Bright shirts make sense, but not really my style unfortunately. Most if my clothes are grey or dull in some way. I like the necklace idea, and I have a few shirts that are "different". I think they kinda help.

ice, your advice is just as important and useful!
wear belts, ones that cinch the waist, to kinda mimic more of an hourglass but not figure. fit and flare dresses and puffy sleeves are very good. necks: scooped, v-neck, and sweetheart are all going to be your friend when it comes to your chest area. also detailed collars! just to dip into pants and allow you some creativity and options you may have missed or not been aware of while shopping, flared legs are super good. also pleated
and if you're wearing dresses, again, anything cinched, belted, or fit and flare is going to help not make your chest look bigger, just even things out and whatnot. also, vests look good on your body type! enjoy that, my body type does not at all flatter vests lmao

ice's chunky necklace idea is very good with your preference of muted tones. it allows you to add accent colors, which really help complete an outfit!

Thanks! I only know that due to researching clothes for my body type lmao
Thanks guys! I don't own any vests, but I think they wouldn't look to bad lol.
So I'm a tall, pale gorl with red hair & absolutely no curves (other than some slightly thicc thighs), so I feel like I'm the textbook definition of "nothing looks good on me." I'm also really modest which makes the scenario even worse. Does anything know anything that would look good on me? I'm open to many styles.
oh girl, you have a whole world of clothes at your dispense. no curves mean bra-less is a look that you can pull off. you know those cute summer dresses that are sleeveless completely or that slight v-neck that wouldn't work with a bra? yeah, you can rock em. the less curves you have, especially in the rear area, the shorter dresses and skirts you can wear, without the 'oops i forgot those ride up on me'
also, definitely look at thrifting videos on youtube! a lot of the youtubers who do them have really aesthetic styles, and i'm sure a bunch of them would fit you! vintage blazers and slacks from thrift stores would be really cute, or things like power suits, though budgeting can be a slight issue with those. bralettes, both lacy and not, and sheer tops are going to likely look great on you too. and never fear shorts, because long legs are hot babe
I would say vintage too. Men's and women's vintage is usually really modest and looks good on taller people, imo.
Thank you Crocs!! I have a pretty vintage style, so I've actually been wanting to go thrifting for a while now. You actually got my style really right. Why does Notebook advice make me feel confident?? Anyway, I'll def be putting this advice into effect!
Hey, fashion corner, how do you find men/boy jeans that fit? I went to the store the other day and tried on several jeans but they were too long and didn't really fit right at my butt.

buy them big or get them used! if you buy big, then you can alter to make smaller in certain areas that need it, such as the waist once you know it fits your butt. it's a lot easier than making it bigger, that's for sure. also, cut them!

i'm glad that fits! i'd even recommend getting a thredup account, for thrift like shopping if thrift stores aren't open in your area! goodwill outlets are also one of my favorite places to shop, but bring gloves for digging through the bins!
i don't know why it makes you feel confident, but that's probably the best maybe indirect compliment i've ever gotten, and i'm super happy i can help boost that!
yeah crocs you're fucking awesome
I know, it's nowhere near spooky season yet, but it can be spooky if i want it to be and I like to think about this type of thing ahead of time (especially since last year i was literally working on my costume until i left)
any Halloween costume ideas that aren't either sexy or childish? also preferably something recognizable bc it gets frustrating having everyone ask what you are. (yes i still trick-or-treat, i know, i'm a baby)
I was thinking of doing, like, a Victorian witch?? I'd really like to do Scarlet Benoit but no one knows who that is other than the TLC fandom
a victorian witch sounds like a really cool idea!
try going to thrift stores, too, and finding pieces that strike up your imagination. if you find something like a hat, that makes you think of a decently well known character, or a skirt that's versatile enough to work for a bunch of different things, then it's really easy to build off of that one item.
anyone else have any actual ideas? i'm just telling people to thrift shop again lmao
do scarlet benoit she’s fucking awesome i would say do something that could pass as normal clothes in a stretch, but is still a cool costume. i’m taking care of one of my neighbor’s kids rn and i shouldn’t be on my phone, but i’ll come up with some ideas when i’m done
I have a red hoodie I wear specifically because Scarlet Benoit owns my soul
Jyn that's awesome if i decide to stay home and hand out candy i'm definitely gonna be Scarlet Benoit but if I actually go trick-or-treating i'll prob do victorian witch or something else
makeup tip time!
always blend your foundation
blend your eyeshadow too. some looks require it to stay just in the place it was applied, and that's fine, but for most looks blending is the key!
you can wear that shade of lipstick, with enough courage to pull it off. besides, bright colors love young faces, the way darker colors like more mature faces. my mom can attest lmao
know your eye shape! this will help with finding flattering eyeliner tricks, eyeshadow shapes, and allows you to find ways to make them look larger or smaller, rounder or anything else
glitter
makeup tutorials are your friend if you can follow them. and no, you dont always have to have exactly the products they do. make do with what you do have
wax your brows if you can or want to. its quicker than plucking, one quick moment of slight pain, and it lasts longer.
theres no such thing as too much highlighter, especially when you know how to apply it. light brushes, and hold them at the tip, not down the handle. highlight right above your lip and on your nose, and along the brow bone
usually a mild lipstick with dramatic eyeshadow is the recommended, along with the reverse. fuck that. if you want to wear it just wear it
Ooh nice! I don't wear makeup but I'll keep those in mind!
Any tips for dyed hair? I recently got a bob (is it a bob if there's no bangs? there's no bangs) and I'm looking into dying the tips, but I'm not sure what would work best.
well shit, I was just about to suggest dyeing the bangs lmao. honestly, doing the underside of your hair in one or multiple colors really is so cool. plus, with a shorter cut, you can easily pull the top layer up into a small updo to show off the color
doing the tips is also cool, especially if you find someone who can do a sort of gradient look with your natural hair!
I actually just got a long bob and dyed the ends at home. I ended up using manic panic 30 volume bleach, and manic panic color. It comes in a lot of pretty and vivid colors if that’s your cup of tea.
Do not use over 30 volume if you need to bleach. My hair is dark brown and with 30, it still lightened a lot quickly, and there’s no damage really- just make sure to take care by conditioning well or doing a hair mask in the time leading up, and doing the same once you’re able to wash it after dying.
And that’s all I can think of at the moment?
The dying part is pretty easy, you just follow the instructions on the packaging, wash with cold water when it’s done.
I've seen a lot of people dye the front strands of their hair and it looks really cute
(Totally following)

this is a lot what I meant lmao it's such a cool vibe, especially if you do light and have dark hair

always be careful bleaching. I literally once used bleach so strong(kept it on too long too) that it melted chunks of hair off of my head
crocs do you have any color suggestions for me? i want to put streaks in my hair, it’s kind of a darkish honey blond. do you know any colors that would look good combined with that?
really any colors. pinks, purples, reds, warmer colors might be just a bit better but i can also see a dark purple working. you're gonna have to bleach the strips tho, just a heads up, but if you've bleached before you'll know it's really not as scary as it seems lmao
alrighty thanks so much!!
I'm getting new glasses frames soon. I have a face shape that's somewhere between round and oval, leaning towards oval. What frame shape would be the most flattering, or at least not make me look like a potato?
(P.S. thank u for the random makeup tips =D
