@MarDeColores this is not it kids
"Mmm." Thorne nods. " I can't agree with the 'heels are uncomfortable' thing, because I love heels. They make me so much taller… " They sigh. "Anyway. Is there any way you could go outside for just a bit?"
"Mmm." Thorne nods. " I can't agree with the 'heels are uncomfortable' thing, because I love heels. They make me so much taller… " They sigh. "Anyway. Is there any way you could go outside for just a bit?"
"We'd have to slip out, quick as a wink, and be back before anyone notices." She nods towards a pair of doors that lead out to the back court yard. There were a few couples outside, using the cover of night and trees to get away with acts of the night. "Why,pray tell, do you wish to go outside?" She asked Thorne, already favoring him just a little bit more, but Raz…there was something about them that just magnetized her curiosity, though she couldn't quite place it. She walked off, wondering how to spice things up a bit, slip it in this time. Get the snowball rolling, see if she can create an avalanche.
"Well, it's hot in here," Thorne said, laughing. "And you seemed like you could use a break. A breath of fresh air to clear your head. Make everything tolerable." They shrugged.
"I can tolerate much worse Thorne. I AM a princess." She retorted with a smirk. "As you saw earlier, am a lady who can handle herself and is not afraid of making a scene. Watch me get in the paper tomorrow, either for engagement, harassment or both. I am here to be married, and so I shall serve such as a task only so then I can retreat to bed, with or without my lover in arms, and live happy ever after. Or, that's how the story books say it goes. And while I know the truth, one must hope that true loves kiss really can save anything from time to time, yes?"
"I guess so." Thorne shrugged. "But you shouldn't need to be able to tolerate much worse." They walk towards the doors to the garden. "Does your mother expect you to walk out of this evening with a partner?"
The boy, Danny, couldn't find an empty room inside, so he had the bright idea to change outside. As he steps out inconspicuously, he spots the posse and immediately turns invisible. He makes his way around the castle until he finds a truely empty spot and smoke surrounds him as he turns visible again. It cloaks him completely, then dissipates to reveal him wearing a stunning suit and a vintage wristwatch. He wanders back to the entrance and finds the group of people still outside, and decides to have a little fun. Especially since one is the princess.
He approaches the group very nonchalantly.
"Greetings, good people." He says very dramatically, followed by an elegant bow and a goofy grin.
"Well yes of course she does! The wedding is planned next week. All this month has been suitors travelling the globe to see me, with gifts and rings. But not a single one has caught my fancy, so my mother threw a Pre-Wedding Ball in the hopes that I find someone myself." She sighed. "I feel like true love would take more time than a week to form though. But alas, I have a right to be picky. I turn 18 in a month. And mother wishes to wrap up the peace treaty in a nice little bow and have a nice new young face on the throne for them to come home too. Whether it be male, female, or in-between. As long as I have a son, then things will end well." She then noticed the handsome gentleman before her, and she slips her arms out of her companions, and curtsies. "And good evening to yourself sir." She said, before putting her arms back where they were, holding them just a little closer so their legs brushed her skirts, showing that she was not yet willing to leave either of their side.
"Oh, stars. One week to find true love?" Thorne shook their head. "That's not nearly enough time." They notice the new being. "Hello. Have you just arrived? I haven't seen you around." Thorne inspected the gentleman, noticing his fine clothes.
She looks at Thorne and sighs. "It can be any love, but I am a picky princess who wants true love. Someone to work with not against in ruling. But such a list for true love is miles long, and so I'll have to settle for second, or 5th best. Or even twentieth best when it comes right down to it." She sighed, and slipped her arms out from between the two. "I apologize but my arms were beginning to get sore." She gracefully folded her hands in front of her and eyed the newest person before her. "And who pray tell are you hm?"
