He smiled gently. "Oh my little rose…" he mutters quietly. "There is nothing to fear." He mutters as he ran a hand through her hair, his hand gentle as it threads through her soft hair." He sighed as he ran a thumb over her cheek. "You are such an intriguing human." He gazes at her.
Aliana sat up and leaned against his arm, hugging it. "I don't want you to go, Cian," She said through her hoarse voice, shutting her eyes completely at the feeling of his fingers in her hair. "I haven't even been able to see your face. They can't kill you."
He gazed at her and sighed softly. "Oh Aliana…" He mutters quietly. "I will not abandon you." he mutters as he brushed some hair from her face. Cian sighed gently and looked at her. "I will show you my face. But no one else will know, understand?" Cian gazed at her with gentle yellow orbs.
Aliana gazed up at him as he brushed the hair from her face, opening her eyes at his promises. "You will? I promise not to tell anyone, Cian." She gave him a small smile, touching her hand on his. She liked his bigger hands. They made her feel safe and protected. She just really liked Cian. She met his gaze with her brown eyes.
He sighed gently before carefully removing his mask with his hand. He opened his eyes, his hair falling into his face. He gazed at her before the moonlight caught his face. His skin was paler then the fine moonlight, almost appearing to be snow the way it glistened in the light. His golden orbs gaze down at her under long lashes, his lips a pale pink, soft, plump and full. Small fangs poked at his bottom lip, his face small, and slender with a jutting jawline and flawless features. He held her gently in his grasp, his thumb running along her cheek.
Aliana watched, her eyes widening as she gazed at his face. He was so beautiful and perfect– it was like he was something out of a picturebook. Her eyes trailed each perfect feature of his face, then met his golden eyes again. Her fine fingers were still looped with his, and her body still leaned against him.
"Cian… you-you're perfect… You're so beautiful."
He smiled softly, running a smooth finger along her cheek. "That's kind of you my dear." he mutters gently as he gazed at her. Cian rarely ever removed his mask, but no one was sure why. He was good looking, but perhaps it was the reason behind the fact that he was a royal. He wanted an air of mystery around him. He chuckles softly, "My little rose, there is no need to fear for me." He mutters gently as he gazes at her. "Look upon my face and know I will protect you at all costs."
"It's not kindness, my king, it's true," She breathed softly, her lips opened slightly as she gazed back. She wished he removed his mask more. It would be a real, true spectacle for everyone. For some reason, gazing into his eyes made her feel safe and at peace. She wouldn't want his beautiful face under the pale hands of death. She bit her lip and nodded slowly, almost entranced at this point.
"I know you will protect me, I just want you to protect yourself, too. I don't wanna lose you."
(Hey I went away for a bit but I'm back on regularly now!)
Cian gazes at this wonder of a human, a small smile gracing his lips as he ran his thumb along her cheek. "Oh, my little rose…" He mutters. He didn't know why, or how. But he had grown fond of Aliana. He would do anything to protect her. He kissed her forehead gently. "I will return to your side. You don't have to fear." he mutters gently as he smiled down at her. "I want you to rest well, knowing that I will come back to you alive and well."
Aliana smiled at the kiss to her forehead, bobbing her head up a little higher to accept more kisses. She liked his attention, his warm, soft gazes as he stared at her. She moved against his warm side, snuggling closer.
"Will you sleep with me tonight, Cian? I want to be sure you will return to me tomorrow night, warm on my side." She wasn't afraid to sleep with him. He was cozy and comfy.
He chuckles softly. It was a thick and velvety sound. If someone were to sew it into a blanket it would be the fluffiest, softest and warmest blanket in the world. He nods slowly. "I will rest with you." He replies gently, his hand running through her hair as he let her tuck into his side. He thought it was rather sweet. He gazed at her, smiling gently before settling down into the bed and tugging her to his side.
Aliana shivered at the sound of his chuckle, enchanting her deeper into the luxurious, soft blanket of his voice. She soon found herself laying down, and she used the chance to cuddle closer and hide into his chest with a happy little sigh. She wouldn't let her worries completely die down, but she did want to forget about them just a little.
"Thank you, Cian," She murmured softly as her eyes fell shut.
After the fights or during?//
(Well assuming Cian would be able to beat the shit out of them, after?)
Cian collapsed against a wall of the arena, wiping blood from his lip. He was clutching his side and he was trembling but he was alive. The arena was covered in blood and bodies of the now dead nobles sat there. He had sent Sumika to go and find new nobles worthy of the title before he sighed softly and limped out of the area, shedding his shirt so he could assess the deep wound in his side.
Once Sumika had left, and all of the noise of battle died down, Aliana peeked out from her hiding spot to gaze at him. She had a few medical supplies hanging from her hands. She bounded over quietly with Blizzard on her heels, settling down next to him. Her makeup was a bit smudged, suggesting that she was either hiding in her hands or crying (perhaps both?). She moved his hands with her small ones and started to clean the wound, her head dipped as she worked, completely silent, which was strange for the human.
He winced as he gazed at the wound. He looked over at Aliana and smiled a little, his clean hand going to gently touch her cheek. He smiled gently at her. "I kept my promise." He says softly. Blizzard rests beside him and makes a soft purring noise. He winced when he let her take care of his wound, leaning back a little. He grunts in slight pain before gazing at her. "You're awfully quiet."
Aliana relaxed her head into his hand, and she finished with the wound, sighing softly and taking his other hand. She bit her lip and nodded, looking up at him with a small sniffle.
"Let's go back to my room. It's closer," She murmured softly, standing up and helping him up to his feet the best she could. She kept her head down away from his gaze again, leaning against him and taking as much of his weight as she could, her arms wrapped around his waist.
He walked beside her and grunts softly, allowing her to support him. He sighed softly and settles on the bed and settles down and sighs softly. He groans and sighed softly and holds onto his side. He looks back up at the other and smiles gently at her. He looks around and shakes his head. "Are you alright?" He mutters, running his thumb along her cheek.
Aliana lowered herself down so she was sitting next to him, letting go of his waist and gently taking one of his hands so they were off of his wound. It would just make it hurt more. She focused on entwining her fingers with his as he settled down, trying not to listen to her soft groans.
"I'm okay." She leaned her head into his other hand.
