(hhh idk what to do)
(hhh idk what to do)
(hahaha me either)
(I just want fluff tbh but this is a slow burn rp hhhh)
(argghh sameee lol. We could skip to that night, and like…the plan was for Cameron to come over and they'd talk, and then maybe one of them has a bad nightmare or something so they end up cuddling and the person who didn't have a nightmare comforting the one who did?? Would that work to satisfy the need for fluff??)
(hhh I feel like if Cameron would have a nightmare, Cal would be really stiff like idk how to comfort people)
(but if Cal had the nightmare I feel like he would be very uncomfortable with cuddles just yet)
(LIKE I HAVE FLUFF IN MIND AFTER HE LEAVES THE INN BUT HHHHHHHHHHH)
(because 2 years isn't long enough for discrimination to be entirely dead if you get what i mean and then injuries happen-)
(yeahhh makes sense)
(kk)
(ARGH)
(Oooooo I get it, yeah. Do we wanna just skip to that?)
(Um i guess? idk man lmao)
(hahaa we need to make up our minds)
(skip to when Cal goes to bed ig?)
(sure)
Calixto rolled his shoulders, nearly flinching at the light snap the stretching caused. Sighing, he rubbed at his eyes tiredly. What even was that? Moments ago he had been lounging carelessly around on the roof staring at the stars with Cameron. Why had he felt somewhat relaxed? It was as if all of his stiff muscles finally got their break and became more loose. He had yet to change out of his clothes, but he couldn't do so just yet until his mind calmed down. He was leaving tomorrow anyways. Cameron was just… a very friendly employee at this inn. Who was a Berserker. Who somehow was the only one to genuinely treat him as an equal. The whole time at the inn had been a mess.
A good mess?
Cal nearly groaned at the thought. Just because of one person, he couldn't think straight?
(omg lol sorry)
(haha it's fine! So is Calixto in his room now, or what?)
(yeyeyeye)
(alright cool)
Cameron was back at work, an apron tied around his waist and a smile plastered on his face as he served more food and alcohol to the men and women in the dining area. He laughed and flirted even though his heart wasn't exactly in it, but it wasn't as if anyone could truely tell the difference. When asked, he sprang into song, singing popular bartunes that everyone knew and loved, rather than any Kevran pieces, which were always…slightly problematic.
(ahhh hello i'm here, got all my schooling done this for this week :D)
Calixto fiddled with his hands a moment before lying back onto the bed. It was nearly impossible to sleep with all of the noise in his head. As if on cue, a familiar voice interrupted his thoughts. Cameron was singing again. It sounded nice considering all things, but there was something that seemed off. It was hard to say seeing as he knew next to nothing about vocals. Perhaps it was the lack of the extra warmth Cameron had when thinking of his homeland. He had seemed so happy explaining the stars…
The male's songs should have made him relax a bit. Sadly, his brain insisted on keeping him awake. So it was going to be one of those nights. On occasion he would end up wide awake until early morning, getting very little sleep. Sighing, Calixto stayed where he was, not wanting to leave his temporary room.
(nice :) )
They were problematic because they could be recognized, and then…it sometimes had interesting results. Mixed results. The innkeeper had asked him to refrain from such pieces unless they were requested. So he sang bartunes, the patrons singing along, most wildly offkey and wildly drunk.
Calixto stared at the ceiling for what was most likely a few hours. His thoughts had calmed down some, but that didn't guarantee sleep. Sighing, he stood out of bed, most likely to pace until he found something to do with himself or resolve to watch the roof once again. Oh if only he had some paint to watch dry, he thought sarcastically.
Cameron continued his singing until the work was over with, and he gently knocked on Calixto's door. Mainly to see if the other wanted some company. If he didn't, then…oh well. He liked Calixto's company, but he wasn't going to push it.
Calixto stopped in his tracks as he heard a light knock from the outside of his door. It was no surprise to him that, when he opened the door, Cameron was standing there. Cal did his best to give a small smile before stepping aside to let the other into the room.
Cameron smiled lightly as he came in. "You know you don't have to let me in, right?" He asked, raising his eyebrows over at the other male. "I don't mind being told no." He shrugged his shoulders loosely, putting his hands in his pockets for a moment.
Cal knew he could have done just that, and said no to company. There wasn't any harm of the other being in the same room with him. Calixto would likely be awake for a few hours after Cameron fell asleep anyways. There was also the fact he told Cameron he could visit if the other felt like it.
"I told you that you could come if you wanted. I don't think it's fair to go back on my word," he said simply. He already moved to sit on the small couch in the room. It took Cameron to realize it, but Cal knew he didn't like sitting in silence for too long. It reminded him of those dark nights in the basement with little light, warmth, or noise. It was never fun being alone with his thoughts.
Cameron nodded a little bit, plopping down beside him. "Alright. So long as you're sure about that." he replied, looking over at Calixto. "I don't want you to feel pressured into doing this." he ran a hand through his hair and took a deep breath. "So, how have you been in the last few hours?" he asked, raising his eyebrows.
Cal rolled his shoulders a moment. "I've been worse," he replied simply. It confused him as to why Cameron thought he was pressuring him. It really wasn't that big of a deal to have another person in the room. Well, a person who was kind anyways. Calixto turned his head too look the taller male in the eyes. "Is there something on my face or…? he asked, referring to the raised brows. It seemed the other was surprised.
