"Exactly, that's why I was trying not to say anything." Samul chuckled, kissing Larkin again and hugging him.
"Exactly, that's why I was trying not to say anything." Samul chuckled, kissing Larkin again and hugging him.
Larkin rolled his eyes and rested his head on Samul's shoulder. "Yeah, yeah… when are we gonna leave?"
"Yes, we are," Samul said, humming. "We could leave right now if we wanted. We're all packed."
"Alright. Do you wanna call your moms then to tell them that we're coming?" He asked.
"Sounds good to me." Samuel kissed Larkin lightly, finally pulling away to sling his bag over one shoulder and grab his phone.
Larkin returned the kiss and grabbed his own bag with a soft huff. "I'll be waiting at the door."
"Alright, dear, I'll be out in a moment." Samul had already dialed, humming softly.
"Yeah, Mom? We're on our way out, just letting you know."
Larkin was standing by the door when Samul came out, now wearing a large beanie to cover his ears.
Samul finished his call, coming over. He looked over Larkin once to make sure everything was tucked away, kissing his cheek.
"Shall we go then?"
"Mhmm. Let's get going." Larkin opened the door and headed out. "Are we walking or driving?"
"Driving, it's too long to walk." Samul took Larkin's hand in his, holding his keys up with the other. "It shouldn't be too long, though, we'll make it for dinner."
"Alright. Do you know what they're making?" Larkin asked curiously as he got into the passenger seat.
"Something with meat was all I was told," Samul said, chuckling some. He got in, closing the door and turning the car on.
"Sounds good to me." Larkin stretched out a bit and yawned, humming contentedly to himself.
Samul started driving, tapping the wheel lightly with his thumb.
"It'll be a bit of a drive," Samul reminded, humming some.
"Mm… alright. What should we do in the meantime?" He asked. "You know I get bored pretty easily."
"Car games?" Samul suggested. "Try to spot all fifty states licenses plates?"
"Mmmmm… I dunno…" Larkin stuck his tongue out a bit and huffed. "How long is the ride, anyway?"
"A couple hours," Samul admitted. "It's the reason I moved into the apartment instead of staying with them."
"Mmmmmm…" Larkin leaned his head back against the seat. "Yeah… that's a long ass time."
"Yeah, I know sweetie," Samul said. He reached over, taking Larkin's hand in his.
Larkin whined loudly and linked his fingers with Samul's. "Mmmmmm… maybe I could take a nap."
"A nap could work," Samul agreed. "I'll wake you up when he get there."
"Alright…" Larkin closed his eyes and sighed, still holding onto Samul's hand. "Love you…"
"I love you too, dear…" Samul smiled softly, leaving his hand in Larkin's.
