@MarDeColores this is not it kids
Thorne accepted the champagne and drained the entire glass in one gulp. "Oh, hey." They smiled at Obihl. "Nice bow tie."
Thorne accepted the champagne and drained the entire glass in one gulp. "Oh, hey." They smiled at Obihl. "Nice bow tie."
Crystal was leaning just a little more on Thorne, them already having charmed their way into Crystal's mind at least. Still, the turns could table. (I also looked over Thorne's character sheet as well. I like em)
(Oh, thanks!)
Thorne set their glass down and looked at Crystal. "So, these vines… what exactly are they? How do they work?" They'd seen something similar once before, but they only knew of one person who'd been able to do it.
((Just to clarify, Obhil reflects light, so they don’t give off any light whatsoever. They wouldnt be a figure of light.))
Obhil entered the gazebo, ducking down slightly. They sat down; or did some form of it. It was rather hard to do so when you had no legs. Visible ones, at least. They also had no arms..so accepting anything was tricky..though that was not the case as Obhil revealed an arm that was hidden against their shadowy body. They moved to take a drink, but at first their hand just grazed through the drink.
“Whoops,” they whispered before going in again, this time grabbing it and sipping it. Upon hearing Thorne, they turned with a small grin, flashing their sharp teeth in a friendly way. “Why thank you.”
"Oh ah well…that's a tricky explanation. They are bound to me, sort of like personal servants in a way. They are made to simply serve and help, though on big tasks they help with I make sure to treat them well. My grandmother taught me how." She nods, and pets the little vine. "Isn't that right ViVi? Such a sweet thing. Go and rest for the night, Thomas's shift starts soon." The one with the purple bow tie darts off. "I switch out the vines as to not stretch out their magical energy to much. They must rest." Suddenly there was a rustling and a flash of orange. "Hm?" She got up and headed outside. "FARRA! KIA KIA!" And then a fox tackled her and she hugged it, not caring one bit about her dress.
"Huh. I've never heard of that," Thorne said. They watched as Crystal walked outside, then got up and walked to the edge of the gazebo. They gazed at Crystal and the fox, their eyes curious. "Who's that?"
"Farra! What a little dixie devil, yes indeed! Farra. SIT!" The fox sits down and looks up at us with wide curious eyes, tilting her head. "She's my Secret." She turns around and winks, and slips back in, the fox following and sitting below her feet. "Hm. I don't think we can fit much more in here."
"Your 'Secret'. Forgive me for asking so many questions, but what's that?" Thorne asked, turning towards Crystal and leaning against the wall. They felt quite out of their depth- all the magic they knew didn't seem to be here at all.
"I'm not allowed too have any pets, especially not a fox. So she's my Secret." She nods with a wink.
"…Right." Thorne looked up at the roof, the beads braided into their hair clinking slightly. "This place is quite different from my village. So much complicated magic… I can't even begin to understand it all." They looked back at the princess. "Sorry for the…" They trailed off, waving their hand vaguely. "Nevermind."
Danny politely refused the champagne and muttered something along the lines of, "Both Mom and God would kill me if I had any sort of alcohol," and listened as everyone shared their backgrounds and gave Raz a strange look when he mentioned other Grims. He must just be an Earth thing.
When the fox comes in, his eyes lighten and he tries to check the foxes tail without acting suspicious. Only one tail, how disappointing.
"Have you ever heard of the Jiuweihu?" He asks, still checking out the fox.
Crystal drank the champagne, and suddenly a second tail flashed out as she curled up and whacked Crystal's legs. She loved on the fox, happy to have all the attention averted off of her.
(Wait what? So the fox has two tails? I is confuzzled.)
(yeah. Sorry. Detail I forgot)
(Ok lol.)
(Anyways who shall reply? Someone should interact with Crystal before I'm forced to figure out something else on the spot)
Raz looked back at the person who just waltzed in. "Hello," She said turning around. "Who might you be?" She asked, tilting her head slightly.
Crystal shied away, just letting them be, and sent the fox off back into the forest to let it go rest, and a new vine slithered in with a black and white striped bow tie. "Hmm, your Zachary not Thomas. Oh well. Would anyone like anything?"
"No thanks," Danny says a little disappointedly, sad he didn't get to pet the two-tailed fox.
"But I did really like your fox. Is she a Jiuweihu or just a fox that somehow has two tails?"
(Sorry! I was going to reply sooner about the two tails thing but then we realized my dog ran off and we had to go find her. She's safe, happy, and a little guilty looking at home now though. XP)
"A Jiuweihu." She says with a nod.
Danny gasps and makes the face a kid would make when they a cute puppy or kitten for the first time.
"Woah. Those are like, my favorite mythical creature, and you have one as a pet!? Where have you been all my life?" He says with a laugh.
"Tucked away into the corners. But tonight, I am to be engaged." She said with a sad sigh, and curled up. "Farra will come back. She's always on the by and by."
"Really? I didn't know that was what this party was about. I was… sent here you could say." Danny explains.
"I have a dog, Keiran, and he's great. He plays catch, tag, and a bunch of other things. He a really well trained German Shephard. Though, he's really only a German Shephard." He says, laying back. He checks his wristwatch and adjusts his suit.
"Do you have any more champagne?" Thorne asked, staring at Danny. "If you don't, that's fine," they continued, shifting their gaze to Crystal, "or if you have anything else to drink, that'd be fine as well."
"I do…more champagne please." It slithers off and her eyes wander back to the outside world, growing tired of the conversation.
"Bored, Crystal?" Thorne asked, eyes glittering. "If you want to…" they shrugged, the corner of their mouth lifting slightly, "we could go for a walk in the woods, or something."
"I shouldn't stray to far from the party…" She said, glancing between the castle and the forest, torn between responsibility and passion. "How about the gardens instead? It's a lot more dangerous in the woods at night anyways." She says with a nod.
"The gardens work." Thorne walked over to Crystal and held their hand out to her. "My lady," They said with a smile.
She blushed and took your hand with a smile. She knew that the competition for her was rising as she walked off with you, the fox suddenly bolting out of nowhere, holding something in it's mouth. "Oh yes the collar I had made, also secretly." She put on the diamond encrusted collar and it walked beside us two as fireflies buzzed and people made marry, having moved outside as the ballroom became more and more packed. "Now then Thorne, why have you pulled me away from the others hm?" (Brb for about a half hour)
