If Cameron looked closely, he would be able to see a simple enough buckle. That was part of the design. Make it fairly easy to remove but impossible for the wearer to do so unless commanded to. As Cameron walked, the wounds throbbed, but Calixto was practically limp. He could feel everything and could only watch.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Cameron had to shift Calixto around as he pulled his keys from his pocket, murmuring a soft "sorry" to Calixto as he jostled him a little. He set the Mirro on the couch, and removed the collar. He gently pulled Calixto's shirt from his body in order to examine the wounds, frowning at the sight of them.

Calixto coughed as the collar was removed, now able to voice his discomfort. The shirt was stained with blood at the front, a slit still there from the knife that went into him. As much as he hated to admit it, the new wound was likely worse than the long scar that snaked its way along his spine. Most of the injuries Cameron was seeing on his chest were old.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Cameron sighed faintly. "I can stitch it, but it's going to hurt." He said, his accent poking through, stronger than normal. "Is…ah…alcohol. I can give you alcohol to help numb, or I can take you to hospital? A hospital?"

@Painted-Iris group

Calixto didn’t really know what to say. He’d never been to a hospital, but if there wasn’t one fairly close by, he might bleed out. He wasn’t even sure if blood transfers would work if he lost too much of his own. “Don’t care,” he managed.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Cameron chewed on his lip a little bit. "Alright." he said slowly. He could take care of the wounds himself here, and then take Calixto to a hospital? That might work? He grabbed a bottle, popping it open and gently pressing it to Calixto's mouth. "Drink."

@Painted-Iris group

Calixto complied, but as soon as the liquid hit his tongue, he cringed. It was quite strong and bitter tasting. How did anyone enjoy drinking this? Despite hating the flavor in his mouth, he swallowed quickly. As soon as the bottle was empty, he glared at it. Unless someone created something that was better tasting, he wouldn’t ever drink again.
Surprisingly enough, Cal seemed to be somewhat of a lightweight as his thoughts became fuzzy. “I… ha, that tasted… not great,” he stated, voice slurring a tad.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Cameron laughed a little. "Yeah, but that's not why I had you drink it." he grabbed some medical supplies, gently shifting Calixto's arms in order to be able to reach the wounds. "Hopefully being tipsy will help with the pain. Do you need something to bite down on?"

@Painted-Iris group

“Mmmaybe…” Cal replied. “Never able to… move before so I don’t knowww.” As soon as those words escaped his lips, he frowned. He had only meant to think the last part. Stars, he was rambling about the past to a stranger again. The same stranger. Well Cameron was completely a stranger? Wait… he was still bleeding out all over the floor. Yeah, that was an issue. Is that why Cameron was asking about something to bite? Why was he forgetting the important things about the situation…?

@ElderGod-Icefire

Cameron sighed. "Look, it's going to hurt like hell when I stitch this up. Do you want something to bite so you don't bite your tongue off, or what?" he asked, biting his lipa little bit.

@Painted-Iris group

“I’d like to keep my tongue, yessss,” Calixto said, shutting his eyes a moment. He could still feel the pain throbbing through his entire body, but his head was unable to respond properly. Why did his voice slur like that? It was annoying. Cal would have rather had something to numb only the pain and not his mind as well.

@ElderGod-Icefire

(lmaoo true tho)

Cameron sighed again, and grabbed a belt, sticking it in Calixto's mouth. "Bite down on that." He said firmly. He sanitized the needles and threaded it, and then crouched. "And hold still."

@Painted-Iris group

Calixto nearly flinched, the belt reminding him of a whip for a moment. After a second, he complied, teeth now digging into the leather material. He took a breath, waiting for the sharp pain the needle would cause. Calixto only hoped that Cameron was quick with sewing.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Cameron breathed out a quick prayer, and then began to stitch up the wounds, working as quickly as he could while still being accurate with the stitching. He didn't want to do it wrong and have to rip it out again.

@Painted-Iris group

Each poke stung with intensity, Calixto’s jaw clenching tighter as well. He shut his eyes, it being better that he didn’t have to watch. Cal was breathing heavily, trying to focus on staying still. At least what Cameron was doing was to help him rather than harm him. That at least was helpful to keep in mind.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Cameron continued working on the stitches, trying to be as quick as possible. He didn't want to have to prolong this for any reason. Soon enough, he finished, and tied off the thread.

@Painted-Iris group

The alcohol continued to make his head swim, the throbbing in his chest not being any help. He lifted an arm, his hand moving closer to where the injury was. He stopped himself after a second, not wanting it to open up again. Cal spat the belt in his mouth out finally, looking tired. “Thanksss…” he managed. He refused to sit up, worried the thread would snap if he did so.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Cameron nodded, cleaning the needle and putting it away. "You're welcome." He replied. "Get some sleep or something, alright?" He stood.

@Painted-Iris group

“Right…” Cal said, sounding quite defeated. His entire body ached and his vision still swirled a bit. Oh yeah, that’s definitely something he could sleep through. Calixto stared at the ceiling a moment. What if he had just… died? Would that have been easier? No more pain for himself and Cameron wouldn’t have to worry. Maybe… after all this he could…

@ElderGod-Icefire

Cameron took in a deep breath, putting the medical kit away. "If you can't sleep…I don't really know how to help. I could…tell you a story? if you like? I don't know." he shrugged his shoulders.

@Painted-Iris group

“You don’t have to try and help. I might end up just passing out again from the blood loss,” Cal argued, still seeing a few spots in his already spinning vision. He decided to close his eyes to stop having to look at his surroundings. The alcohol effects were making him a bit dizzy.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Cameron sighed faintly. "I…alright. You sure? I don't mind doing my best to help you in any way that I can." he replied, raising his eyebrows faintly.

@Painted-Iris group

Cal began to feel a bit frustrated. He really shouldn’t care. The people in the alley trying to sell him were closer to what he had in mind. Even if it was far from right, it was so hard to get into his head that Cameron was a caring person. “Worry about yourself. I’m fine.”

@ElderGod-Icefire

Cameron blinked. "I…" he said slowly. "Alright." he straightened, looking at Cal worriedly. "Are you sure? I just…I'm doing my best to help."
