@Fraust
Larkin nodded a bit, tucking his tail between his legs. "I hope you're right… I don't wanna get tested on or anything…"
Larkin nodded a bit, tucking his tail between his legs. "I hope you're right… I don't wanna get tested on or anything…"
Samul held Larkin, looking down at him.
"I'm never going to let anyone try to hurt you like that," he said softly, a resolve there. He'd die before he let that happen.
Larkin nodded again as he clung to Samul. "It's… it's not my fault I'm like this…" He whispered.
"It's not," Samul assured softly. "And no will be able to hurt you because of it, I swear."
"O-Okay…" He rubbed at his eyes a bit, sniffling. "Sorry, s-sorry…" He laughed weakly. "I'm being stupid again, aren't I?"
"You're not being stupid," Samul said. He kissed Larkin's head again gently.
"I just feel… I just feel dumb right now…" Larkin whispered weakly.
"I promise you're not," Samul said. "These are real fears you have, and it's never dumb to express how it makes you feel. I'll always be here to support you, okay?" Samul kissed Larkin's cheek.
Larkin nodded weakly and returned the kiss, huddling close to Samul. "T-Thank you, love… it… it means a lot…"
"Of course, dear…" Samul held Larkin gently, rubbing small circles in his back.
Larkin yawned a bit as he nuzzled against Samul, sniffling a bit more. "I love you…" He murmured.
"I love you too…" The timer beeped in the kitchen, and Samul had to get up. He brought Larkin with him, not letting go of his boyfriend. He wrapped the robe around him too, holding Larkin to his bare chest.
Larkin shivered a bit when Samul stood with him, resting his head on the other's shoulder. "How'd you cook them?"
Samul made sure the soft robe was secure around them, carrying Larkin to the kitchen.
"Well, I pan seared them, then finished them in the oven."
"Mm… rare?" He asked softly, nuzzling against Samul's cheek with his eyes closed. He was clearly a bit tired.
"But of course." Samul smiled softly. He kissed Larkin's head, pulling the steaks out.
Larkin smiled brightly as he kissed Samul's cheek. "Mmmm~ they look great, love."
"Good! I'm glad." Samul carried the steaks to the table, sitting down with Larkin in his lap.
Larkin dug into his steak as soon as Samul set it down, growling softly as he did. Although his mouth was too full of steak to talk, he obviously liked it.
Samul smiled as Larkin tore into his meat, eating a bit more civilly himself.
"I'm glad you like it," he smiled.
Larkin nodded eagerly, seeming to have brightened from the somber conversation from only a few minutes prior.
Samul hummed.
"Perfect!" He grinned.
Larkin quickly finished his food and cuddled up with Samul, seeming to be comfortable and content for now.
Samul was still eating, not near as fast as Larkin. When he finished, he sat back, arms going around Larkin's waist. He kissed his boyfriend lightly. He'd need to leave soon, but he didn't say a word.
"I love you…" Larkin murmured, his tail wagging weakly. "I really wish you didn't have to go…"
