"They're so soft and sweet." She kisses it once more, and wraps her arms around you, pulling you close. "And your welcome dear."
"They're so soft and sweet." She kisses it once more, and wraps her arms around you, pulling you close. "And your welcome dear."
"Mmm." Thorne smiled softly. "Hey, since we're out here, do you want to give me a tour of your forest? Show me all the things you love about it?"
She bolted up with a big grin. "Oh darling…sorry uh yes I would love too. PEARL!!" There was a loud roar and the hippogriff began to awaken. "But first. We should get this poor beast home." It got up, and wobbled on it's legs, rocking back and fourth as Crystal walked over. "Woah there beautiful handsome thing. Calm there, gorgeous beast." It's eyes focused on me as it huffed, and gave a cry, trying to gain it's balance, wings flapping wildely.
"Oh, yes, I agree." Thorne nodded. "Where does a hippogriff live, anyways? I'm not that familiar with the beasts of the forest. Or, really, beasts in general."
"Hm. Good question. Possibly a nest way off in the mountains, or my sisters pet." She approached it carefully, talking softly, complimenting it, petting it's head softly. It crooned and began to preen, a flash of royal purple showing through it's neck feathers. "Ah, it IS my sisters! Wonderful, then it will be returning to the castle soon."
"That," Thorne gestured at the hippogriff, "is your sister's pet? Wow." They look at Crystal. "And you're not allowed to have a fox?" They narrow their eyes. "Is it because you're the crown princess or something?"
"No, it's because ancient creatures like my two tailed fox are said to be devils and bring bad omens. My mother is sort of…eccentric on certain matters. I also have my dragon, and she says such a steed is trouble enough." She nods once, and shrugs as the beast gives out a cry. "Greyson. Focus…focus here yes that's it. Wings rise." The beast did so. "Now go home!" It then took off, it's wings knocking her over into you, and she laughed and wave. "My, what an adventure, and the day has barely started yet!"
"That is a good day." Thorne agreed, steadying Crystal. "Can you think of any more adventures to partake in today?" They grinned. "Maybe give me that tour?"
"Hm. I must care for the forest first, and make sure my sister doesn't burn down a whole village." She then straightened and steadied herself, kissed your nose, and headed off. Everywhere she kissed left a red lipstick stain behind. "PEARL! Go home!" The dragon gave a low growl of complaint. "Alright you can stay, but be vaguely close." The dragon then took off as she shook her head. "I love her so. Such a pretty steed. We'll see if we can get you your own by the end of today."
"There's a forest fire?" Thorne blinked. "And your sister is going to burn down a village?" They shook their head. "And, Crystal, we don't have to get me my own dragon if it's too much trouble." They fluttered their fingers and a bit of water appeared, swirling around their fingers.
"No, I'm saying she WOULD if she found out her hippogriff was hit by an arrow. And we'll see." She continued her walk, every once in a while there was the rustling of leaves as her dragon went from tree to tree. "Ya know, Pearl is only 50 years old. Most dragons live to be old as millenia, if not at least a few centuries. A young baby really, just barely a teen."
"Your sister sounds like someone I know," Thorne commented. "Why is her immediate plan of action to burn down a village?" They frowned. "Also. When'd you get Pearl?"
(Boop)
"My sister would freak out is what I'm saying dear. I'm overexaggerating. Anyways. I got Pearl when I was about 12 I'd say." She nods once.
"Oh, good." Thorne sighed in relief. "Was Pearl a baby dragon when you got her, then? And if so, how did you get her away from the parents? Or do dragons not really care about their offspring?" They tilt their head slightly, then give Crystal an embarrassed smile. "Sorry for asking so many questions, but this is all so… new, and I have to know everything!"
