Larkin considered for a few seconds before carefully climbing down to the ground. He continued to hold tightly to Samul's hand, however. "There. How's that?"
Larkin considered for a few seconds before carefully climbing down to the ground. He continued to hold tightly to Samul's hand, however. "There. How's that?"
"As long as you're comfortable, it's good with me." Samul leaned over to gently kiss Larkin's cheek, giving his hand a gentle squeeze.
Larkin returned the kiss and sighed softly, seeming less tense now. "Mhmm. Ready to go get some breakfast?"
Samul nodded, glad Larkin looked to be doing better.
"Yes, let's." By the time they got out, the food had been dished up, Samul's plate and Larkin's massive bowl of the sausage gravy and biscuits ready.
Larkin grinned at the sight of the food, sitting down and immediately starting to eat. "Mmmm~… amazing as always. Samul, we should make these some time!"
Samul sat down as well, smiling as everyone dug in.
"I think that's a wonderful idea!" Samul's smile turned into a grin as he gently bumped his shoulder against Larkin's.
Larkin happily kissed Samul's cheek and kept eating, soon finishing the large bowl of food. "We'll need to get all sorts of recipes from you guys."
Samul's Mama chuckled, nodding.
"I'll be sure to write them down, then! Samul had best be making them, too." She pointed her fork at her son, and he laughed some.
"I'll be sure of it!"
Larkin grinned brightly. "I can't cook at all, but Samul's really good! Maybe you can teach me sometime, hmm?"
"I think that would be a wonderful idea," Samul's Mom pointed out. Samul smiled some, leaning over to kiss Larkin's cheek.
Larkin happily returned the kiss, seeming pleased. "Do we have any plans for today?" He asked curiously.
"Well, I was thinking today would be a good day to have some fun together outside," Mama said, humming. "I know Samul's puppy will be excited to see him."
Larkin seemed confused for a moment, but then nodded. "Okay! Sounds good to me!" He chirped in reply.
(Larkin: But… I'm Samul's puppy :( )
(XD)
Samul chuckled some, leaning over to hug Larkin and kiss his cheek. Mama stood, cleaning up the plates from breakfast.
Larkin returned the kiss and got to his feet, stretching and yawning. "Well, I'm ready to head outside whenever."
"Me too," Samul said, standing and offering his hand to Larkin.
"Here, I can take you out while we wait for the others."
"Mmkay!" Larkin took Samul's hand and compliantly followed, seeming pretty happy.
Samul took a deep breath as they stepped outside, smiling. It didn't last long, a dalmatian puppy coming bounding around a corner and launching itself at Samul.
"Hey, Jackson!" After his time with Larkin, Samul had gotten very good at catching flying dogs and wolves.
Larkin grinned at the sight of the puppy and started petting it, his own tail wagging excitedly. "Aww, he's so cute! He better not try and take you from me, though. I'll always be your favorite, right?"
"Always," Samul assured. He leaned over, kissing Larkin. The puppy's tail wagged hard, sniffing at Larkin as he was pet. He pushed forward, trying to lick over Larkin's face. Samul laughed some, setting the puppy down.
Larkin returned the kiss and grinned down at the puppy, flopping down on the ground so he could play with it. "Does he have any toys?" He asked curiously.
"Yeah, I'll go get them!" Jackson romped around some, sniffing over Larkin. His head tilted when he saw Larkin's tail, bouncing forward in a playful manner before pulling back and repeating the motion.
Larkin snickered a bit and got down on his hands and knees, mimicking the puppy. "Well, c'mon, then! I'm bigger than you! You know I'll win every time!"
The puppy only barked at this, pushing forward to tackle Larkin and gently mouth him in a mime of a bite. Samul was coming back, smiling some at the two playing.
Larkin fell over on his side, pretending that the puppy had been strong enough to topple him. "Oh nooooooo… I've been defeated!"