"My name is Daniel Black, but you may call me Danny." He pauses. "Why, what is the princess doing at here with two men all alone? That sounds scandalous, doesn't it?" He chuckles. His tone is not threatening nor mysterious, as to not scare the three. "I'm just kidding. In fact, do you mind if I join you? Royal Balls aren't quite my cup of tea." He continues to smile goofily and runs his hand through his pitch-black, curly hair. It was quite the hair-do. The sides of his head were buzzed but the top of his head has a well-groomed curly top of hair.
"Hmm. Just because one is invited does not mean you must accept it. But then again. Everyone wants to marry the princess. So yes, you may join us." She then walks right up to him. "And who knows." She said with a heavy tone. "Maybe I myself AM scandelous, good sir." And with that she walks off to a little gazebo, way off in the woods. Soon she's running, and tucks herself into a corner. There is fireflies flying about and a pesky cricket that had gotten inside is chirping away as she watches the tree's around her shake like maraca's. She belonged out here in the world. Surrounded by good friends and nature. Roses grew around the gazebo, filling the air with a gorgeous scent.
He watches her run away and looks very confused.
"Did I do something wrong? Maybe I hit a soft spot…" He says mostly to himself but also turns to the other two for possibly an answer.
"Hello, and who might you two be?" He says, offering a hand at two them both.
(No Jay follow her. She wants you to join her, away from other people because Crystal doesn't like crowds very much.)
(Ok then, off we go.)
"Are you okay, Crystal?" Thorne asked, taking a few steps towards the princess. "Do you… nevermind." They turned to Danny. "Just, by the way, I'm not a man. I'm Thorne." They smiled, grabbing Danny's hand and kissing it instead of shaking it. "Nice to meet you." They drop his hand and hurry towards Crystal.
Crystal laughed as she watched Thorne. "That, my good fellow, was quite a trick." She said, and looked back towards the others. "Where is Raz? Also. I'm not quite sure I like that Daniel. He rubs me the wrong way…something about him is…off. Very off. But I guess, I could be wrong. We'll see." She sighs as a vine comes out of nowhere and hands her a cup of tea. "Oh yes, my daily cup of tea before bed time. Thank you Lillian. Go get some treats and champagne for the the 4 of us." She pats the vine as it slithers off and away.
Then Danny awkwardly puts his hand down before any of them could answer and just kind of… waves a good-bye.
"I'm just going to go see what she's doing," Danny says quickly and then disappears in a cloud of the same black smoke Crystal saw earlier.
The smoke also billows and collects near Crystal in the gazebo. When it dissipates again, Danny steps out and approaches, a little more timidly than before.
"So… How are you doing?" He chuckles again.
Raz looked over the stranger named Danny. She swore she recognized him from somewhere but ignored it. "Raz," She said, holding out a robe covered hand. You couldn't see any of her body except for the section of her face that showed her nose and mouth. "And I think you may be mistaken. None of us are male. And I am here, Crystal." She said, saying her name for the first time tonight.
(Oof, this chat is going a bit quickly. Sorry if some of my stuff doesn't make sense, I'm just slow at typing.)
She looked back at Raz to see her headed towards the Gazebo. "There we go, all safe and sound." She coughed at the smoke. "I am fine I suppose, and how about yourself?" She inquired, making sure that she was sandwiched between Raz and Thorne.
(Agreed Jay)
(I know. I struggle to keep up as well sometimes.)
(Okay whose reply is it…Thornes? Maybe? Raz? Death? ((I had to look over danny's character sheet, he was to good. It's why she senses something is Off.)) )
"Thank you, Raz," Thorne said, smiling at her. "And Danny, I have to ask… how did you do that 'disappearing in the black smoke and reappearing here' thing?"
"Oh, my bad. I'm doing quite alright. And, I guess you can say I have quite the ancestry." He takes a look around the gazebo. "This is quite beautiful. You must spend time here a lot." He looks a bit strangely at the moving vine but shrugs it off. The kind of magic in the vines is different then what he has seen if it is magic, but he's seen stranger.
