You are absolutely right I am so sorry, idk if you're talking about the undertones of your skin for hair color or anything, but here's a helpful video, (Also Brad Mondo is great for hair advice.)

@croccin-champagne

jhhjfgh i seriously think something near a faux-hawk but without the sharply shaved sides would suit you. allows for styling should you want, looks good without, and it still saves you from parents who don't like the 'edgy styles'

@strangebird actually got a cut similar, though the top and sides are very close in length, which is more what i'm trying to say lmao. maybe she can share her reference photos if she still has them?

I know the nail's conversation was a while ago but…
If you don't want your nails to break, just wear nail polish. The polish acts like armor on your nail, if you deal with lots of chemicals (Like if you are a swimmer) the chemicals will be attacking the nail polish not the nail. Now the trick here is you want to wear nail polish but not switch it out a bunch, pick a color and stick with it for as long as possible before switching it up.
Nail oil, I can not tell you how beneficial the stuff is. If your nails break a lot its probably because they are extra brittle. After you use nail polish remover, put some nail oil on. Nail oil makes the nail more flexible with out making them weak like water does and on that note..
Avoid doing things with your hands after taking a shower or having you nails in or around water if it's longer than a few minutes. Your nails are a lot more absorbent then you think. Your nails absorb the water and they become extra breakable.
Invest in a dolor store metal nail file, they aren't expensive like glass ones but they aren't the cardboard trash most people use.If you see the beginnings of a nail ripping, reshape the nail to accommodate for it.
Don't buff your nail, that's just stupid,. You're literally weakening the nail when you do that so don't. If you want to have a smooth nail finish just use a thicker base coat.
That's all I have.

You can also use clear nail polish if you're in a position where regular nail polish isn't something you can wear without ridicule, it's worked well for me and there's some fast-drying stuff out there that makes it just take 5 minutes and go! Or just if you don't want any flashy colors, or if you have a preference for clear nail polish.

Also, that shit works so well as a top coat and makes your fancy sparky nail polish last a million times longer, so that's awesome if you want that.

I sure can!

And if you want to avoid a bunch of tabs, here's the pics on their own:

I will note that getting the floof~ is difficult, especially if your hair is like mine and prefers one (lazier) style over another. Gonna need mousse and probably hairspray, ngl, and it falls flat in the heat after a bit. BUT! i'm not trying to discourage you from getting this cut, just throwing a disclaimer out there that it's not effortless. patience is needed for your new daily routine. I still "style" my hair every morning and all it is is flopping the longer strands over to the side. otherwise, my hair likes to curl in at the ends and get in my face.

@south-is-a-tad-bit-outraged

hey crocs do you have any tips that don’t involve hair spray to keep my flyaways from coming out when my hair is in a ponytail i play softball and the temperature has been in the upper nineties every day, which makes my hair frizz up

@croccin-champagne

ah, well, i have short hair, so i don't really have that problem yet, but good question! after some researching, i found some products that help keep flyaways down, and are good for frizzing

pomade and pomade sticks are good for if you're lazy or in a rush, particularly the latter

you can even use a clear mascara, apparently, for certain hair styes

hair finishing sticks help you smooth up along your neck, which is great for ponytails and up-dos.

also, if your hair is ever super frizzy or stat-icky, using some water can help a tremendous amount after your Physical Activities, least until you can use any sort of product

@croccin-champagne

short cuts!!! short bobs and cuts that allow it to fall around your head are adorable.

things like these!!!

Either one! I've actually been thinking about getting a shorter cut lately. Last summer I cut my hair, which had been down to my butt since kindergarten, to the length it is now, and it felt like reinventing myself. I could kind of use that feeling again, but if I regret it, it'll take a loooong time to grow back out. I also have to have a bun for dance, and I'm not sure if I could make one with that short of hair. then again they only require buns for competition if your hair is above the shoulders
also the third picture looks like my ballet teacher

Okay, tips on how to look more physically masculine? I'm desperate here.

@croccin-champagne

jupiter: if you only cut it to the longest option there, i think you can pull it into a bun! also, pony tails and messy braids would look nice!

friand: a while back i gave tips for clothing that would also make certain physical features more masculine, such as broader shoulders. but also you could try letting your eyebrows get bushier(also apply castor oil or vaseline to make em thicker), and maybe pack some light muscle if you can! not that muscle is inherently masculine, but it'll help give off that vibe if that's what you're hoping for. i'm not sure how you could exactly, but if you have a round face, finding a way to at least make it look less round is–according to the internet–good for that. also men's clothes might associate a slightly more masculine image with your appearance. that way when ever someone sees you, their brain goes 'masc-uh?' which is good i think?

@croccin-champagne

I've been seriously considering getting a shoulder-length haircut lately, now even more so. Thanks for the advice! and my hair is so frizzy that any braid is a messy braid on me

messy braids are cute if you do it right so dw about that lmao. and also if you do cut your hair pls let me know i love hearing about people's haircuts. and also i bet you'd look great, if your hair itself is any indicator

Hello there, I’m not an expert or anything since I’m still a noob at the whole looking masculine thing myself but-
It sounds contradictory but makeup. Get a contour that’s a bit darker than your skintone and there are ways you can accent your cheekbones, jawline, and nose to look more masculine. Around your eyes you’ll want to use a lighter shade.
I am 10/10 not explaining it well rn. Best thing to do is try to look up masculine cosplay tips

I just talked to my mom about it, and we kinda came up with a plan?? my school is only doing in-person for the first week, so sometime after then I'll probably get it cut. That way, if it looks horrible, I don't have to see people in person until at least two months later.
