He let loose a toothy grin, looking down at his shoes for a moment and chuckling. "You had me worried there for a moment."
He let loose a toothy grin, looking down at his shoes for a moment and chuckling. "You had me worried there for a moment."
She sighed. "I'm sorry. I'm really bad at actual relationships."
(alright, cool. if anyone needs a ship still I could possibly slide in if needed :v)
He shook his head. "Listen, 3 days is a lot of time to freak out about something. It wasn't your fault."
"Freak out?"
"Well, telling someone you love them isn't an easy task, and you know I get emotional after fighting for my life."
(You'll be the first person I call)
(I'm just happy I get to use my Siren Boi.)
She smiled. "That's an understatement." She reached up, lightly grabbing his face in her hands and pulling it close to hers. "I know I've said it once, but I'll say it again–I don't deserve you. You're too sweet and kind, and you've accepted every dark and twisted part of me. You're basically royalty, and the only claim to royalty I have is the criminal kind."
"Oh, please, I'm no prince," he said. "I'm just a goofball with a crown on his head."
She gave him a flat look. "You're related to a former Fae princess and the rulers of the universe. I'd say that qualifies for prince status."
He shrugged. "I'd rather just be Runner. Tega the Prince sounds too bitchy."
She snickered. "Runner it is," then pulled him closer, pressing her lips against his.
He smiled slightly, feeling his face heat up. God, this is Heaven.
Avery turned around, seeing Atticus. When he did, his face went red and there were only a few thoughts in his mind, most of them contain. How is he so cute? He is adorable! Avery walked over to Atticus, a nervous smile on his face. "Hiya Angel Boy, how are you?" He asked, placing a small kiss on Atti's cheek.
Atticus's face lit up in a large grin as soon as he heard Avery call to him. His face flushed bright red at the gentle and he tried his best to maintain his composure. "Ave… I'm great now that you're here… You, you look incredible!" Atticus exclaimed genuinely. He tentatively reached forward to play with Avery's painted nails before morphing the action into holding his hand. His own horns let off a dim glow at the contact.
Avery clutched Atticus's hand. "You do too." He exclaimed, his face still a shade of red along with the tips of his ears. "I like your robes, they bring out your wings." He muttered nervously, never the best at giving or receiving compliments. This was not their first date, he didn't need to be so nervous, he reminded himself.
Tessa pulled back and tapped Runner's red cheeks. "You're never going to get out of that, are you?" she asked with a smile. It's kinda cute.
"Mostly likely not." He smiled back, feeling it grow a shade deeper.
She chuckled and gave him a quick peck before asking, "How much longer until food? I'm seriously withering away right now."
"My internal clock says another thirty minutes, but I was distracted for a moment."
(Can we say there are some randoms at the dinner since otherwise, this place would be really empty?)
(Yeah, I got it)
A few more couples began to trickle inside of the restaurant, none of them dressed as well as Tess, but still good enough to be considered "fancy." Runner watched them with mild amusement, his hands still holding Tess's.
(I'm not good with randoms ;-;)
(It's alright)
She watched them too, sizing up everyone's attire and smirking to herself when she found no one dressed quite like her. And once again, I've outdone myself. Mental high five. Her gaze drifted to the dance floor. "You think we'll be able to dance before the host gets here?"
Angel boi dresses better then everyone, Avery dresses like a trash bag.
Music began to kick on, playing Headstrong by Trapt. "I am not about to go dance."
Tessa snickered. "Oh, I think you are."
"Not in these shoes. And not in front of people, either," he said, grinning slightly.
