Winter snorted softly as they walked to the hotel, shrugging slightly. "Ah, that's true, of course. Although you might not want to say that so loudly."
Winter snorted softly as they walked to the hotel, shrugging slightly. "Ah, that's true, of course. Although you might not want to say that so loudly."
"I wasn't being very loud," Mycah protested, opening the door and walking into the lobby. "It's not like there are any people around anyways," they continued in a softer voice. "Anyways… which one of us would they be less suspicious of?"
Winter shrugged, then looked down at his bloodstained clothes. "I mean…you have a point." he replied with a laugh, shaking his head a little bit.
Mycah looked Winter up and down. "Hmm… I'll talk to them. Weird eyes are better then blood everywhere." They walked up to the counter. "Can we have a room?"
"One or two beds?" The woman behind the counter asked, only giving Mycah and Winter a quick glance.
Winter stayed tucked behind Mycah, keeping the blood hidden. At the question, he frowned just a little bit. "I…don't really have a preference." he said slowly. He didn't mind sharing a bed. It wasn't like it would lead to anything.
"One, then." Mycah looked at the woman. It would be less money to only get one bed, and they needed to save money until they could get more.
"Okay." The woman grabbed a key and set it on the counter, then told Mycah the total. They paid and grabbed the key.
"Thank you." Mycah nodded at the woman and turned to Winter.
Winter raised his eyebrows just a little bit. "Let's go, then." he said. He knew he needed to put on fresh clothes, but that would have to wait for a bit.
Mycah looked at the number on the key, then attempted to lead Winter to the room. After a few wrong turns– that place was a maze– they arrived at the correct room. Mycah unlocked the door and held it open for Winter.
Winter chuckled softly when Mycah got lost, going into the new room. "Thanks, Mycah." he said. "I'm going to take a shower and change out of these clothes, if that's alright?" he raised his eyebrows.
"Oh, yeah." Mycah nodded and closed the door. "You need it way more than I do." They locked the door– one could never be too careful– then flopped onto the bed. At least they could sleep in an actual bed that night, instead of on the ground or in a car. It would probably do wonders for them.
(I'm cackling oh my god)
Winter nodded, and headed into the bathroom, where he hopped into the shower to wash off. He scrubbed at his hands, his arms, trying to get off the dried flakes of blood. He succeeded, for the most part, though some remained trapped beneath his nails.
(This is… Oh, gods, I can't take it. It's too funny.)
Mycah stayed stretched out on the bed, their eyes open and fixed on the ceiling. The faint sounds of Winter's shower filtered into the room, adding a layer of calming sounds to their mind. They couldn't wait to get into the shower either– they weren't covered in blood, but they still had general grime on them from hiding in the woods and all that. It would feel good to finally be clean.
(andrew (Our Supreme Lord and Overseer) did it as a prank lmaoo it'll be gone by tomorrow)
Winter got out of the shower and put on fresh clothes. He picked up the old ones and washed them in the sink, hanging them up to dry. This was, perhaps, not the best way to do it, but it was easier.
(Ha, well, it was fun while it lasted!)
Mycah sat up when they heard the water stop running, waiting for Winter to walk out of the bathroom. They took off their jacket and set it down on the desk near the bed. Mycah stood up and grabbed their backpack, which thankfully had a fresh change of clothes, and sat back down on the bed to wait.
(yeah!)
Winter came out of the bathroom, using his fingers to comb his hair into something a little more well-behaved. "Bathroom's open if you need to shower." he said, sitting down on the bed and looking out the window for a long moment.
"Thanks." Mycah walked into the bathroom and shut the door. They turned the shower on, tossing their dirty clothes into a pile to deal with later. The shower was quick and scalding hot, and at the end of it Mycah felt a hundred times better. They spent a few moments untangling their hair before putting on their clean clothes. After seeing what Winter had done with his dirty clothes, they copied him and hung their wet clothes beside his.
Winter was stretched out on the bed, staring at the ceiling through blank blue eyes. He didn't know what to do other than just lay here, quiet, his hands folded on his stomach.
Mycah opened the door quietly and padded over to the desk, trying not to disturb Winter. After dropping their bag next to the desk, Mycah started investigating the room. They opened every drawer and stared out the window for a while, trying to get a feel for the space.
Winter looked over at Mycah for a moment, then looked at the ceiling again, letting out a slow, soft hum.
Mycah turned away from the window and looked at Winter. "Feeling better now that you're free of blood?" They asked, running a hand through their damp hair. Their stomach rumbled slightly, and Mycah winced.
(i can't take this seriously. "Human syrup" lmaooo)
Winter nodded. "Mm. Yeah. You?" he replied. He sat up, leaning on his elbows and looking over at Mycah.
(Yeah… I almost burst out laughing when I read that… :)
"Well, I wasn't as bloody as you, but yeah. I feel better." Mycah dipped their head and walked to their backpack. Hopefully, there was some good food in there that could tide them over for the time being.
:)
Winter nodded again, glancing to the window for a moment, then back to Mycah. "So. What's our plan for the next few days?" he asked, arching his eyebrows.
"Hmm… We could try and find some abandoned place, go and rob a bank in Merilla… the possibilities are limitless." Mycah grabbed the backpack and sifted through it. They found an protein bar and opened it. "Do you have any suggestions?"
Winter listened quietly, then shrugged. "Both sound decent to me." he replied. "So it's entirely up to you which we do tomorrow. Or I suppose we could do both."
