Phoenix eventually pushed up from off the bed, glancing over to her with a soft smile. After a while, the two had just curled up next to each other and talked about nothing in particular. But with realizing how late it was, Phoenix had mentioned something about breakfast and his car. "I'm gonna call, if that's alright. I wanna know how bad my car is, so I can possibly call my sister if need be."
Cicada nodded a little as she sat up as well. She had been enjoying just cuddling with Phoenix, but now that they were talking about other things she realized how hungry she was getting, "That's probably a good idea. While you do that do you want me to order us cinnamon rolls for breakfast?"
"If you're up for it, that would be wonderful. If you don't really want to, we'll just have to wait a little longer. You could always just write a list of everything you want, while you wait." Phoenix offered, sliding off the bed with a little yawn. He reached over to the side table to pick up his phone, reaching for a business card he had grabbed while they were there.
"I'll call room service then," Cicada responded sliding across the bed and looked at the hotel phone. Luckily it had the number for room service on it so that wouldn't be too difficult, "I don't know about you, but I'm starving and would like to eat sooner than later."
"M'kay then. I'll go in the other room, so we don't mix conversations." Phoenix hummed, starting to dial the number. "Though once you're done, feel free to come out and we can cuddle. Even if I'm still on the phone."
"Okay. I'm holding you to that," Cicada replied with a little smile glanicng over at him. She began to dial the number and only pushed the call button once Phe had left the room. It didn't take long for her to order, since she knew what she wanted already.
Phoenix was still on the phone, starting to pace back and forth out in the main room. It really hadn't taken long for him to get so stressed. His face was full of dread, listening to the man on the other end of the phone.
Cicada slipped out from the bedroom after ordering and hanging up. She spotted Phoenix pacing and instantly got worried. He was still on the phone, so she walked over to him and gently tapped his shoulder before gesturing to the little couch.
Phoenix glanced back at her, sighing softly before nodding. "Right, yeah. So how long would that be?" He asked the man on the phone, dropping down on the couch. Though he made sure there was room for Cicada on the couch.
Cicada sat down next to him. It sounded like his car would be out of commision for a while, which wasn't great. She nuzzled up against his side hoping that might comfort him a little bit.
"You're joking… you're absolutely joking." Phoenix muttered, pinching the bridge of his nose with a weak sigh. He barely seemed to notice her nuzzled up against her, right now. "Alright, well… thank you. Yeah, bye." He mumbled, pulling his phone away with a soft sigh.
Cicada glanced up at him. She waited until she was sure the phone call was over before lightly kissing his cheek. She pulled away before she asked him concerningly, "How bad is it?"
Phoenix dropped his phone on the couch, trying to keep from growing angry. Taking in a deep breath, he ran a hand down his face before looking over to her. "Don't freak out, but my car is stuck in the shop for the next two weeks." He told her slowly. "But, like I said earlier, I can call Savanna. Or my parents. They can come get us, and I'll come back up later to get my car."
Cicada winced as her mind threatened to slip into a panic at the amount of time he had said. Two weeks? That was such a long time for it to be stuck in this town, but Phoenix had people that could pick them up. She took a deep breath in and released it slowly, "I, yeah. You might want to do that. But, um, after breakfast? Please?"
"Of course, I can do that." Phoenix whispered, trying to keep his own anger and frustrations down for her sake. He didn't want to start anything. Carefully he wrapped his arm over her shoulders, swallowing down most of his thoughts and emotions. It was his turn to be the adult, to let her not have to. "Who would you be more comfortable with? My sister would probably ask questions, and my mom would probably tease me, and you occasionally. I don't think my dad would come along."
"I think your sister," Cicada responded after thinking for a moment. She was surprised Phoenix wasn't angry, or frustrated about the situation. But those thoughts were in the back of her head, her main concern was trying to stay calm and trust in her boyfriend. She cuddled up against him letting her eyes shut. Of course today had to be like yesterday, this town was just a curse.
Phoenix nodded a bit, letting his happy face drop when she wasn't looking. As long as she wasn't looking, he kept an expressionless face. "Then I'll call 'er. It'll probably be a couple of hours, before she gets here, though." He mumbled a little, rubbing her shoulder just a little to comfort her further. "We'll be out of here as soon as possible."
"Mmkay. Thank you," Cicada murmured to him keeping her eyes shut. She was sticking close to him as she kept reminder herself that she was going to be fine. Phe was going to be fine. Everything was going to be fine. She was dealing with this her way and she would let him deal with it his way, "This is probably more stressful for you right? And here you are, making sure I'm okay."
"Nah, I'm fine." Phoenix lied smoothly, running a hand through his hair. Being fine was the biggest part of the lie; the young man was as far from fine as a lot of people could get. Though it wasn't really the stress that was bugging him at the moment. "Just tired, I guess. But that's what you get for sleeping in a new place. It's never good enough when you go to sleep."
Cicada glanced up at him before lightly kissing his cheek again. She nodded a little as she went back to her curled up psoistion, "Yeah. And then having to deal with car problems and your girlfriend's ex problems doesn't help much either does it?"
"I mean, yeah. It makes things difficult, sure. But I'm seriously fine." Phoenix shrugged, letting a smile pick up when she kissed him. Though it didn't last long, his face dropping a bit as he let out a soft sigh.
Cicada saw his face droop once more and she gave him a soft smile. At least he wasn't pretending to be happy right now, "If anything changes let me know, okay? I want to help you when you're not fine like you help me."
"I'm not sure there's anything you could do. But I'll let you know." Phoenix mumbled, leaning over and kissing the top of her head. He gently rested his chin on the top of her head, keeping close to her. "How long until food gets up here?"
"Any moment now," Cicada replied leaning back against him. She figured there would be something she could help, with his feelings at least, "So we'll have to break apart soon."
"Mmm, but I like cuddling…" Phoenix pouted some, lifting his head to look at her. "Do we have toooo?~ Can't they just bring it in to us??" He mumbled more, seeming to curl up more in a stubborn manner.
