Kira didn't realise he had slept in until his youngest sister burst through the door. "Oi! Sleepy-head, you're late!"
The room was silent for a moment as the two boys sat up, rubbing their eyes. At first, Kira's sister felt a little awkward, she hadn't known there was another person in the room, but then she remembered a time when Kira told her he had some friends who would stay over from time to time.
"Sorry to disturb you." she bowed politely, then ran out of the room, closing the door behind her.
Kira fell back onto his pillow. "Hey, Miki, is school important to you?"
The boy hesitated for a moment before sighing. "No, but if I don't go I will be in a lot of trouble." he didn't feel like being hit when he got home.
"Come on then, we'd best be on our way." Kira flung back the covers, grabbing some clothes for Miki and himself. "Don't worry, those ones don't fit me anymore so you can keep them."
Miki stared at the clothes like they were bars of gold. All he could mutter in his head was 'thank you', no one usually went out of their way to be nice to him the way that Kira was. It was almost suspicious.
The two of them were dressed and running to school before Kira's mother could even scold them for being late. Kira, as usual, had his earplugs in and his music turned all the way up. He held Miki's hand, and somehow the boy was keeping up with him—probably because he was gripping on for dear life.
How is he moving so quickly, what song is he listening to? Miki's legs were beginning to feel like lead as they reached the school, but they made it to their individual classes just as the teachers were taking the register.
"Sorry I'm late!"
"Sorry I'm late!"
Time for the facades to begin.
Asa sat in her chair and watched the clock. All she wanted was for today to be over with. Then tonight she could be herself and not hide. The teacher came in and started talking, but Asa stared out the window and watched the world go by as she sat in a chair, in a room that she didn't want to be in. People whispered about how cute she was when was spacey, but in reality she was listening to everything everyone was saying.
Ara made it to her class plenty on time. She leaned back and let the teacher talk, just twirling her pencil in her fingers. She could hear what the teacher was saying, but didn't bother paying attention at all. After all, she was in the quote, unquote, "dumb kids" class even though her actual intelligence was above the rest of these losers. She just never bothered to do well in school to keep up her reputation. There really wasn't a place for her in the world.
(I think I'm going to skip to after school.)
(Ya'll cool with me skipping, or did you have something to do at the school.)
The final bell rang and Asa quickly grabbed her stuff and ran out the door. She wanted out of this place. Plus, she need to drop off the money before the party tonight. People said goodbye and Asa just waved. "Now, I have to drop this off at a car repair shop." It was quite the walk, but Asa didn't mind. It was better than taking a car. After a while she made it to the shop and walked to the entrance. "Hello." There were plenty of people in there, and all of them stopped to look at her. She wasn't she if it was a good look either. "I'm just here dropping off money." Asa looked around for the girl, but wasn't entirely sure what she even looked like. "Well, I'll just leave it here." Digging through her pocket she pulled out her wallet and took out five hundred dollars. It was money she didn't need anyway. "Okay, bye." And with that she left. Asa didn't want to saty there any longer then she needed.
After the final bell, Arashi was calm walking out of the school. Once she got off school grounds, she went into a bit of a faster pace, excited to get to the auto shop. She arrived a few minutes before her shift started and began gearing up for the day. Her boss and the owner, Ima Higaki, walked up to her holding a thick stack of cash. Ara looked at it with wide eyes, "Where did that come from?"
"Some girl dropped it off," Higaki explained, "And I was wondering if you knew who it was for?"
"It would be for me," Ara confirmed holding a hand out for the money, "She was supposed to ask for Stormy, but I guess she forgot to."
Higaki laughed as she gave Arashi the money. Ara counted the money before putting it in her bag, "Of course she did. Now come on, your shifts started and we have customers."
Ara nodded and went out to begin work on the shop floor, Higaki watching from the shadows.
Asa went home and as soon as she opened the door her mother was standing. Her arms crossed over her chest as her foot tapped on the ground. "Where were you?" Asa gently closed the door behind her. "I had to do something." After saying that she passed her mom and walked up stairs. Waiting there for her was a maid to get her dressed and do her hair. "Hello miss. Are you ready?" No, she wasn't, but she couldn't say that. First she put on her dress which was an old fashioned dress. It had the frills and everything. It was red and an off white. Her shoes were black. And of course her mom wanted her to wear a matching hat. Next she sat in a chair as the maid did her hair. The one thing she refused no matter what anyone said, was wearing makeup, she hated that stuff. "Alright, you're all ready." Her mom waited in the car for her. Asa's dad was already at the party since he was the host. All Asa could feel was dread. She got in the car and her mom looked Asa up and down, then sighed. The car drive there was long and the closer they got the more Asa wanted to run away. A large building was seen and many cars were parked out front. Most the people here were old and Asa disliked most of them. "Let's go." Her mother put on a fake smile and got out, Asa did the same. Her heels hurt her feet and as she walked up the stairs. Once in the building Asa and her mother parted ways. Her mom went to mingle, while she sat at a table.

