He put the name in, showing her the screen. "April 16." He said, shrugging.
He put the name in, showing her the screen. "April 16." He said, shrugging.
She shook her head in disbelief. "Same day. Same exact god-loving day."
"Okaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy… this is freaky." He admitted. "And this is coming from someone who played with Ouija Boards growing up."
"Yeah." She nodded. "My parents believed in reincarnation and all that, though."
"Okay, but still… this is wild." He said, running a hand through his hair, which was gradually becoming more of a disaster as the day dragged on.
"Of course it's wild. Been a weird day," She said, frowning and brushing his hair to the side with her fingers. "You need to fix this. It's annoying me."
"It's not bad." He muttered, but letting her fix it anyway. "So, do we have any sorta plan."
Lulu shrugged. "Don't think so. Do we even have an objective?"
"Find out why the hell they want us dead?" He suggested.
"Probably to reincarnate us again." She said, gesturing to the phone. "But I would like to find out what exactly it is."
"But why? What would they get out of it? Also, I really don't wanna die!" He said. "I have already come close!"
"He was probably aiming to kill," She pointed out, putting a calming hand on his shoulder. Despite her angry nature, she hated when other people got upset. "We'll figure it out, just - time."
He sighed. "I know, I know… but still. They want us dead. We never did anything to them!"
She threw her hands up in agitation. "Well, the first step is asking Kathleen some stuff, then you were doing to do some other things with a ouiji board, and then-" She sighed. "I don't know."
"Sorry…" He muttered, wincing. "So, how long til we get out?"
"I could probably get out sooner than you. Think you can walk on that?" She asked, leaning over his shoulder again to gesture at his leg.
"Maybe?" He said, a bit unsure. "I don't know."
"Didn't think so either. I can talk to Kathleen, say, in person, if I get out today?" She offered, sighing.
He smiled. "Thanks." He said, playing with his fingers. "Any word on everyone else who was in there, by the way?"
Lulu shook her head. "No word since we got picked up. It would've appeared as news by now if they'd been discovered with weapons - trust me, I checked," She assured.
"Damn… These are pros." He said. "How are they going to explain away these?" He asked, gesturing to his leg and Lulu's arm.
"Um…might as well tell them the truth. Set the police on their trail, if nothing," She decided, straightening up as a doctor came in.
Eric looked up, nodding slightly.
The doctor gave Eric and Lulu polite nods in return, before pointing a pen at Eric. "You're going to need to stay for one more day - 18 hours at least, until we can prove the bullet hole will heal over without synthetic skin. And you-" She pointed the pen at Lulu- "Just need sticthes. You can leave once those are done."
Eric swallowed slightly, nodding along. "Thank you Doctor…"
