Derlik sighed some.
"So boring." He pushed the man to be laying face down, his torso flopping over.
Derlik sighed some.
"So boring." He pushed the man to be laying face down, his torso flopping over.
He let out another pained cry.
Derlik rolled his eyes.
"You act all big and scary, but can't even handle pain." The god hovered his hand over the man, putting him back together.
Arthur whimpered as he was healed up, shaking in Derlik's hand.
Derlik pushed the man around to be laying on his back, making him look up at Derlik.
"Weakling."
He closed his eyes, not looking at Derlik. Not wanting to.
Derlik pushed the man's chin up roughly in response.
"Answer me, before you find yourself in a place where you don't get healed."
He whimpered, shaking his head a little bit.
"That's not an answer." Derlik pulled the man up by his shirt, letting him dangle far, far above the boulder.
Arthur whimpered again. "No." he said.
Nik frowned a little. He had been ignoring Derlik, figuring the god had just been talking to himself, but…now he could hear someone else, too.
Derlik didn't notice Nik's change, focused on Arthur. He lowered the man back onto his palm. He nudged the man's head with his finger, staring down at him.
Arthur blinked at him, unsure what Derlik wanted from him.
Derlik thought a moment, finally glancing at Nik again. He lowered his hand as well, so Arthur was back in his lap.
Nik let out a faint breath. "Who are you talking to, Derlik?" he asked quietly.
"No one," Derlik said. He covered Arthur with his hand discretely, covering the man's mouth with a thumb. This time, if the man tried anything funny, Derlik would crush his head.
"I thought I heard someone." Nik frowned faintly, unsure if he was just hearing things or not. Arthur whimpered quietly.
Derlik shook his head.
"No, no one here but you and me." Derlik kept his thumb pressing against Arthur's head some, his pinky finding it's way to the man's shirt, going under it.
Arthur stiffened with alarm, going still under Derlik's hand. Nik nodded faintly. "Okay." he said slowly.
Derlik offered a small smile, then turned away from Nik. He kept the one finger under Arthur's shirt, getting an idea. He pressed his fingernail into the man's skin, drawing blood.
Arthur inhaled in pain, a faint groan leaving his mouth.
Derlik didn't care, continuing. He had a very specific word he had in mind he wanted to carve out of this man's stomach's skin.
Arthur squirmed in pain.
Derlik finally pulled his hand away when he finished.
Toy. Spelled out quite neatly.
Arthur was crying quietly, soft sounds of pain leaving his mouth.
this time, Arthur wasn't getting healed. Instead, all Derlik did was pull the man's shirt back down, leaving him to deal with however the wound would heal from there.
