As Oliana faded in and out of consciousness, she began to glitch. It wasn't the glitch that affects and kills normal people. It was the glitch of her teleporting to and from the net. She was stuck between the worlds, her glitching body reflecting it.
When Abigail woke up, she felt a sharp pain coming from somewhere from her body. Apart from the pain, her legs were asleep, and she tried shaking them in a attempt of waking them.
Oliana finally fell fully unconscious, waking up in the net. Just being there seemed to calm her, being alone in a large expanse. She couldn't have ever explained it. The feeling being there felt.
Abigail frowned as she failed to wake up her legs. She stopped her attempt in waking her legs and just stayed in place, knowing that her legs had to wake up sooner or later. She winced as the pain began to bother her more than usual.
Oliana took deep breaths. After a few moments, she decided to investigate. The net was probably the easiest way to get all the information she needed, since she had access to so much.
She tried to stand up, but her leg was still asleep, and to make matters worse, she was starting to see little white dots. She knew it wouldn’t be soon before she passed out of-tiredness? Pain? She didn’t know how to call it, but she sure didn’t like it.
So much information was at Oliana's fingertips. So many that she didn't really know where to start. She pulled something up with her gauntlet, a hidden file that she'd stolen from Clementine's office. She knew she shouldn't be stealing files from her aunt but she had to.
And then, her world went black. But, the moment she opened her eyes—or, at least, she thought she had—she was floating in darkness. In space, some would say. There was nothing but pitch black for miles and miles. She wasn’t even sure if she was alive. If so, where was she? The only explanation that came to her mind, was that she was hallucinating. Or the glitch had killed her.
A file: Oriana Waialiki. It was Oliana. She knew it. Everything was the same, except Oriana was 10 years older. There wasn't much on file, not enough to be very different from Oliana.
“Hello?” Abigail called as she walked through the darkness. There was no answer, but a soft light far away from her, beckoned her to come closer. Like a moth attracted to the light, she started coming closer. As she came closer, she could see the outline of a woman.
Oliana made the file bigger, taking it from her gauntlet and displaying it midair in front of her. She scrolled through it, trying to find anything she might have missed, why she'd done this. "What secrets do you hide, Oriana?"
The woman looked at her. Or at least Abigail thought she did. Abigail wasn't sure, because she was hidden in the shadows. "Who are you?" No response. She really wasn't sure what she was expecting, but it wasn't this.
Oliana then pulled up her own file, placing it beside the other in the air. "Find any discrepancies between the files," She told the AI in her gauntlet. "Anything you can find. Anything that's different."
The woman stepped out of the shadows, and Abigail could see who it was. Oliana. Or Oliana’s doppelgänger. This person was about ten years older than Oliana and Abigail could see how tired the woman looked. The woman flashed her a smile, before she was suddenly awoken.
She looked around, trying to see who had awaken her, and saw that her dogs were licking her face. She laughed as she sat up from the ground and petted her precious dogs.
Oliana decided to sit on the ground, the screen running above her. This often took a while, and she was tired. "Make an alarm when you're done, please."
With that, she laid down and fell asleep.
Abigail knew she wouldn’t be able to sleep, so she was grateful for the distraction her dogs provided. She spent the next couple of house playing with them until they layer down in the ground. Abigail smiled from where she was standing. By that time, she was very tired, and she collapsed on the floor.
There was something calming about the net. It was dark, and it was quiet.
There was nothing that could make her feel in danger. Nothing that could make her doubt herself.
Darkness engulfed her. Even through her sleep, she could feel pain. And anger. But Abigail wasn’t sure where the anger and the pain had come from. She forced herself to keep her mind blank, a trick she learnt when she was younger.
A sound cut through Oliana's sleep, and she sat up to realise it was the alarm. She yawned as she read through the information, still half asleep.
Memories long forgotten made their way into her mind. Horrible memories that she had forgotten re-surfaced. And she was forced to see every single one of them replay in her mind. She was living in hell. She knew that now.
(ok so im not gonna lie, this isn't really going anywhere. but i dont want to be that person who just stops replying without saying anything. our other two rps are fine, this one's just…not. could we maybe mutually agree to stop it?)
(Yeah, I agree with you. This is really not going nowhere. Stopping this is actually a pretty good idea.)
(ooh ok thats a sigh of relief. our other ones are fine so we can just keep going on those :)
