ran his fingers through Laura's hair again, holding her close as she curled up against his side.
Laura kept quiet for a minute, before letting out a soft sigh.
"K-kind of…" She mumbled, her voice barely audible. She felt bad about asking him to stay, but she hated the idea of him leaving her. Right now at least.
Ash listened closely, then nodded.
"Okay then. I won't leave, I promise." He shifted slightly. "Do you want to lay down? Or do you want to stay like this?" He reached up to gently cup Laura's head.
Laura had grown quiet once more, taking a moment to decide. Slowly she started to slide down so she was laying on her back, looking up at him.
"I-I'd prefer to lie down… but- um, you don't have to."
Ash gently slid down, joining Laura.
"It's okay…" He smiled gently, pulling the blanket up around Laura a bit.
As soon as the blanket was up, Laura curled up close to Mr. Ash, burying her face in his shoulder. She was honestly glad he didn't mind laying down.
"Thank you, sir…" She mumbled weakly, growing rather clingy.
"You're welcome," Ash said softly. He wrapped his arms around Laura again as they laid there, starting to hum softly. He didn't mind spending this time with Laura, or his much she wanted to be close to him. He understood it.
Laura focused on his humming, growing sleepier in his arms. It was really relaxing, and she was practically asleep in fifteen minutes. Though her closeness to him didn't seem to change, even in her sleep.
Ash stayed awake, humming softly still even as Laura fell asleep. He sighed gently.
(Timeskip?)
(Yeah :P)
Laura didn't sleep very long, stirring about an hour or so later. She was still curled up, not wanting to be awake yet. Though when she realized there was a figure next to her, she panicked a little.
Pulling back, she slowly remembered where she was. It was only Mr. Ash; with that in mind, she let out a weak sigh.
Ash had still been awake when Laura pulled away from him. He pulled his arms from her carefully when she did, letting her remember at her own pace.
"Are you okay?" He asked gently.
Laura nodded softly, beginning to curl back up.
"Yes sir… just- just forgot where I was…" She mumbled a little, looking up at him from her place. She just laid there, breathing softly as if not to disturb him.
Ash nodded. He slowly reached out, carefully resting his hand on her head.
"Okay then…" He sighed gently.
Laura looked up at him, studying his face in silence for a minute.
"How… um, how long have I been asleep, sir?" She asked softly. Her features were soft at the moment, seeming perfectly relaxed.
"Only an hour," Ash said. He gave her a gentle smile, still laying beside her.
"Are you feeling better?"
Laura nodded a little, yawning as she sat up.
"Yes sir," She hummed. "I- thank you for staying, sir."
"You're welcome." Ash sat up as well, folding his hands in his lap. "Anything to help you." He offered a smile.
Laura rubbed at her eyes some, looking over to him when he smiled. She gave a soft one in return.
"Mm… what now sir?" She asked softly, pulling her legs into a crossed position. She sat up straight, mimicking his position with her hands folded in her lap.
"Well," Ash said, thinking a moment, "it's about time to put your clothes in the dryer. Do you want to come with me?" He tilted his head a bit, tail flicking at his side between him and Laura.
Laura smiled softly, nodding her response. "Mm, yes sir. As long as that's alright." She hummed before sliding off the bed. It was pretty obvious she was in a much better mood than she had been earlier.
"It's definetly alright." Ash stood as well. He was glad she was doing better. He offered his hand to her, relaxed.
With the offered hand, she took it with a smile. She gently pulled him along, opening her door as she came up to it.
"After that, is there anything else you need help with?" Laura asked softly, stopping in the hallway.
"There shouldn't be. Though, I think lunch could be a good idea." Ash came with Laura to the hallway. Thankfully, there were only a couple other people out and about now.
Laura nodded a little, trying her best to stay relaxed. She wasn't near as stressed out about the people as she had been.
"Alright, sir. That sounds like a good plan." She nodded a little, giving him a soft smile. She had kept her voice softer, attempting not to draw attention to herself.
Ash smiled back, continuing down the hall with her. Thankfully, no one was paying attention to them.
"What sounds good for lunch?" He asked.
Laura looked up at him, thinking about it momentarily.
"Dunno… what can we do, sir?" She asked softly, gently swinging their hands back and forth.
"Well, I can cook almost anything, or we could go out to eat if you want." Ash brought Laura to the laundry room. Of course, they weren't so lucky this time. Someone was in there. A woman, it seemed, doing a load of laundry in another one of the washers.
Laura grew quiet, nodding a little when offered different suggestions. She flicked her gaze off the woman, back onto Mr. Ash.
"I-I don't really have an opinion…" She mumbled, sticking close to him.
