"Yaaaay…" Larkin gently kissed Samul's neck and nuzzled against him affectionately. "You better not try and make me do tricks again." He huffed. "You know how terrible I am at them. I'm not very smart, you know. Also I have terrible balance."
"No promises," Samul said, chuckling a bit. He rested his head against Larkin, nuzzling back a bit.
"You're just so cute, I can't help it!"
Larkin stuck his tongue out playfully. "So mean to me, love. I can't help being fucking adorable all the time, you know. It's just a burden I have to bear."
"Mhm, and that burden means I'm still going to try to play fetch with you, because you're absolutely adorable when you try." Samul smiled, playfully nipping at Larkin's tongue before kissing him gently. He turned the bacon, soon pulling them off and putting them on a platter to pat dry.
Larkin huffed indignantly, keeping his tongue out of his mouth and turning his ears back while he pouted. "But I can't catch it…" He whined. "It's cruel and unusual punishment regardless of how fun it is."
"But it's really really fun," Samul said.
"Besides, treats are for rewards, not just cause you want them~" Samul blushed a bit at his own words, humming as he lifted up a piece of bacon to offer to Larkin.
"And you don't have to catch, just…. fetch it. If I wanted to ask you to catch it I'd call it catch."
Larkin quickly snapped up the bacon in his mouth, narrowly missing Samul's fingers. He ate it out of the other's hand before huddling up against him again. "You give me treats because I'm a good boy and I deserve them."
"Yes, because you are." Samul kissed Larkin's cheek lightly, used to close encounters with appendages.
"And you trying to do all the tricks makes you an extra good boy." He picked up the plate of bacon, pausing a moment to pull out a sucker too, just cause he wanted Larkin to cave in.
Larkin snapped up a second piece of bacon as soon as it was in reach and looked up when Samul pulled out candy. It was hard to keep himself from drooling as he stared at it. "Please?" He asked holding his hands out for the candy.
Samul tilted his head a bit.
"Will you let me do tricks with you later?" He asked, holding the candy just out of reach in case Larkin had any ideas.
Larkin whined as he tried to reach the candy, huffing a bit. "Ughhh, fiiiiine… just gimme the candy. I already said please!"
Samuel held the candy a moment more, then handed it over to Larkin.
"Love you~" he said, kissing Larkin's forehead. He made his way to the living room, sitting down with Larkin in his lap.
Larkin stuck the lollipop in his mouth and huddled up in Samul's lap, sucking on it idly. "What time is it?" He asked. "I'll shift as soon as the moon rises…"
Samul looked up at the clock.
"It's about six now, so we have a few hours." He smiled, taking a piece of bacon and taking a bite of it.
"Mmkay." Larkin looked up when he noticed Samul eating bacon and whined softly, pulling the lollipop out of his mouth to lean towards Samul.
Samul still had the strip of bacon between his teeth and lips, seeing how Larkin was looking at him. He leaned forward as well, smiling a bit. If Larkin wanted it, he'd have to take it.
Larkin leaned forward and bit down on the bacon, meeting Samul in the middle. He soon pulled away with the bacon in his mouth, seeming quite pleased with himself.
Samul chuckled a bit, giving Larkin a hug and kissing his cheek.
"You know, I really should get started on those biscuits, especially if you want one right after to shift. What flavor so you want this time?"
"Mmmmm… peanut butter, maybe?" Larkin shrugged, nuzzling against Samul's cheek affectionately. "Or whatever else you feel like putting in them."
"Okay then! Chicken or beef broth for them?" Samul stood again, nuzzling back. He headed to the kitchen, grabbing some flour, peanut butter, applesauce, and the bone cookie cutters he had bought.
"Uhm… beef." Larkin replied after a few seconds of hesitation. "How long till they're done?" He asked. "Gotta make sure that they're done before I shift, you know. I'm a really fucking dumb wolf."
"Well, once they're in the oven it should take around… Fifteen to eighteen minutes." Samul grabbed the broth, turning the oven on. He measured out the flour and peanut butter, combining them with a hum. He added the applesauce, stirring the broth in until it was a dough. He rolled it out, cutting it into large biscuits with the cookie cutters. Once he had an the dough cut into biscuits, he set them out on a tray and slipped them into the oven.
"Mmkay! Lemme know when they're done~" Larkin stretched out a bit and yawned with a soft whine, flattening his ears back against his head. "I'm still fucking hungry…" He whined. "Why I gotta be so hungry?"
"Aw, poor boy," Samul said. "There's still some bacon left you can munch on." Samul went back to scratching Larkin's back, smiling lightly.
"Okaaaay…" Larkin found the bacon and stuck a couple of strips into his mouth, his tail starting to wag again. "Bacon is so fuckin good…" He mumbled.
