Jake keeps walking towards Lighter. "They won't kill us if they don't know where we are." He stops when he sees Lighter backing up. "Why are you backing away? Are you scared too? Scared of what I might do? Do you really think I will hurt you?" Jake kept his dark eyes trained on Lighter for a while then looks away. He couldn't stand himself and the way people acted around him when he showed his true colors. He had to constantly remind himself that people feared who he was. That same thought that his family had drilled into him kept him from escaping them for so long. Maybe he should just go back. For some reason the though of returning made him feel at ease, especially with how Lighter looked terrified of him. Jake had yet to learn how to deal with situations like these, because whenever things didn't go his way the first thought was either to kill or force the person to do what he said. It was as if someone completely different was controlling him. He takes a step back, a broken look in his eyes. "Sorry. I didn't mean to scare you." He says harshly as he turns his back to Lighter. He reaches up to rub his eyes, giving out a shaky sigh.
(Lmaoo well thanks, but I'm beginning to think I made him too intense)
Lighter whined softly, looking anywhere but at Jake. Why did he attract all the abusive people?! Was he really that bad of a person that the world was trying to show him he needed to die?
All he managed to do was squeak when Jake spoke. This wasn’t the teasing, cute Jake he knew. This Jake was dark. He was almost too relieved to see him back away. Lighter had to flop back onto the bed. His entire body was shaking uncontrollably. He was doomed either way.
He was reminded that there really was no way to escape. Even if he killed himself he would spend an eternity in hell to be tortured. Maybe he deserved it though.
After a while Jake spoke up. "Now that you know who I really am do I have your permission to stay or do you want me to leave?" He asked, knowing full well that he was going to walk out that door. Jake reached for his other arm and rubbed it uncomfortably. He was the worst but he knew that he couldn't hide his true nature forever. If he had bottled it up and snapped at Lighter later on, he shivers at the though and makes his way towards the door. If he stayed, he might just become like one of Lighter's abusers. He wasn't about to let that happen.
A soft whimper left the throat of the broken male. “D-dont go…” He called out, hearing him take a step away. So what if Jake was abusive? Everyone else in Lighter’s world was. This was no different. He could live.
Besides, he was more afraid of what he would do if and when Jake left. “Don’t leave me! I’m afraid of what I’ll do.” He whispered, pulling a pillow into his chest. He was terrified. Of himself, if Jake, of the gang, of the world. The whole world was dirty and he was considering leaving it just a bit early.
Jake looked back at Lighter. Was this guy serious? Wasn't he afraid? Who in their right mind would want to keep him around? Jake closed the door as he had opened it to leave. "Lighter are you sure about this? I mean, I could leave now, try and take out that gang of yours, hopefully. and you won't see me or the gang anymore, sounds nice doesn't it?" He walked over to where Lighter was and sat down, he gave him a small side smile. "But if you decide to keep me now I can't promise that I won't do everything in my ability to keep you safe, even if it kills me. Just know that you're the nicest person I've met by far and that's an understatement." He pets Lighter's head, who looked like he was about to cry.
“What’s the point if I’m alone again…?” He mumbled, burying his face in the pillow. He didn’t want Jake to leave. He really didn’t. Jake cared, right? Didn’t he care?? He stayed after He had found out about the gang.
“I’m afraid of what I might do if I’m alone.” He added, holding his pillow close. “I want to keep you.” He whined.
The feeling of Jake petting his head made him flinch a little. But soon he was relaxed into it, closing his eyes wearily. “What if I kill myself… I’ve tried. Countless times”
Jake hugs Lighter, his dangerous aura turning into a protective one. That was just it. Anyone who wanted a go at Lighter would have to get through Jake first. He would go as far as killing if Lighter let him. "I won't leave you if you don't want me to, but if I get too much to handle just say the word and I'll be on my way." Jake smiled a bit at Lighter's answer. "If you want to keep me then make sure to use me to the best of your ability. I can do a lot of things you don't want to do or are afraid to do." Jake frowned a bit at the mention of suicide. "No Lighter, you can't do that. It'd be cruel to say you want me but then turn around and leave me. If there is anything I could do to take that thought out of your head I'd do it. You're not alone. Not anymore anyways." Jake runs his hands through Lighter's hair, trying to comfort the sad guy, though he was the last person who should of been doing that.
“I can’t use you… that’s not a safe relationship.” He stated, shivering at the thought. Sure he acted innocent and cute st times, but Lighter could be dangerous all on his own. He grew unstable when angry, and in order to keep his position in the gang, he had to beat down anyone against him.
“I just want to escape. The world must hate me because everyone around me just hurts me.” He said softly. “Even if I’m not alone I’m afraid I’ll end up all alone. I don’t want to live anymore if there’s no point in it.” Lighter threw himself st Jake, hugging him tightly. “But now you’re here. And you haven’t hit me… you have scared me though…”
Jake had a small grin on his face as he hears Lighter's decision. He'd only said to use him because that's what the other people in his life had done and at this point he didn't mind so much anymore. "The world is pretty jacked up, you just have to know how to get back at it….and there's more to the word 'escaping', it doesn't necessarily mean that you have to take yourself out of this world. We could run away…" he trails off then flinches when Lighter suddenly hugs him. "H-hit you?! I would never..!" He hugs Lighter back, blushing a little. "You don't have to be afraid of being alone…I'll be here for you. Though I really am sorry about earlier…I'm not used to what you guys call normal human behavior. I seem to lack that for some reason" Jake felt weird talking about himself not being 'normal', he knew he wasn't but he had never admitted it out loud.
