Jade flew over the site and descended into a quick but controlled spiral. It was much safer than a direct dive and she had practiced this maneuver several times. Admittedly, she was a little dizzy by the time she reached the ground but she hid it well.
Killian was driving up at the same time she reached the ground. He grinned. "Well. Should we call it a tie?" he asked, laughing softly.
Jade bit back a playful argument about technicalities on how she won. Instead, she nodded as she took off her helmet. ”Sure. A close tie.” she chuckled slightly breathless.
Killian grinned. "Alright." he replied. "So. What now?"
”Well, honestly, I tested out some of the modifications to the hoverboard on the way here but you can still ride it if you want.” she smiled. ”So we can test out either the new addition to Sparky or the upgrade to my suit if you're up to a light sparring match.” Jade raised a brow as she told him the options. ”Though I, most likely, won't use the suit upgrade against you in an actual fight.”
"I don't have a preference. I'm up for sparring, just…I'll have to be careful of the burn." Killian replied, getting off the bike and looking over at her. "But they all sound fun."
Jade nodded, acknowledging he was still injured. ”I will be. If you would like to rest a bit more first, we can test Sparky. I really think you'll like this.” she smiled mischievously.
"Alright." He grinned. "Ooh, what did you add?" he asked, looking at the bike, then back at her. His eyes were alight with mischief and curiosity.
Jade smirked proudly. ”You’ll get a better view over here.” she told him, gesturing next to her before turning to face the headlights of her bike. ”Sparky. Come and say hello.”
Killian nodded, and came over to stand beside her, looking at the bike with interest. He wondered what upgrades she had made, and looked forward to seeing them.
The headlights flickered in response to Jade’s command before casting a different light than usual. ”Hello, miss. What can I do for you?” The light in front of the bike projected a holographic form of a young man who looked similar to the hologram Jade had shown Killian the last time he had visited her Den, except Sparky had bright blue eyes and messy black hair.
”Just some casual conversation, Sparky.” Jade smiled, gauging Killian’s reaction. ”You remember Killian, don't you?”
Killian's eyes widened, and he grinned. "Ooh! You made him into a person. Sort of." he replied, chuckling. "Hey!" he greeted the bike.
”Yes, I remember him. Hello, Killian.” Sparky smiled and waved slightly.
”Hologram, technically.” Jade pointed out. ”Sparky always had some form of A.I. programming. I was just finally able to finish tuning his voice and appearance.” She was very proud of the overall finished result.
”And a bit of personality tweaking to make me able to interact with others more naturally.” Sparky smirked.
"Hm. Cool!" Killian replied, and grinned. "I like him even more now." he smirked right back at Sparky. "Though I do wonder if he has a sense of humor." he raised his eyebrows at the AI. "Do you? Have a sense of humor?"
Sparky chuckled. ”I can understand and simulate both humor and sarcasm. Though most of my humor is more dry wit than an actual ability to make a joke.” he explained, actually looking a bit sheepish.
”We’re still fine-tuning that aspect.” Jade confirmed. ”It's not easy to program something like that.”
"Ah." Killian nodded. "Perhaps you could give him the ability to self-learn humor? And then expose him to funny people? You could play videos of comedians or something."
Jade nodded. ”Well, he already is self-learning in a lot of areas. Though, I could check if that's one of them.” she conceded thoughtfully.
”I am connected to the web and have already found a lot of humorous content.” Sparky informed them. ”But perhaps interacting with people would be more beneficial.”
Killian nodded a little. "Alright." he replied, looking at both of them. "Makes sense." he chuckled softly, and ran a hand through his dark hair.
”So… What do you think?” Jade smiled with a raised eyebrow.
Sparky smirked analyzing the two of them. If anyone was to look at him closely they would notice a few small details about him that would give him away as not really human. His chest didn't move to show breath and while he could ”close” his ”eyes” he didn't blink.
"I think he's really cool." Killian replied with a grin. "Then again…I've always thought that about your bike." he chuckled softly.
”Flirt.” Sparky laughed lightly as he playfully punched Killian’s shoulder actually making physical contact with the motion.
Killian stumbled, and smirked. "Who, me?" he wrinkled his nose, and laughed. "Never." he said, teasingly. "Besides, so what if I am?"
Sparky rolled his eyes. ”Yes, you are. But maybe you should direct that habit more towards Jade instead of me. You have better chances.”
Jade blushed a bright red. ”Apparently, I need to install a speech filter on you.” she muttered giving the hologram a dark glare.
Killian laughed. "Oh don't worry, I know, Sparky." he replied, smirking. He looked at Jade. "No you don't. I like him just the way he is."
”Of course, you do…” Jade groaned. ”Fine, I won't do that.”
”Did I say something incorrect, miss?” Sparky asked with a raised brow but almost looking a little sad.
”No. You didn't, it's just… it's fine for now but we're going to go over some social cues later.” Jade sighed, rubbing her forehead. ”If you do interact with other people like that; it could be considered rude.”
