"No of course not" she said looking at him with a soft smile
"No of course not" she said looking at him with a soft smile
“You’re sure? You seem quiet, and I’m just non-stop talking… which is quite frankly, weird for me.” Dylan insisted softly.
"I'm okay" she said reaching over to squeeze his hand
His cheeks flared red as soon as felt the gentle squeeze, forgetting that they had been holding hands. It had just felt natural to him. “I- o-okay… if you’re sure.” Dylan whispered, glancing back at her. Clearly something was up, he hadn’t flushed this badly in forever.
She looked at thier hands then back to him and started to let go of his hand
When he felt her hand loosen, his heart dropped a bit. ’It’s fine… no big deal… she just doesn’t want to hold hands.’ Dylan told himself, trying to clear the flush. “Yeah… so- Um yeah. Do you have any other plans?”
"Nope she said getting off the chair and sitting in front of his chair on the deck sitting her chin on the edge of the chair
The way she was sitting in front of him, set his face into an even more colored state. "I-that's… that's good." Dylan mumbled, glancing elsewhere.
"it's good I don't have plans" she giggl
"No- I mean, yes- I…" Dylan was a total mess, dropping his face in his hands. He couldn't help it- that feeling just rose in him, and he couldn't help himself but be flustered. "I don't know?"
She giggled "good to know"
'Don't you try to ignore it, this time Dylan.' He snapped at himself, trying to relax a little. 'You know you like her. Don't screw it up this time.' Taking in a deep breath, with his face's color relaxing, he looked down at her sheepishly. "S-sorry… I told you, I'm bad with people."
She shook her head " no well maybe but it's fine" she said
He nodded weakly, knowing he just needed to ask her. Tell her, more that was. But he'd feel awful if she didn't like him… and then put her on the spot. 'Stop hesitating!' He yelled at himself. "I- yeah… so anyways, got any plans this weekend?"
"Well I do have practice for my group and im visiting my dad on Sunday but I'm free" she said
"Nice… what day was your practice again?" He asked her softly, trying to rack his brain for the memory. But it was too fuzzy as of the moment.
"Friday but only during the day I have the evening free" she said
Nodding numbly, he hesitated just a bit. "I… you wouldn't- oh I don't know.. wanna hang out- Friday night? M-maybe we could go out to dinner, or get ice cream?"
She looked at him her smile widening "Hangout like a date or hangout" she asked
Dylan flushed once more, glancing away from her. "…date..?" He whispered, glancing down in a nervous way. God he hoped she wouldn't turn him down.
"I would love to go on a date with you Dylan" she said with a smile and a slight blush
When the words came out of her mouth, he let out a deep breath of relief as he leaned back into his seat. "Oh thank god… you have no idea." Dylan whispered, not even processing the fact he had just asked her out.
She giggled shaking her head "are you sure your not busy you just did ask me out on a date" she said
Lifting his head back up, he nodded. "Yeah, I don't have any interviews or anything. Which is good, in case people get pictures. I don't think us being in the news on our first date is a good idea."
She smiled "probably not" she said sitting back on her chair
