Aurelie shivered with pleasure at the touch, moving her lips against Cat’s. She savored the taste of the other’s lips.

(Do you want to move to pms?)
(tbh this is abt as far as i’m comfortable going)
(i’m going to bed anyway now so gn)
(I'm fine with that) Cat stopped the kiss but kept their foreheads connected. she rolled to her side.
Arm still around Aurelies waist.
Aurelie smiled at her. “So we’ve made out like two or three time now, but I still hardly know anything about you, besides your talent at art and that you have a brother,” she said, trying to initiate a conversation.
“It feels like a lot more than three,” Cat said smirking. “Plus I don’t know much about you either other than that you’re a cute princess.”
Aurelie blushed bright pink. “Okay, however many times…Anyway, I can start. Ever since I was little, my dad would read me stories about princesses getting rescued from a dragon by a handsome prince, but i’d write my own stories where the princess works together with the dragon and they become best friends. Then I realized I can’t write at all,” she said with a laugh. “Now you tell me something about yourself.”
Cat thought for a second, looking Aurelie in the eyes. "When I was little we had a small garden in our backyard. Me and my brother would grow tomatoes and all different kinds of flowers. He would always tell me stories of my mom while we work. She used to love flowers," She said smiling.
Aurelie smiled back, the other girl’s fondness making her happy. “That’s sweet,” she replied, meaning it. “I remember one time one of the boys that my father tried to push me towards and I ended up becoming friends to the point where my father thought we were dating. Then he told me was gay. We had to stage a ‘break up’ and everything for my dad to finally get the memo, though.”
She nodded. "Are you still friends?" She asked. Her hands still on Aurelie's waist.
“Yeah, he still works here,” she responded. “He’s probably my best friend here, still, but I keep things more secretive in case my dad gets curious.”
“That’s nice, ” she whispered. ”I wonder if I've seen him around. What does he do?” she silently prayed that he wasn't a guard.
“Oh, well, he’s a guard,” she replied. “He’s seriously the coolest. He even taught me some fighting skills, because my father wouldn’t.” She smiled with the memory.
Cat smiled softly. Her hand cupping her cheek. What did I get myself into? ”that's nice, ” she whispered again.
“Yeah,” Aurelie mumbled happily. “So, tell me about your friends. What are they like?” She wondered what it was like to actually choose the people you hung around with.
Cat thought for a second. ”I don't have many friends but I do have one. We haven't talked in a while but she’s really nice, ” Cat explained.
"What's her name?" Aurelie asked, her eyes bright. She was still smiling, content.
”Lisa, ” she lied without hesitation. Her thumb rubbing against Aurelie's cheek.
Aurelie melted at her touch, playing with Cat's hair with one of her hands; her other hand was on Cat's waist. "She seems lovely," she responded, though Cat hadn't really told her much at all. "Maybe I can invite to the castle one of these days so you two can see each other again?"
Cat shrugged “Maybe,” She said even though she knew that wouldn’t be a good idea. Might not even be possible if the rumors shes been hearing are true.
Aurelie sensed there was something that Cat wasn't saying, but she didn't press. She didn't want to make her uncomfortable. A random thought came to her, and she suddenly had to know the answer. "When is your birthday?" she asked, abruptly changing topics. "That's completely random, but I want to know."
”July 6th, ” She said finally telling the truth. It was only a month away. ”what about you?” she momentarily forgot about the princesses curse.
"Mine's in three weeks, on June 27th," she responded, thinking of the way her father was dreading it more and more every passing day. Meeting Cat was the first day that Aurelie remembered thinking of her birthday not as a ticking clock but as the end of this mess. "Our birthdays are actually really close!"
”yeah they are!” Cat agreed smiling for a second but it was weak. She really should stop waisting Aurelie’s time. Rob the place and then leave. If she stretches this out any long Aurelie won’t have time to find her true love. She also can’t have the princess think she’s the one. She knows her kiss won’t work.