(Yeah for some reason no one can send me messages unless I send them first haha)
Mre was really not looking forward to the party, he was supposed to meet his 'Bride to Be' which also didn't help his dislike of parties. It's the twentieth century, why are arranged marriages even a thing nowadays? He thought to himself, annoyed. He pulled at his tie with a frown, it was almost strangling him which did not feel good whatsoever. "Mama, when does the party start?" He asked, giving up on his tie and looking out the window with a sigh.
Asa was already being asked for dances, but refused every one. It was a pain. Instead she decided to take a walk outside before any one the major happened and required her presence. But as she was walking out she saw the the boy she met on the street last night. What is he doing here? "Hello everyone and welcome." Asa's father's voice came out from the speakers. "Tonight we celebrate the marriage of my daughter and her fiance." He waved them both on the stage, but Asa couldn't move for a few seconds. She was stunned. Although she knew this was going to happen she wished it was all a dream. "Come," he said once more and finally Asa could feel her legs and she headed towards the stage with a smile. For some reason she wanted to cry.
Mre had an awkward smile on his face as he inched towards the stage, looking just about as uncomfortable as he felt. It took him a few moments to notice that the girl he was going to marry was her, Asa… Shit.
Asa looked at him with a blank face. She wasn't sure what face to make. Anger, confusion, sadness, whatever she was feeling she didn't like it. "Congratulations!" The whole crowd cheered. "Now for the first dance." Asa moved closer to her father, "Father, I'm not feeling to well. May I rest?" He smiled and nodded. Asa's dad cared for her a bit more than her mom, in fact her mom despised her for some reason. Asa threw another look at Mre before walking to her table once more. "Why don't you go talk to her. She is a sweet girl." Her dad patted Mre on the back and smiled.
Mre gave a wary nod and smiled politely. "Of course, I only know her a little bit from classes." He said, almost backing off the stage and walking to the table Asa was sitting at. "Well, this is… Sucky. No offence to you, of course, I just think arranged marriages are a little outdated."
"And no offense to you, but your totally not my type. And I'm going to do everything in my power to get us apart." There was no way she was going to marry this guy. "Anyway, I don't know how your family got so close to mine." Asa was extra rude today, she just wasn't feeling well. "Let's just pretend we get along for now."
"Oh… Okay." Mre's demeanor went back to shy before speaking up for a moment. "I think he and my Papa met through work, he works with importing goods from foreign countries." He told her, that's about all he knew. Before this day, all he knew about the man is that he was supposed to marry a girl he just met, which first off was outdated and against free will! Plus, he's super aromantic.
"Hm, I see. Anyway I also doubt I'm your type. Just to me, it I see you with some sweet girly girl, or something like that." Was she just assuming, yes, but he seemed shy and needed a sweet girl who also wasn't afraid to speak up, and that wasn't her. Her true self that not even her gang know was someone who just wanted freedom and happiness. Here she was fake, and in her gang she was also fake having to be tough all the time. Asa also was a girl and was hurt and wanted to cry, but that was weak, and weakness was bad.
Mre blinked a few times as he listened to her words, a small smile cracking his lips. "I'm aromantic," He said quietly, making sure his family couldn't hear, nor any other guests. "Not to change the subject or anything, I'm guessing your family doesn't know about your after school activities?"
"Ah, I see." Asa hadn't met someone who was aromantic. Did his parents know? "No they don't. I would probably be locked up in my room and never let out if they did know." This party was boring and Asa just wanted it to be over. "So, you don't have an attraction to anyone? And do your parents know?" It seemed interesting to her. Maybe he wasn't as boring as she thought.
(I'm currently working on a response, it's pretty lengthy so please bear with)

"No, I don't have an attraction to anyone. The most I feel with that is mostly a strong admiration like you would have while looking at a famous sports player or the president." He responded to the first question, mentally writing down what Asa said in his small list about her. "And they don't know, my parents are wonderful, but where we come from, being gay or anything is pretty much a death wish."
