Calixto narrowed his eyes. "No, I am merely suggesting you leave if you are going to struggle conversing with me like this. I… also don't want you to get fired," he replied. It was the same as ever, the man was always so forward. He didn't know any other way to talk. That didn't mean he was going to mention the other part of his feelings. He didn't like how his mind was tempted to wander if he stared at Cameron for too long.

Cameron shrugged a little. "They can manage without me, I'm sure." He replied. "It's not like I do much. I'm just one of the serving boys." Serving boy and bedwarmer, though the bedwarmer part had been optional. It made him extra money, though, and as a Berserker, he tended to have a higher, well, sex drive. It wasn't a problem, he didn't need sex, he just had a higher drive for it than most.

Cal had finished a similar thought in his head about Cameron being a "bed-warmer." Wait… if the man had sex for money on occasion, did that make him a prostitute on technicality? Calixto pushed the thought away. He didn't want an answer for that.
"If you say so," he replied, no longer glaring at the other. He probably shouldn't be staring daggers at Cameron considering the other male was his temporary caretaker.

Calixto found it hard to continue staring at the other in silence. It made his stomach churn in a weird way. It wasn't due to the food he had eaten. Not even any aftereffect of the alcohol. The feeling made him nearly want to shiver as it extended to his spine. Such kindness had to stop somewhere, right? It was so hard to understand Cameron in general.

@Painted-Iris group

Cal blinked a moment before replying. "Alright…" he said hesitantly. Nibbling on his upper lip, he watched as the other closed his eyes. Was… was he falling asleep?

@ElderGod-Icefire

Yes, Cameron was indeed somehow falling asleep, leaning against the couch with his eyes closed. The patch over his tattoo had started to peel off again, and the edge of the spear poked up along his cheek.

@Painted-Iris group

Calixto stared a moment longer, noticing Cameron's breathing was becoming more even. He sighed. If he was tired, he should have said so and gone to bed. Now? Now Cal was forced to simply wait where he was as he didn't want to rip the stitching in his chest by standing to move his host.
(ok idea: Cam leans to the other side and lays overtop Cal's legs)
(or we can do sleep talking from a nightmare or… something else)
(or we just have both of them fall asleep together)

@ElderGod-Icefire

(hnng honestly idk what to do. It might be funny if they fell asleep together and woke up cuddling/spooning lmao)

Cam shifted a little bit, but didn't wake up.

@Painted-Iris group

(lmao i thought the same thing aaaa)

Having nothing else to do, Cal took the plate and carefully set it on the floor so it wouldn't fall and break. Sighing, he watched as Cameron slept for a few moments before letting himself fall asleep as well.

@Painted-Iris group

After about an hour passed, Cal awoke to something clinging to his middle, just shy of the wound in his chest. He blinked, trying to have his mind able to process what was going on. It was then that he saw what was happening once again. "Stars, is this going to happen every time I fall asleep now?" he questioned to no one. He leaned his head back onto the arm of the couch, unable to simply get up and move. He was trapped, unfair, but square.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Cameron let out a sleepy hum, nestling closer to Cal, face pressed to the crook of the other man's neck, lips brushing lightly against the skin. He didn't really wake up, just shifted closer and continued to sleep.

@Painted-Iris group

Cal felt a shiver go down his spine. He felt the warm breath of the other on his neck. His cheeks warmed from how close his lips were to touching him. He didn't like how he could nearly hear the other's calm heartbeat in comparison to his own accelerating pace. This was far too close for comfort. At least when the first time this happened he could move and the bed was larger than the couch! He also couldn't move his arms at the moment either. Well, his left one he could, but he wasn't able to bend it backwards to move Cameron without any bones breaking. Cal closed his eyes, waiting for the moment the other would wake up.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Cameron eventually began to wake up, shifting and stirring from where he lay curled beside Cal. He opened his eyes sleepily. "Oh." he breathed faintly, pushing himself up. "'m sorry, I didn't mean to do that."

@Painted-Iris group

Calixto was stiff as a board, clearly uncomfortable with what had just happened. Stars, he wondered if some of his kind had to deal with this sort of thing on a regular basis. But… the more intimate way. Thank goodness it wasn't that bad, but his stomach was still upset considering he hadn't had a choice in the forced cuddle session. Cal didn't want to make the other feel bad as it hadn't been the worst thing in the world, but his mouth couldn't spit out the words, 'it's fine' or something along those lines.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Cameron studied him, biting his lip. "Cal? I didn't mean…I'm really sorry." he said, unsure why Calixto seemed so stiff and scared, but knowing it must have something to do with what he'd done. "I…"

@Painted-Iris group

"Don't apologise," he said out of habit. Honestly he needed to calm down. He was being ridiculous. "It's because I couldn't really move unless I wanted the stitching to rip," Cal said. It wasn't entirely a lie. The best lies have a hint of truth in them after all.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Cameron bit his lip faintly. "Are you sure? I…I really didn't mean to do that." sure, he liked being able to cuddle, but he wouldn't have done it without permission. He wouldn't have pressed up against Calixto like that, had he been awake.

@Painted-Iris group

Calixto hummed his agreement. He simply had to keep telling himself it was fine. He really couldn't escape from the mentality drilled into his head. He always saw the worst in the situation, and in people. Cal watched as the other sat up, feeling relief now. He didn't mind being near Cameron, it was just how close… those smooth… pink… soft… lips had been…
Cal nearly shook his head to stop thinking about it. It was done. It was over.
