Cain was standing in the garden, his eyes shut as he let the sound of the water fountain calm him. He held a small ring in his hand, fiddling with it as he tried to remain calm. Sumika stood beside him and sets a gentle hand on his shoulder. "It will be alright brother." She says softly. He nods before taking a breath. "Please. Sumika. Bring her here." He mutters quietly. Sumika gave a silent nod before leaving him in the moonlit garden.

Alaina was in her bedroom listening to music on a dramophone her king had gotten her, with a variety of different genres. Currently she was listening to a curious genre called ‘electro swing’ as she herself wriggled around the room with Blizzard, laughing and smiling. It had been a pleasant last few months with the vampires and Blizzard. She and Cain had grown closer than she could ever imagine and had started sleeping together upon her request. She was happier than she had felt or remembered.

Blizzard was dancing happily, laughing with her when a sharp knock echoed on the door. Sumika opened the door and offered a very faint smile. "Cain wishes to see you." She says slowly and clears her throat. Blizzard sat on the bed and waved at Alaina. "Have fun!"

Alaina paused when they were interrupted, looking over her shoulder and turning off the music to hear Sumika.
“Oh, okay! Thanks Blizzard.” She smiled and trotted out of the room, her yellow sundress flicking after her as she followed Sumika out of her room and to the garden, looking curious.

Sumika let Alaina into the gardens before shutting the large crystal doors quietly. There was a small path of rose petals strewn across the floor. The moon was full and bright. It lit up the entire garden in a breathtaking way, the crystal roses on the bushes sparkling softly.

Aliana glanced over her shoulder when Sumika didn’t come out with her and shut the doors, but shook it off and started down the path of roses, looking around at the shimmer of the crystal roses. The moonlight touched on her light hair and made it shine a pretty, silver color, as if the gods themselves had presented themselves in her. She approached Cain and looked up, smiling bright as she approached him.

Cain waited patiently, taking a deep breath when he gazed at Aliana for a moment. She was absolutely breathtaking in the moonlight. He walked over to her and kissed her hand kindly. "Hello, Aliana." he says quietly, his eyes trained on her. His mask had been removed, so he could be seen in the serene moonlight. He gazes at her for a moment before saying quietly, "Walk with me?"

Aliana smiled back, looping her fingers with his once he finished kissing her hand. “Hello Cain,” She murmured back, rather quiet in her voice for once, as if afraid she was going to break something by being loud. “Of course.” Her gaze was stuck on his face, which had been pleasantly lined by the moon’s rays. She started walking with him, moving against him so she was leaned against his warmth.

Cain smiled a bit before beginning to walk with her. There was a peace here that he was grateful for. He kissed her forehead gently as they walked. He led her to the very center of the garden before turning to face her. "Aliana. I have something I wish to ask you." he says softly as he gazes at her with honey colored orbs.

Her small, light body moved with his almost seamlessly. They went on a lot of walks together, so they were able to sort out something that worked. Though before Aliana could enjoy it, she was forced to stand on her own as he pulled away. She looked up at him with a smile nevertheless, looking happy and excited like she always did.
“What is it?” She asked softly, like a child at Christmas waiting for a present.

Cain had never felt so nervous, so excited, so… anything really. He took a deep breath before revealing the beautiful gold encrusted ruby ring. "Aliana…" he whispers softly. "I'm not very good at speeches, so I will say this. I love you. And I wish to love you for eternity. If I may, may I please ask for you to stand by my side as my queen?" He asks softly, his golden eyes staring intently into hers.

Her gaze flicked to the ring and back up to his face as he talked, a bigger smile making its way across Aliana’s pretty features. She stepped closer and gently took his hands, giving him a kiss on the lips.
“I’d love that,” She murmured softly, tilting her head a little as their hands held on to each other. And she wanted nothing more than to be his queen, to be with him for the rest of her life. She still had been afraid of him sending her back to live with other humans, but now she could rest that worry.

Cain held his breath as he gazed at her and smiled gently. He kissed her back gently and held her close. He slipped on the ring and gave a small sigh of happiness and held her close. He wanted nothing more then to have Aliana by his side, and wanted nothing more then to love her for eternity. He would never send her back. He could never send her back. She was everything to him.

Aliana gazed up at him and leaned up, pressing a kiss to his lips again. She looked so happy, happier than she ever had, and that was really saying something.
“Cain, thank you for picking me. It’s so nice to know you love me as much as I do.” Though she didn’t understand love as much as she could, she knew Cain was special. Something about him made her attracted to him in more ways than she had ever known existed and she loved it.

He smiled down at her and kissed her back, his arms wrapping gently around her. She was everything to him. He wanted her by his side. He kissed her forehead. "I will always pick you, my love." he whispers softly. He smiled at her and held her close. "I love you very much." He whispers as he gazed down at her. he wanted nothing more then this. The world could be falling apart but if he had her, the world could turn to ashes.

Aliana smiled as she relaxed against him again, her eyes sparkling bright in the moonlight. Her fingers stroked his silky hair gently after relaxing them on his cheeks, entranced by all of the soft feelings she got from just touching him.
“I love you too, Cain. My king.” She blushed and giggled softly, realizing now that she would be his queen. It made her feel better than anything ever could.

He leaned into her gentle touches. He wanted nothing more to have her beside him. He leans into her palm before kissing it gently and smiling at her. He feared he would never be able to love like this once again. But then Aliana had entered his life. She had brought light back, innocence, beauty. He was eternally grateful to her, and all that she had done for him and those in the palace.

Aliana stood with him for what felt like a comfortable eternity, until their legs were achy and tired. She took his hand gently and brought him into the palace, bringing him up to his room. She rarely had been in his room because of how far it was from where she liked to hang out, but she liked it a lot. It smelled much like him and his bed was broken in and comfortable. Sometimes she slept in it when he was away on important business to pretend she was snuggling up next to him.

But now it was their room. And that thought made her even more giddy.

He let her guide him to his room, letting out a soft and content sigh. His golden eyes glint softly in the moonlight filtering gently into his room. He held her hand tightly, not to much to hurt her hand of course. He kissed the top of her head as they entered his room, smiling at her. "I love you, my shining star." He whispers, wrapping her in a gentle hug.

She inhaled the smell of his room as they entered it, and stepped forwards to hug him back, leaning her head against his chest. She tilted her head up a little with a happy, little smile on her face as they held hands.
“I love you too.” Unfortunately she didn’t have a cute nickname for him. She had always thought about calling him ‘moon’ because of how his hair shone in the moonlight and how yellow his eyes were, but never got around to it.
