He managed to light the fire, glancing out of his window before picking the icicle up off of the table to put it outside

She sighed and stood, making her way away from the house and following the footsteps again, hoping they would lead her to a civil area
He opened the door and threw it out into the snow
She managed to find her way back to the river and sat down. now what? she layed in the snow and decided to sleep for a bit
He let out a quiet sigh, a small plume of smoke leaving his lips
She woke up a few hours later and headed over the frozen river to the town nearby
He hummed quietly, tipping a small amount of water into a bowl
She hated the idea but she had no choice, covering her ears with the hood of the cloak, she ventured deeper into the markets of the town
He let out a sigh as he opened his cupboard, not having what he needed. He flicked his hood up and walked out of his house, walking to the market
no one's going to notice, just keep your head down she walked up to a vendor selling fruits and pointed at one "how much?" She asked "4 gold" he responded. She shook her head and walked off
He walked to the market, pulling his cloak closer to his body as he looked around
She clutched her stomach and made the decision. She walked back over to the vendor. When he was't looking, she trapped a few apples and ran. From behind her she could hear telling "HEY THEIF THEIF!!!" Her good flew off as she ran, exposing her fae ears. She rounded a corner and made her way down an ally way
Hearing the yelling, he looked around for the source
Seeing that she had hit a dead end, she stuffed the stolen fruit in her cloak pocket. Raising her hands, she prepared to fight.
(aa sorry i haven't been on here in ages)
He walked toward the yelling, glancing around
(its all good, glad to see you're back!)
"She's a fae child…" she heard them whisper
She flashed her teeth and growled "yeah, I am. Bite me." she taunted
His eyebrows furrowed as he pushed through the small crowd which had formed
The guards raised their swords "You're kind should've died with the rest of the Fae."
She grinned wildly "Well some of us are more resilient. Now you can either let me go or die trying to spill my blood."
"Hey, hey.." He stepped in front of the guards, "Let's not make a scene, shall we?"
She took the distraction as an opportunity and climbed over the wall
He held his hands up to show that he wasn't a threat, a small sigh escaping his lips
The guard glared at him "do you know what that thing is?" He questioned
"Mhm, I do. And it'd be wise to leave her alone"
so he wasn't ratting her out. She thought, plastering hersekf to the wall to listen in on the conversation
"Get out of the way boy. This is not a matter that concerns you." The guard snarled, shoving past him
“And may I ask how you know that it does not?” The hood of his cloak was up, his face wasn’t visible
"are you claiming to be associated with it?" The guard asked
She rolled her eyes "let him go," she yelled from over the wall
"Are you making assumptions? I'm not making any claims, simply giving… advice"
The guard glared at the boy "I don't appreciate advice. Especially when it involves them."
She peeked over the edge of the wall and sighed. She couldn't just leave him there….
“I’d re-evaluate the way you’re speaking, if I were you.” He stated, he clearly wasn’t intimidated by the guards
"You're one to talk. You're protecting a fae." The guard said, getting sick of stalling "Now get out of the way before we arrest you for treason."
