"Mm, but I wouldn't be awake. So you'd sorta be alone." Phoenix mumbled, rubbing at his eyes some. "I don't wanna do that to you."
"Mm, but I wouldn't be awake. So you'd sorta be alone." Phoenix mumbled, rubbing at his eyes some. "I don't wanna do that to you."
"I wouldn't mind," Cicada told him softly watching him. She slowly began to run her fingers through his hair.
"But… you're sure? I don't wanna fall asleep on you…" Phoenix continued to mumble, starting to fall asleep as she played with his hair. "Just say the word and I'll stay up…"
"No, sleep," Cicada insisted as she continued to run her hand through his hair. It seemed to help put him to sleep, "I'll be done soon anyway okay?"
"Fine, fine… wake me up if you need me…" Phoenix slurred some, yawning as he began to nod off. Not long after, he was asleep, his body relaxing as he was in his unconscious state.
"Will do," Cicada smiled a little as she continued to mess with his hair until she was sure he was asleep. She let out a long sigh letting the smile fall off her face before silently finishing eating her pizza.
Phoenix didn't really move, as he was practically sound asleep. It was strange how easily he seemed to relax, even though it didn't look like he had been too tense. There was a major difference between the two states.
Cicada was glad to see him relaxed. He didn't need to know how stressed she was, though he probably had an idea already. As long as he was fine, she would eventually wind down. Though she did need to move to put her plate on a surface before joining Phoenix.
(Do we want to skip soon?)
Phoenix barely moved, but he rolled onto his side in his sleep. He curled up on the bed, pulling the pillow closer to himself.
(Yeah)
Cicada let out a little laugh seeing Phoenix snuggling the pillow. She laid down next to him not getting in between him and the pillow.
(Sorry, I'm really drawing a blank.)
Phoenix adjusted himself when she lay down, subconsciously snuggling up even closer. "Mmm…" He hummed, curling up.
(Hahahahaha same)
Cicada smiled a little bit and snuggled up into him. She let out a little laugh before closing her eyes up against him.
(Skip, then?)
(Yes)
(when to? Any ideas?)
(None whatsoever lol. Maybe next day?)
(I mean, sure. I’ll get something up in a bit. My brain isn’t here right now.)
(That's fine)
(I'm sorry for not responding… I've been so non-motivated lately. I promise I'll respond soon.)
(You're fine. I've been really busy as of late and low key forgot notebook existed for a few days.)
(I finally feel motivated-)
As Phoenix made his way across campus, he stayed relaxed to his best extent. He hadn’t seen any signs of… him in the past couple weeks. But it didn’t keep him from being anxious. Anytime there was a suspicious character, or basically anyone he didn’t recognize, he felt his heart skip a beat. Eventually he came up to Cicada’s last class of the day, awkwardly waiting outside for her to come outside.
Cicada stepped out of the class and smiled at the sight of Phoenix. She had been the same way she had been for the past weeks, tense, but seeing him caused her to relax a little. It didn't mean her guard was down, just that she was fine, "Hey."
Phoenix smiled when he saw her, coming up and wrapping his arms around her in a hug. "Hey, Cicada. You doing alright?" He asked softly, resting his chin on the top of her head.
"Better now you're here," Cicada replied quietly so no one else would hear. She was being completely honest when saying that. Him being here with her meant that her ex had gotten to him and he was safe. A big weight off her shoulders.
Phoenix nodded gently as he started to walk down the sidewalk. His hold on her hand was firm, a weak smile playing at his lips. "That's good to hear… are- I'm guessing you want to go back to your dorm, right?"
"Yeah," Cicada nodded as she walked with him her body on high alert. If her hand was a little warmer than usual, she didn't say anything. It was just her body preparing for the worst, "Unless you want to go to your dorm?"
"There's my roommates there. It's up to you, but I doubt you'd want to." Phoenix hummed, slowly strolling alongside her. He tried to come off as at ease with their situation, despite being anxious on the inside. "So your room is probably best?"
"It probably is," Cicada agreed walked slowly next to him. She attempted to look a little bit relax, though her body remained wound up and ready to fight at a moments notice, "Though I will see your room one day."
(Ack- I'm sorry I've been busy…)
Phoenix chuckled a bit, kissing the top of her head gently. "Sure thing… just not today. It's kind of a mess." He hummed a bit, reaching her dorm with a light sigh. "I at least need to pick up the trash, and put my clothes away."
(Yeah, so have I lol)
Cicada hummed a little as she went to open the door up for them. Finally, she was back to safety, she hoped so at least, "I think I should see your room as it is. Especially since you're always over at my room and I never get time to clean."
