Ash brushed the hair out of Laura's face, running his fingers through her hair.
"You're welcome, Laura… And it's okay. You didn't do anything wrong…"
Ash brushed the hair out of Laura's face, running his fingers through her hair.
"You're welcome, Laura… And it's okay. You didn't do anything wrong…"
Laura leaned into the touch, seeming to relax a little. Slowly she let her thoughts sink in, realizing how silly she was being about this. He had already told her they had stuff around the house she could use. No one else was going to mind it.
"Maybe not… but I feel incredibly silly about it…"
"I see…" he offered Laura a kind look. "And that's okay too." He lightly patted Laura's back.
Laura gave a soft smile, before wrapping her arms around him once more.
"Thank you sir… for everything…" She mumbled once again.
"You're welcome…" Ash smiled gently, holding Laura close. He rested his head on hers.
Laura sighed weakly, starting to pull away after a couple minutes.
"I-I think I'm okay now…" She mumbled, flicking her gaze down to the floor.
Ash looked at Laura carefully, reaching up to her head again.
"Okay then…" He offered Laura a gentle smile, touch light.
"I-I promise not to melt down again, if… if we want to find something to hold my hair back…" Laura mumbled, knowing she sounded a little ridiculous. As she spoke, she leaned in to his gentle touch, smiling softly.
Ash ran his fingers through Laura's hair.
"It's okay, Laura. If you don't feel like you can handle it right now, it's okay."
Laura looked up at him, seeming to relax further as he played with her hair.
"I-I can handle it… I promise." She insisted, her voice soft as she whispered to him.
Ash nodded a bit. He stood, holding Laura close.
"If you feel like you can't, you can tell me at any time."
Laura nodded in return, arms wrapped around his neck once again.
"Yes sir." She hummed, curling up close to him. She did it, mostly because she liked being held by him.
Ash offered a gentle smile, holding Laura close. He picked up the dishes as well, planning on dropping them off on the way to get the headband.
Laura kept close, nosing against him.
"Thank you, sir…" She mumbled as she buried her face in his shoulder.
"You're welcome…" Ash smiled a bit. He held Laura close as made his way down the hall, and he set the dishes in the kitchen, which had calmed down considerably.
Laura only occasionally glanced up, trying to figure out where they were. She gave a weak smile to a couple people she recognized, before burying her face back into his shoulder.
“Where are we gonna a headband?” Laura asked softly, still curling up closer.
"Well, we're going to head to the living room. There's a storage closet in it, and it'll have some." Some people smiled back at Laura, but everyone have her and Ash their space.
Laura nodded a little, resting up against him. The smiles she received definitely put her at ease, feeling more relaxed at knowing nobody was going to force her to talk to them.
“Alright, sir.” She mumbled, nuzzling up against his shoulder.
Ash patted Laura's back gently, starting off to the living room. He hummed faintly, holding Laura close.
"Are there any colors you like?"
Laura lifted her head when talked to, pursing her lips in thought.
"Umm… I like red? But I'm fine with whatever." She offered, tucking her hair back out of her face.
"Oh, red will look really good on you," Ash commented, smiling gently. He came into the living room, were very few people were sitting. One of them was the lady from the laundry room, the owner.
Laura grew quiet at the sight of the other people, but kept herself from cowering away. She glanced over to Mr. Ash, giving a small smile at the compliment. But she gave no further comments, trying not to draw any more attention to herself.
A few people glanced at them, some offering smiles. Ash carried Laura to the closet, opening it up. It was a walk in, so Ash stepped in. He pulled it a book, revealing a ton of brand new hair accessories.
Laura offered a little smile to the few people, before focusing on Mr. Ash. She kept as close as she could, without curling up against him. When the accessories were shown, she blinked in a bit of surprise.
"Why is there so many?" She asked softly, looking over the different items.
"Well, it's easier than going out to buy some wherever someone needs new ones. You'd be surprised how many we go through." Ash chuckled softly. Ash moved through the items, pulling out a few red headbands.
Laura perked up a little, looking through the ones in his hands.
"That makes sense… there is a lot of people that live here." She hummed softly, reaching out for a simple, bright red one. She ran her thumb over the shiny material, looking it over in her hands.
Ash looked at the headband Laura had chosen.
"Do you want to try it on? I could get a mirror so you can see it."
"Umm… yes, please." Laura replied softly, feeling her cheeks grow pink. She continued to study the band, tracing the edge with her thumb.
"If it's not a big deal, I mean." She whispered as she carefully placed it on her head to hold her hair back.
Ash watched, smiling gently. He moved into the closet a bit more, pulling out a hand mirror and holding it for Laura to look.
"You look amazing!"
Laura's face grew redder as she flicked her gaze off the mirror.
"Mmm… I-I don't think amazing would be…" She trailed off, mumbling a little. But she had a small smile on her face, despite the flush.
