Killian grinned. "What am I riding?" He replied instead, looking at her. "The hoverboard or the bike?"
Killian grinned. "What am I riding?" He replied instead, looking at her. "The hoverboard or the bike?"
”Your choice.” she smirked back. ”Sparky has a GPS to the testing site but if you choose the board, you can see it from the air. Just try not to go higher than the buildings.”
"Hmm…" Killian trailed off, looking between the board and the bike. Sometimes he seemed more like an overgrown child than the adult mab he was, and this was one of those times.
Jade giggled softly as she waited for him to make up his mind. ”While you mull over your options, I'm going to put on my suit real quick.” she told him as she walked to the back area of her Den to change.
"Hmm alright." Killian replied. "I choose the bike!" He called after a minute, grinning. He walked over to the bike.
Jade laughed, not really surprised by his choice. ”That’s fine with me.” she smiled as she finished slipping into her costume and walked out. ”At least I know you can handle yourself on either one.”
Killian grinned, and climbed onto the bike. "Alright." he replied, looking at her. "I need those GPS coordinates, by the way."
Jade nodded as she walked over to the bike, adjusting the bracelet. ”Not a problem.” She quickly tapped a nearly invisible button near the gauges activating a small round GPS screen to appear. ”Sparky. Directions to testing site.”
Killian nodded. "Thanks." he said with a small smile. "Let's go, then." he revved up the bike.
Jade smirked and jumped on her board, activating it fluidly. ”We’ll take the ramp out. Try to keep up, Magic Man.” she winked before putting on her helmet, letting the board rise. ”You ready?”
"Alright, brainiac." Killian teased. "And yeah, of course." he grinned at her, the bike ready to go.
Jade smiled and quickly urged the board into motion. She knew the route by heart so was fairly confident she would win their little race.
Killian started up the bike, and zipped away. He knew the way vaguely, and used the GPS on the bike as well. He knew he was breaking the speed limit, which was why he stuck to back streets, taking shortcuts that weren't quite exactly legal.
Everything that Jade made she had put a tracker in, so she was able to follow Killian’s progress through the city. She rolled her eyes at his speeding but she knew her bike could handle it and he wasn't even going as fast as the bike could go. As long as he didn't get caught for it, she didn't mind.
Killian kept going, making sure he stuck to lanes and alleys where the police either wouldn't or couldn't monitor him. Sure, he could have just cloaked the bike so they couldn't see it, but he didn't feel like doing that.
Just for fun, Jade dove down to street level and buzzed past Killian. ”Almost there.” she told him before gaining altitude, adding an extra burst of speed from her board.
"Hey!" Killian exclaimed. He sped up again, and kept going.
(I don't feel good today. I've had a migraine all day, and I feel dizzy when I stand up.)
(ooh that sucks, I'm sorry. I have really bad cramps that made me cry in the shower)
(Ouch! I’m sorry to hear that you guys. Hope you both feel better soon.)
(yeah…I hope we both feel better soon too lol)
"Hey!" Killian exclaimed. He sped up again, and kept going.
Jade smirked at his reaction. Despite not being able to fly under her own power, she had always wanted to do something like that. Admittedly that's part of the reason why she built her hoverboard. Not for the prank really but more so that she wouldn't get left out of any air-based fights. They were very close to the end of their race now, she could see the construction site just ahead.
Killian sped up again, the bike roaring beneath him. He took a deep breath. He honestly didn't mind if Jade won, though he wanted to win too.
Jade was naturally competitive so of course, she wanted to win but after spending so much time with Killian she really wouldn't mind too much if he won either. Which surprised her slightly. That was actually a big deal to her; letting someone else win… not that she was letting him win by any means.
Killian kept going as fast as he dared to push the bike. He knew it could go pretty fast, but he didn't quite trust his ability to keep it under control if he pushed the speed too hard, which was something he definitely didn't want to do.
