Killian laughed. "No, he'd fit in just fine with my group. Then again…you probably don't want him hanging out with people like me." He replied with a shrug, looking over at Jade with a grin.
Killian laughed. "No, he'd fit in just fine with my group. Then again…you probably don't want him hanging out with people like me." He replied with a shrug, looking over at Jade with a grin.
Jade raised a brow at him. ”You’re not that bad, besides he could use some male influence, that's why I introduced you two but you're right. We usually do hang out with different crowds.” she smirked.
Sparky nodded and seemed to relax, if a hologram could look tense in the first place.
"You don't want him to have my influence!" Killian replied, eyes going wide. "He'll start making inappropriate jokes and doing villainous things!" He grinned.
”That’s why he still has me.” Jade pointed out. ”I'm not about to put all the responsibility with you.” she assured with a chuckle.
”You both sound like a couple of parents talking about their child.” Sparky laughed at the obvious, to him, observation.
Killian laughed, then raised his eyebrows at Sparky's comment. "I am not…we're not…I don't have any kids!" Then he blinked. "Obviously. I meant…" he seemed very flustered, all of a sudden.
Jade coughed to hide an embarrassed laugh at Sparky’s comment.
”I’m aware of that fact.” Sparky said plainly, somewhat unaware of why Killian was reacting that way. ”Neither does she, unless you count myself. Though she doesn't have a boyfriend either.”
”Sparky! Just stop!” Jade managed to say, thoroughly embarrassed. ”This is why I was thinking about the filter.” she grumbled to Killian.
Killian smirked. "Oh? A woman as pretty as you, and no boyfriend?" he said in response, looking at her with a smirking smile. He winked, and stretched. "No filter, I like him this way. He's honest."
Jade shook her head, still blushing. ”The filter wouldn't change that fact. I don't think he can lie… Especially not this soon. He can omit facts but not directly lie.” she explained before sighing looking downcast. ”B-being a hero doesn't really allow for relationships. You can't tell them everything, you constantly sneak out so they think you're cheating on them, and on the off-chance you do tell them who you are… you increase their risk of being hurt because of you.”
Killian nodded. "Well, that's a bonus." at her words about a relationship, he shrugged a little. "Yeah…but you can still have one-night stands. Then no one cares if you leave in the middle of the night." he smirked.
She shook her head furiously, trying not to look too appalled by the idea. ”I'm not that kind of girl.”
”I believe she would fall under the category of demisexual with a preference for men.” Sparky stated as easily as if he had stated the weather.
Killian blinked. "Hm. Okay." He replied with a shrug, grinning. "And I'm Pan, with a preference for anybody and everybody." He smiled.
”No wonder you seem to like me so much.” Sparky chuckled teasingly, crossing his arms.
Jade groaned. ”Can we please change the topic?” she begged.
Killian laughed, then sighed. "Fine, Jade, if it makes you happy." he replied with a slight shrug.
She shook her head slightly. ”It’s just an awkward topic for me. That's all.” she explained with a small shrug.
Sparky was, of course, unfazed by the conversation. ”I have noticed that she seems to be happier when she's around you-”
”Sparky!” Jade quickly interrupted.
"Alright." Killian replied to her first statement, then raised his eyebrows. He smirked. "Well of course she is! I'm a walking ball of hotness, aren't I?" He teased, grinning.
Jade groaned, very tempted to put her helmet on to hide if she was blushing but she knew that would add even more fuel to their teasing. ”I’ll plead the fifth.” she said simply.
”That’s not a denial.” Sparky smirked.
Killian smirked. "I agree with Sparky. That's not a denial. Does that mean I ama walking ball of hotness?" he asked, grinning.
”No comment.” was Jade’s only response. He was attractive but she wasn't about to boost his ego and tell him that.
”You’d think that someone who gets letters from MENSA wouldn't have trouble with this stuff.” Sparky laughed, crossing his arms casually.
Killian laughed, then raised his eyebrows. "MENSA? Really?" he asked, looking at Jade. "Why am I surprised? I should have known." he chuckled.
Jade relaxed, glad to be away from the more awkward topic. ”It’s not that big of a deal. They're the only ones who believe that I faked my intelligence leveling out and that I did that because I'm embarrassed by it and just want to live a normal life.” she chuckled. ”I just have more important responsibilities. But they're stubborn.”
”Can you blame them, miss? You're a genius. I’m proof of that.” Sparky pointed out obviously before turning to Killian. ”Would you agree with that?”
Killian nodded. "Hm." He looked at Sparky. "Yeah, I agree with you on that." He looked at Jade again. "But seriously, that's cool."
She shrugged. ”It’s about as cool as if you were asked to go to Vegas and be the next Chris Angel or Penn and Teller.”
"I…don't know who those are, so I'll take your word for it." Killian replied with a laugh. He put his hands in his pockets and began to whistle.
Jade gave him a double-take. ”How do you not know them? They're really famous magicians. I’ll admit I'm not really a fan of Chris Angel but Penn and Teller are huge.”
He blinked. "Oh. Uhm…" he shrugged. "Okay? I'll look up some Youtube clips sometime."
