"We could say we lost a songbook and want to make sure someone didn't take it." He suggested, biting his lip.
"We could say we lost a songbook and want to make sure someone didn't take it." He suggested, biting his lip.
She nodded, pulling out of the parking lot. "That sounds reasonable. What…what do we do if we actually find anything? Download it onto a hard drive or something?"
"I think I might have one in my guitar case." He offered. "We'd just have to stop by that room."
“Okay.” She nodded, pulling onto the highway.
He hummed, left hand fingers moving into chord progressions.
She glanced over at him periodically, smiling to herself at his actions. Eventually, the teal jeep pulled into the studio parking lot.
Eric looked up, shuddering slightly. "Kinda weird being back here…" He mumbled.
She nudged him lightly, smiling. “We’ll be fine this time. Just don’t yell.”
"Got it." He said, nodding before getting out.
Lulu followed after him, humming a little as she opened the door for Eric.
"Thank you." He said, walking in. "I'll head to the room my band was in, and I'll meet you in the security office?"
Lulu nodded, planning to head to the drum room.
Eric walked down the hall to the room they were practicing in the other day, relived to find it empty and his guitar case there. "Yes!" He whispered, digging the flash drive out of the pocket and picking up the case.
Lulu stepped into the room - door now open and free, and looked around. There wasn’t much, except a little Manila folder that looked like the ones they’d first found back at the office.
Eric walked back out, heading to the security room.
Lulu shrugged and picked up the folder, figuring it was the least she could do until Eric came to investigate it with her. She started to walk back to the security office.
Eric stood by the door, waiting for her.
Lulu caught up to him, smiling a little. “Find it?”
He held up the flash, grinning. "Now let's get some footage."
Lulu returned the grin and pushed open the door.
"Hello?" He asked, peeking in the empty office. "Huh…"
"Not this again." Lulu rolled her eyes and walked inside, putting the folder on the desk. "Last time we were in an empty office together, we started a conspiracy theory."
"To be fair, we can't really start a new one at this point." He pointed out, following her in. "Wait, where'd you get that folder?"
"It was on the floor in the drum room where everything happened yesterday. It's not all that big, but there was also a briefcase I didn't check." She explained, sliding behind the desk.
He nodded, looking to find video of yesterday.
