"There's something here. Here," Lulu pointed out, jabbing a finger at the screen that showed a split-second clip of two men in black suits, just like the men yesterday.
"There's something here. Here," Lulu pointed out, jabbing a finger at the screen that showed a split-second clip of two men in black suits, just like the men yesterday.
"I've never seen them before." He muttered, rewinding the clip. "What are they doing?"
"Running. Very fast. With a…with a suitcase!" She exclaimed, hitting the screen again with her finger. "Hang on. Pause right there."
He paused it. "What? What about the suitcase?"
"They had two. And then here - they dropped one!" She yelled. "That's the one in the drum room. We have to get it."
"I'll get it!" He said, heading out the door.
"Eric," She called after him. "I'm coming with you. Hang on."
He paused, turning to wait for her. "Fineeeeee…"
Lulu quickly caught up to him on his crutches, slowing to a stop. "You're slower than me."
"Ya don't have to rub it in." He muttered, starting to walk again.
"Okay, whatever," She responded with a small smile, leading him towards the small drum room.
"Okay, so, suitcase…" He said. "What do you think is in it?"
"I don't know. Let's find out," She said, opening the door and shutting it behind them.
Eric shifted awkwardly. "Would you like to do the honors?"
"Sure." Lulu bent down, unlatched the suitcase with a small click, and pulled it open.
Eric looked over her shoulder. "Well?"
"It's…it's a professional alchemy set," She breathed in disbelief. "Not a full one though. The other half must be in the other suitcase…Kathleen wasn't lying!"
"Whoa!" He said, shocked and confused. "…What's alchemy?"
"It's like…magic, but with science. Kind of like what I can do. The theory that all magic can be boiled down to science," She explained, taking out a couple test tubes filled with a swirling, lime-colored liquid. "I wonder if this is the stuff they took from Kathleen."
He shook his head. "Doubt it. If it's just scientific magic, her's wouldn't be lime green. Her aura is dark pink." He said, almost casually.
"Oh." Lulu blinked. "Wait, how do you know that?"
"Magic." Eric said, doing awkward jazz hands.
Lulu raised an eyebrow and laughed, shutting the briefcase and picking it up. "We need to go through this somewhere private."
"Oh, yeah, that… No one's at my place, if you want…?" He offered awkwardly, shifting his stance.
"Sure." She shrugged, opening the door for him. "I'll just need directions."