((Aw crap. I just realized they’re on their way home and I might have just said Marcus flopped onto the bed. ^^’))
He listens with a soft sigh. Run away…? That sounded better. But could he really get away from those who harmed him? Or would new ones take their place. “I want to run away with you.” He mumbled, his grip tightening around Jake.
“I don’t want to be alone. Thank you…” he buried his face in Jake’s shirt. “Don’t be sorry… it’s alright. Is this why you wanted to run away from your family? You said they were… you know.”
(Lmaoo that's alright we can just pretend they were already there since I just tagged along with what you said)
"Then run away with me" Jake said in return as Lighter's grip tightened around him. "And don't worry, I won't be going anywhere so you won't be alone" Jake's voice had taken on a sort of gentlness to it. It was hard to believe that the person he was a few seconds ago was the Jake right now. Jake smiles sadly at Lighter's question. "Yeah…for as long as I've known I've had to participate in these street fights were people go to bet, y'know, for fun….even at a young age I was thrown in. My mother just stood by and watched as my father did with me as he wished. I was home schooled, which meant I got to spend my days in the dark basement. Being tested again and again by my father. He wanted to make sure I was ready….ready to kill that is. That and my cousin tried to take advantage of me but that's just a minor inconvenience"
(Thank XD I’m dumb)
He nodded, whining. “Let’s just live here, away from everyone.” He replied softly, closing his eyes and pulling Jake down onto the bed with him. “Street fights are only fun once or twice.” He commented. He had joined a few. But he preferred to stay away from them. “Your cousin what!?” He cried out, his eyes opening. He pulled Jake into him. “He didn’t do anything did he?! Was it a He??”
(Lmaoo nah dude you're fine, it happens)
Jake sighed, feeling relaxed for once. It felt nice. He closed his eyes as he laid down on the bed. "We could but it wouldn't last forever…" he said in a tired voice, not bothering to open his eyes. "Mhm, it wasn't too bad though when they force you to kill the person in front of you….that's when it became a big no no for me…" Jake was about to say something else but Lighter suddenly jerked him closer towards him on the bed. "W-what? Oh…yeah it was a guy and no, not this time…I managed to get away this time around. That's why I planned to run away…even before all that happened"
Lighter let out a sad sigh. Nothing good lasted for very long. “You’re right. “He whined, burying his face in Jake’s neck once he had flopped backwards into the bed. He listened to Jake, biting his lip. Killing the opponent was too harsh. It was the reason he hated steeet fighting. “Not this time!?” He suddenly growled, pulling Jake closer. “I’ll kill them all. I can do it too… I want to hurt them.” He huffed. Somehow he didn’t seem threatening. Maybe it was because he couldn’t kill anyone. But Marx could. He had connections. Even if it would anger Jake.
Jake looked away, he didn't really like talking about it. "Well, I was once straight" he joked. "But who can stay straight after that?" He luaghed a bit. Jake was so close to Lighter now that he took the opportunity to kiss his boyfriend. "It's alright, really. I'm over it, it wasn't a big deal, don't worry about it too much" he said, warming up to Lighter. He had never seen Lighter this worked up, it was cute.
Lighter didn’t laugh. He only frowned. “I don’t like your family.” He said softly, huffing. He smiled at the kiss, however, snuggling into him. “I need to worry. You’re my boyfriend…” he mumbled, stealing another quick kiss. He was hungry for more.
Jake relaxed his posture, not realizing that he had been so tense when he was talking about his family. "Yeah, me neither…" Jake chuckled at Lighter when kissed him a second time. He snuggled up to lighter, holding him close, liking how the warmth of his body felt.
“Stay with me.” He mumbled, squeezing his eyes shut tight. “It’s warm here.” With a soft laugh, he relaxed. “I’ll try my best to break whatever habits those family members of yours have you. I’m going to make you mine and I’m going to make you happy.”
Jake smiled. This was the first time anyone wanted him for other than killing. "Mm mhm, I think I will stay~" he said in a blissful state. He wasn't gonna lie, he was genuinely happy. Jake's smile only grew as he listened to Lighter. "Sounds like a plan, I just hope I don't end up scaring you anymore…" he muttered as he nearly drifted off to sleep. Finally some real rest in a long time.
“I’ll do my best to understand…” he knew that would be hard. Jake had scared him pretty badly before, but he seemed so calm now that Lighter had forgotten the experience. “Just know I do love you… even if you end up hating me I’m still going to love you.” He murmured, pulling Jake in close.
Jake shook his head gently. "I could never hate you no matter what you do. I love you too much for that" If Jake would have been fully alert right now he probably would have been blushing like crazy. He wanted to rest a bit more by Lighter's side. He hoped that Lighter would stay. He'd figure something out to get them both out of here. Jake drifted off to sleep in Lighter's arms thinking about the many possibilities the situations could go down but no matter how hard he thought about it, it either led to Lighter getting killed or getting himself killed.
“I love you too.” He mumbled, letting himself drift into a half awake, half asleep phase. He hummed softly, shivering in delight at the thought of staying with Jake forever. He pressed a soft kiss to Jake’s jaw. “I love you more than anything.” He added once he noticed Jake was asleep.
(alright since my character is already asleep I really got nothin' to say dude. Maybe you could pull some strings right about now?)
((Yeah Just Hold on I gotta do some stuff.))
(alrighty you're all good my dude)
